- Revelation 4-5
With the churches addressed, John’s gaze turns toward God on His throne, a majestic sight that demands surrender and submission.
We exist to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
I wish I heard this sermon 3 years ago. I was stuck in sin and being swept away by rebellion and complacency. Praise be to God for drawing me near in his gracious power.
Thank you, Lord 💗
Great teaching Pastor Matt!🙌
This might be one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard in my life.
I'm Loving The Revelation Studies So Much! Thank You For Putting This Out!
Eye opening sermon ! Wow!
The "baby thrones" we build and follow vs the actual Throne of God as revealed to us in Revelation.... WOW! What a great message!
Wow!! I wish this message played on primetime TV for all to see.
Love this - "You don't drift towards godliness. If you let go, you get swept downstream, you don't move towards godliness. If you have found yourself adrift, the invitation is to confess and repent. Repent is not a dirty word, repentance means "I'm not done with you, get back here".
Matt Chandler has reached Triple OG status with the glasses. Love this man.
“Our life is a place of convergent space!” Simply beautiful! Your sermons are poetry - profound and palpable in their love for Christ and His church. Thank you for blessing so many with the truth!
SO GOOD.
I’m loving this series!
Amen
Same!
Thank you, Pastor Matt and The Village Church, for sharing this message. I prayed that prayer at the end from my convergent space in Sydney (Australia), and I needed that to remember the sweetness of worship. Joel 2:12 “Even now,” declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” God bless.
Enjoying this series! Thank you Pastor Matt for teaching Revelations!
This series is being such a blessing to my life. Thanks Matt, thanks TVC for making these resources available for all of us!
I thank God for you, pastor Chandler. Peace and blessings to you and your family. much love. -JE
The anointing on Pastor Matt is strong. God does not call us to be lukewarm Christians. Thank you for your strong word, I needed to hear it.
This sermon was simply excellent, thank you pastor Matt for being obedient to the Word of the Lord
Love
Thank y'all for the last part. Much needed.
I am so grateful for this series! Thank you for responding and running with the call God placed on your life. It’s such a blessing!
🙏✝️
LOL to "I can already feel the emails I'm going to get on that."
Love this series, Indiana
this is wild 🔥🔥
Thank you Pastor Matt for opening my eyes on about own privilege and unwittingly complicity in white supremacy. I have really seen how Ephesians 2 supports this and I repent of my whiteness
SO SO GOOD
Love this series!! I read Reversed Thunder by Eugene Patterson and I notice you quote him often. You have the same view of Revelation. It's beautiful and makes so much more sense! Matt mentioned a resource handout to read through Revelation during the week between sermons. Do you have a link for that please? Thank you for all you do! ❤️
I think the joke 100% worked. 😆
What was the prayer book Matt mentioned in the sermon? Can’t remember at what mark he talked about it! LOVING this series by the way.
Every Moment Holy! 🤗
I came to the comments to look for this exact thing! Thank you.
@@nikkistautzenberger2663 I ordered it. It’s AMAZING!
@@leighwilkinson2701 yay! I ordered it just this morning after I found the title.
Can someone explain the opening joke to me? Help 🙏
Pretty sure he's talking about the weather in DFW over the past week.
The ice storm
There are seals, trumpets, and bowls in Revelation going throughout the chapters. His joke was poking fun at people who interpret each aspect of Revelation as something on earth in the end time. He was joking about the big Texas storm being interpreted in that way. I could be wrong but that’s how I took it.
What’s “good ole boy Bible Belt theology” lol 41 minute mark
Cultural Christianity: going to church, trying to do what's right, without a real relationship with the Lord Jesus.
John is Jordan
Why do you quote Peterson and not the bible. I study bible prophesy for 40 years and by no means I claim to know and understand everything, but you make my head spin, not a single bible verse nothing but crazy yelling no real teaching....sorry,but that is terrible
I wish all pastors would stop pretending like they have all their crap together. "You" "You" how about "Us"
You need to listen to more of his sermons. He admits his faults plenty
His willingness to confess and repent, along with his fearlessness in calling me to do the same, has helped me be confident in Jesus enough to do the same. And it has literally saved my life.
@@cjensen0511 agreed.
stop yelling matt
