0:57 yep, it is an automatic transmission. In fact that thing is so easy to drive. One gear lever (1-2-3-Auto [4 gears in total]), one lever for the direction (forward, backward, neutral and turning on the spot), gas pedal, a huge braking pedal and a steering wheel. Step on the gas and you unleash the 4.700Nm of torque that 46.7l V12 generates. Trust me... that thing has no problems with slopes at all.

How's ur opinion about the destroyed leo2a4 in syria ?
Is it because the army didnt really know how to operate the tank like its supposed to or leo2a4 is already considered obsolete at this point ( aka weak ) ?
@@uthopia27 I'm not familiar with the whole operation, but it seems like they were not used correctly. Obviously tanks are designed for tank combat (not fighting ATGM squads) and ATGMs are designed to specifically take out tanks. When the tanks are deployed solely without proper air and infantry (reconnaissance) support, they are basically prey for everything other than other tanks.
My tank commander always said, in the best case you can see the muzzle flash of enemy ATGM fire and return fire to take out the guidance systen of the ATGM, but that's a matter of a few seconds and really the best case scenario.

This bad boy is the workhorse of my top tier german line up ! Cheap repair cost so you can do some careless stuff in it.
Im a german and USA player both the 2A4 and m1 abrams are great top tiers i gotta give the survivability to the abrams tho that thing survives all kinds of stuff.
@@gingerbaker1785 Yeah, I find the abrooms survive hits a little better than the leos in general. Probably because of the fuel tanks and also the increased interior space in the crew compartment.
Yes the 2A4 is that type of "do it all" tank it's in everything just good enough to be excellent but not OP but currently have it swapped for the 2PL since it's a tad bit better and after selling my XM8 I had some GE to burn so >.>

I would love Leo 2A4 Late with C variant armor and DM33 to be added
DM23 can do the job, the only problem is that it doesn't punch harder enough to penetrate any Abrams's variant LFP, which may be a problem, just shoot below the turret anyways.
But i agree, DM33 is more than welcome to be added.

Blows my mind that the Type 90 is a full BR higher, because "muh 4 second auto loader" when it has worse protection than this vehicle with a VERY subpar round for 11.0. Longtime viewer, first time commenter here Justin. Been grinding the German TT and feel that with the 2A4 Leo I'm getting uptiers all the f**** time.
Like TURMS are no problem when you are one shot by DM 33 and DM53 coming from 2A5 and 2A6 Leos, never mind T80 BVM and Strv 122 PLSS.

I know the Leo 2PL is in game now, but still kinda wish they can somehow add an armor ONLY package for the standard 2A4 as an upgrade or something. Just an overall add-on armor package, like on the Challenger 2. So overall, it will only increase armor slightly, and the 2A4 would still only be able to fire DM23 and only have 1st-gen thermals.
Edit: I meant just the armor, nothing else. So I’ve removed the word revolution I used previously.
Nope. Leopard 2 Revolution is significantly different from standard 2A4. If 2A4 were to get Revolution as an upgrade you'd have to move it up to 11.0
uhm the revolution package (the first one to be sold to Singapore) is consider to be superior to the 2PL or the 2RI and the FCS is also upgraded
it would easily be a 11.0 with the package and depending on witch variant it would even come with an APS
sooooooo its not really comparable to the challenger 2 upgrades and would not stay at 10.0
but we could get the C-tech 2A4 instead

Though, SG didn’t get the revolution armor package. It’s similar, but not. In fact, the Leo 2SG is exactly the upgrade I’m looking at.
It’s purely armor for the most part. Not much changes to FCS and ammo. SG opted for a generic AMAP package upgrade. The turret armor is supposedly weaker than the 2PL which got the full AMAP turret package. Thus because they saved weight there, SG went for the hull package instead, which wasn’t possible on the 2PL cuz of weight.
So all I’m asking for is an armor upgrade package, nothing else.

my dad served on a 2A4 as a turret mechanic. he had an absolute blast with his crew and I will too if I ever serve on or with a Leopard 3 crew

The only reason I got the TURMS is to help me grind out the Soviet tree, Just haven gotten the T64B and the T-72A, I CAN SUPPORT MY TEAM. New players come in and just die in their shiny new T-72. Gaijin should make it to where you have to be a certain tier to buy it
You should try the HSTV-L right now, since new top br is 11.0 it cant verse top tier, and you constantly verse premiums. Very fun

Ok so you made me play my 2a4 again but damn the uptiers are unplayable i just had a match with 9 Ka-50s, you cant counter that you spawn in a plane eat ATGMs you spawn in a tank eat ATGMs. I don't even want to know how much money Gaijin makes with Ka-50 sales.

Till red skyes russian mango round 479 mm pen could not pen the turret checks on 2a4,now it can,no one noticed,that means hiden armor nerf on 2a4

With the leo 2a6 and 2a5 I'm having a blast at least 7 kills per match
