I am so impressed by this channel. What a phenomenal resource of Batman knowledge and history. Well done on the excellent work not only your analysis, but your presentation and the time you clearly put into your investigation to present literature some have never been exposed to before. I honestly want to say thank you. Seriously, keep it up. Bob, Bill, and Bruce would be proud. 🦇
Mr. Salazar I love that you go so deep into the history of Batman no other UA-camr ever has. I don't think I've ever said this before but you really are the Dennis O'Neil od Batman comics history.
Mr. Salazar the story was a breath of fresh air a story that's more about Gotham's people than Batman punching criminals in the face or stopping their plans from destroying Gotham. I remember I saw the nerd tanks video on why people still live in Gotham personally I wouldn't 100% satisfied with his analysis but yours gave me a whole new perspective thank you.
I have no idea of this story, and i´ve been a batman fan for 20 years. Thank You!!! Only in your channel i can found such a gem! Your channel is underated but amazing!!
This sounds like a great story. I bet one of the reasons it is overlooked was because it did not feature enough batman and these days, modern fans only care about batman I hope DC re release this mini series one day. It needs more recognition.
Hey Salazar, This video was a nice surprise, great insites as always alongside video presentation that gets better and better with each new one. I've been getting back into Batman again in a serious way and going back to hunt down those gems I'd missed first time round. Been years since I read this and it's sequel which came soon after. Please keep up the stellar work old chum!
Wow. What a hidden gem this story is. It let me very impressed by how human the story. It makes Gotham a very real city with very real problems, but real people.
My main beef was the arc of the Hispanic dude that was an ex-henchman. I wanted to see something positive come out of his subplot and was kinda let down when nothing did.
The intro was really good! You should do more vídeos like that. The history of the Gotham designs seens really intresting. I suppose that the batmobile and the batcave are also interisting
Secret origins vol 2 #6 explained the golden age batman took place in Gotham all along he was just visiting New York in detective comics #31 to visit Julie Madison.
I've had this series for probably 3-4 years, and knew what it was about...just never really got around to reading it...think I might change that very soon
Awesome video man as always, I love the art in this story it really showed that the city is a living thing and did you know there's a Batman Gotham Nights 2. I have both of them in my collection
Great video! Your voice-over summaries are enthralling. Your analysis's are enlightening. The little intro about Gotham's evolution was great too - it was a way to highlight the importance of the stories you were about to go over, and it was entirely on-topic. You keep getting better too!
@@SalazarKnight Thank YOU! I want you to know you're really, really good at this -- even if you don't get a ton of recognition. Whenever one of your videos pop on my timeline I always get excited to watch it right away. It's also nice to see you improving at a consistent pace -- your care with each video comes through. You're really sharpening your writing and analysis, and you'll have those abilities the rest of your life to use however you see fit.
Loves these videos. So informative, well researched and entertaining. I can't remember a time that I haven't loved Batman and your videos have taught me so many things about the comics I never knew. By far the best Batman series I've seen. Thank you for giving me something to love. 🙂

This is an awesome comment. Thank you, so much! 🖤
@@SalazarKnightthe Gotham city art set depicting from BTAS from lego has been revealed. what are your thoughts on the"ahem" Questionable price?
Amazing to see a Gotham story and not a Batman story.
Agreed. They just don't make them like these anymore.

Thank you for giving me Answers and remind me and many others that Gotham is worth saving after all
This is definitely interesting 🤔
Dude I love your videos. Even if your tell the plot of issues covered, i still hunt them down to add to my collection because they sound so good.
Gotham to me is a mixture of Gothic architecture of Burton and The Chicago Gotham of Nolan

Surprised we haven’t seen more of these types of stories in the comics.
I think it's because they're not very popular and they don't sell. That's the problem with modern comics.
True. Sad but true.
I always love the idea of examining the lives of regular people in a superhero world
Such a great story👌👌👌👌
My main beef was the arc of the Hispanic dude that was an ex-henchman. I wanted to see something positive come out of his subplot and was kinda let down when nothing did.
Nice! I'll check the story out!
I thought I was the only one who read this comic !
thank you so much, I just found you and can't wait to watch the rest of your content.
I love this comic so much

I like this new approach you’re doing with your videos.
I'm glad you like it! I'm enjoying making them this way too. It's the natural evolution of the channel!!

Yeah. That's a nice bit of retcon there.

Thank you for being here!
I like to think of Bruce as a medieval knight in the feudal sense. Where his land is his responsibility
Wait what? I thought Gotham was established earlier than Batman #4. Huh, cool.
Amazing video! This looks like a great series. Definitely overlooked, like you said.
It really is! Great and overlooked, indeed. Thanks for the comments. Yours always brighten my day.
Well now ive gotta add this to my collection.
thank u anton! and thank sal knight for this channel, and shedding light on these artists of batman’s comic history 🦇
