What a beautiful conversation. Lots of profound little bits in here. I LOVE “There is such a difference between needing to have the answers so you can survive and having the questions so you can maintain a sense of aliveness”.
midnight day two in Bali, awoke wide awake after only three hours of sleep, I comfort sleeplessness with listening to things that fascinate me and how I ended up here, I listened two and three times several parts of this poignant conversation. I have never known either of these gentlemen until tonight. I lie in the nights shadows with tears streaming down my face. Awe, moments like this whisper there is reason to hope, stay curious, continue surrender to the strange winding way I have unfolded myself even tho it’s been often uncomfortable, sometimes excruciating. I am so grateful for beings as these curating such timeless wisdom, fostering renewed hope in the very akward art of becoming ourselves. I wonder if these men are still alive in this realm. What gems and gifts they truly be.
“Those places that frighten me or seem like they can overwhelm me and at the same time touch something deeply in me, enliven me, call to me … I’ve learned this is where my growing edge is and what I need to lean into now.”❤🎉
There is a growing body of us who are learning to practice and preferring/leaning towards this alive, respectful, curious approach to practice and life. I hope you found someone who is helping you.
