Im 2ND Year B.Tech Engineer, studying Electronics and i thank you Prof. S.Datta for these lectures series. I want to study Spintronics, could somebody tell me how should i start also which book should i read??
Implemented solutions to the corresponding book "Quantum Transport: Atom to Transistor, S. Datta (2005)" can be found at github.com/dafer45/DattaQuantumTransportAtomToTransistor
10:28 the fermi level or electropotential is an average property, but I think that you only try to introduce the concept, perhaps try a different approach, the highest level of energy of the electron isnt the Fermi level for batteries, neither the strict formulation of Fermi level. I still think, it is a great lecture putting this aside.
Very clear illustration and a well-prepared teacher. Thank you.
14:00 great explanation of the electron motion in a solid.
Dhonyabad Prof. Supriyo. you just helped me in my PhD thesis.
The contents of the lessons are quite close to the book "Electronic Transport in Mesoscopic Systems". BYW, he's so confident and fascinating.
What a great lecturer.

Loved the lecture. Also the music at the start is TIGHT.
24:00 first time I hear semicalssical, yeah, it is a good way to introduce abstract concepts
Great Sir. Love your teaching..
when we talk of conduction in mosfets,we actually consider inversion layer electrons and these electrons are in conduction bands
wow! amazing lecture!. thanks a lot professor.
very useful
Where is second half, Part B ??PLZ

is this complete course ?

When you talk of metals you actually have the highest energy level called as fermi level cuz CB and VB are merged.
And these are metal contacts
