Looks like a good haul dennis. I picked up a Shakespeare Intrinsic No. 1903 Model FE (1956) baitcasting reel for 10 bucks. I just cleaned and re-lubricated it. I now have 5 vintage direct drive reels. My 3 Shakespeare are on rods and ready to go. The other 3 are on my shelf, but i wouldn't hesitate to use them either
I have that Daiwa A reel. I also have the Shakespeare Tiger that my daughter bought. I have 5 Mitchell 396 including the very rare 396 MP model. That Spinfisher is a rare first edition 1961 700 that was Penn’s first production spinning reel. You recognize it by the green handle. I own two of them both in much better shape than this one. I own two Mitchell 900 and 906 reels in my collection. They are fine reels but forget about finding parts. You once did an Airex Beachcomber reel so it’s in your library. I have a very nice working one that I have used surf fishing. That rubber piece inside must be cared for because you’ll never find one. Great haul of reels. Of course I think the Mitchell 396 and the 900 and are the ones I’m interested in the most! - Chris pS. Thanks for the info. on that Julius Vom Hofe reel. That one was extraordinary to say the very least!
Thanks, that would be great. From what I’ve found it also goes under Pfleuger make. The weird thing is it doesn’t have a nut holding the handle on, but I can’t see how it comes apart 😥🐟🎣
Hi Dennis, I would be interested in that Beach Marter (Lionel) reel. I collect Lionel trains and have never heard of Lionel making fishing reels. I would even be willing to buy that one from you. It would make a great conversation piece when people are looking at the train collection. Please consider me for that one. Thanks and great channel.
