Dennis, IIRC the ''A'' suffix on Mitchell multipliers meant they could be taken apart without tools (spool change etc) .......no suffix after the model number means screwdrivers etc.
Thanks - but this "thumb" screws are on pretty tight and they have a slot for the screw driver if needed.....and I need it! I appreciate the additional information - Dennis
I will try to do that. The slammer drag is essentially the top drag, but mounted under the spool. The idea is to prevent water intrusion and debris from fouling the performance of the drag system - Dennis
I have loved your videos for a long time. You have inspired me to make my own videos. I have been running offshore charters and therefore working on all varieties of tackle. Your library has become my “phone a friend”. I was grateful to hear you mention the weakness in the white Mitchell plates, customers often think I’m not truthful about flaws like that. Just like the Penn “Colormatic” colored Bakelite plates. Do you have a preference for spinning or conventional reels?
Mu preference is convention and bait casting reels. The Ambassadeurs are my favorite cross over reels. I use the spinning reels for pond fishing - Thanks for the note. Glad to help you out as the phone a friend. Sad that we have to take the brunt of the issues caused by bad design or inferior materials, but I guess someone has to! Thanks again - Keep watching! Dennis PS - what is your channel name? I will sub you
Dennis, The Spinning Reel if Possible.
I will try to do that one
Love Sweden made Abu's!
The only ones you should consider purchasing are made in Sweden.
Exactly, only have 8 in my arsenal.

Yes they are - that Slamer should be interesting
The oxidation on the chrome is cleaned up easily with a small crumpled ball of aluminum foil dipped in household vinegar.
I will try that. Thank you
I liked this bunch of Reels more so than any lately . I'm curious to see what's going on with the NO - REEL .

Can you do a video on the reel with the slammer drags and also explain them?
