- First time running out on my new Seadoo Fish Pro. This thing has so much power compared to what I am used to captaining. I just can’t wait to get it out in familiar waters and start ripping some lips!!

Great Video! I recently purchased a 2020 GTX 230 - the power is intimidating at first but you get used to it trust me! 65mph is plenty fast for me! I added the Garmin Echomap 74sv too! Looking forward to more of your videos!
So do you think its better to get faster engine? And mount everything else that fisher pro has?
@@ia6980 Honestly it totally depends on how you are riding. I ride with a lot of 300 riders and wanted to keep up better! If you are riding alone then I think you will be fine!
Congratulations on the new PWC when you finish the break-in period that will fly on glass water conditions you might see 50mph. I don't know if they're still around but there use to be a group of PWC that will go fishing all around the Bay including the 3-mile rig out on Crystal Beach, in the wintertime you can catch large Porgies out there. Just an opinion practice getting back on the PWC if you accidentally fall off it and carry a strap-on knife on your calves, just in case. Again, congrats on the mini-speed boat.

I just sold mine, had it for less than a year. You can't run shallow with them and all the back bays . It was fun and fast as hell in sport mode. Definitely recommend going offshore with the jet ski group. The braking system is fun .
Yah the cool part is if I want to get skinny I still have my solo skiff or aluminum boat. I mainly got this for wade/bay/jetty/offshore fishing.
I definitely recommend adding a strap down on the chest and rods for added security. Heard stories the chest locks breaking. I just used bungee cords. Have fun man bro, the guys that take them off shore said once you take it offshore you'll never inshore fish again

Hoping to get the call soon that mine is ready. Trophy with tech package and a few extras. Stoked to understate it. Wanted their Switch pontoon boat, but they went SUPER fast!
What is the tech package and what extras, do you love it?
@@Deuce_Allan it's got the two screen monitor on the beast, and interlinks between it and the fishfinder for engine monitoring etc. I upgraded to the Switch '18 Cruise this year, dealer lowballed enough that I now own TWO SeaDoo producet, a '22 and a '23....... That should speak volumes. Fish Pro is awesome for trolling fishing, still fishing, or just ripping ass up the lake and getting all airborne and stupid...... I hope eventually my grandson wears it out and has to rebuild it so HIS kids and rip around lakes......
honestly I can't remember much of the song and dance number beyond that. It allows plotting your trips on phone etc tho.

@@Deuce_Allan Yeah, it's a crap shoot for me.... I mean, you pay a lot more for new, but you are not inheriting someone else's stupidity in the process, whereas with a used machine, you never know what kinda maniac had it prior... It's one of those things I always have to fistfight myself over.....

It’s an absolute blast to go out on. Obviously I have only been out on it once but I can’t wait for all the adventures I will have on it! Yes I do still have the solo skiff and aluminum boat!

I've really got my eye on these! We have a boat and we find ourselves hardly taking it on trips because of the amount of work between hauling it and then cleanup and whatnot. We just don't take it unless we know we're going to be on it for more than a couple of hours. I haven't even been on our boat this season... so I'm trying to tell my husband we need some PWCs in the future for when we don't want to take the boat. I want him to get this model since he loves fishing and I'd probably go for a GTX, but man these things are cool! Would you say you might prefer it over a boat?
They are very fun without a doubt. I boat is nice to ride around in and pretty much anytime I get on the boat I primarily want to fish and I pack a bunch of gear and load cooler etc. I can say every time I get on my PWC I feel like a kid again and could just ride it around and explore for hours. I can’t say I prefer it over a boat because each craft has its own applications for what it’s good for and what’s fun to do on it. When I’m on the PWC I do bring less gear and is pretty dang easy for clean up. 2 people can easily ride around on these and just having one small craft vs 2 has its benefits. I say if you are more of a cruiser around a PWC is the way to go for ease of launching,fun and ease of clean up but if fishing is your main thing being on the same boat to fish together with gear on one vessel boat wins. The main thing is just get out on what you have now and enjoy the water together!!
Nice machine bud! I’ve been inshore fishing from my Yamaha for 2 yrs in Galveston. Not many inshore ski fishing guys but a ton of offshore guys. Let’s link up and I can share my experiences.
That would be awesome! I can’t wait to explore more of the open bay. Obviously I will for sure be going off shore but covering more open deeper bay areas has been a very strong interest of mine
Noticed the key wasn’t hooked to your vest or around your wrist… definitely wanna hook that to you so if you fall off your ski will shut off at least

What model of Move trailer did you get and what is the overall length with the Trophy on it? I'm trying to determine if it will fit in my garage.
It’s just the basic move trailer. Ski is 14ft and the tongue a couple ft more so no more than 18ft overall. It should fit in a standard garage

If it’s rough there will probably be salt spray to the rods that are back on the cooler but no where near as bad as how wet my gear got on the solo skiff.
Yes. Definitely buy reel covers. They will get soaked at slower speeds
Does it have a mood for trolling kind of like Minn kota has where it's like spot lock? This way you won't need your anchor and if you're over like a reef or something you won't drift either
It had a trolling mode but that is more for trolling lures offshore fishing it just sets the motor at a rpm to obtain a speed and goes which ever way the bars are pointing and no gps or spot lock features are involved
Man, I wish Texas would allow you to fish with it early morning and at night..
I prefer to be fishing super early before sunup and after dark (escpecially in the summer when its 111°)
Yah I hope since there are certain pwc’s made for fishing now that eventually we will get a rule change or an exception if you are using it to fish

You can for sure do more things on a boat. Run at night. More room for gear/ passengers. Easily mount trolling motor. But the fun you can have and being able to run offshore on a jet ski is pretty hard to beat. I’ve actually gone back to just kayak fishing for simplicity and the feel you get by being close to the water

Yes you can and I will put one on eventually. Well I have been working a lot and have a child now so time out on the water has gone down and so I just enjoyed being out instead of recording my trips but will be picking up again for sure

The more I look at these the less I see about them that screams fishing. Thinking I will buy a lesser model and modify it myself with better components that come factory on all these "fishing" models.
How did you get yours so soon?? I put a down payment on a Sea Doo Fish Pro Trophy in June of last yr.. was last told it will be at the dealer in April..
I guess it just depends on your dealers volume for how many seadoo sends them… I went through mancuso powersports in Houston. They have multiple locations throughout the city
