Wow, the amount of money it takes to feed a family is just mind blowing.
It doesn't have to, depends on what you buy and how you shop. I spend about halfish what she did, in this haul, for the entire month.
Actually, considering all the discounts, grill and three stores, Meghan got things that will last awhile; her total wasn't that bad! That's a month or more groceries for a family of seven!

Yes, I too was a Girl Scout from 2nd through 6th grades. Then, in college, I decided to become a Junior GirlScout Leader for two years...like the last two years of college wasn't enough for me, right? 😅
I love to freeze the GS Thin Mints! Keeps hubby & I from eating every one of them. So, they are so good frozen!!!

Girl scout memories, my mother helped me deliver over 100 boxes of cookies to the customers doors, back then alot more work . That day it was snowing like crazy...

I was a cadet scout. We went primitive camping in strpper pits once. Not fun. But we camped at Camp Koch on the Ohio River. very fun. SW Indiana weather very springlike in March. Sunny and 73 today.
Favorite GS cookie, Tagalongs. Never in GS but was a co-leader with the bestie when her daughter was a GS

I too was a Girl Scout, Brownies (they didn't have Daisy scouts when I was young) through Cadets; then when my daughter was small I was the leader and I did the cookie chair person thing. Being the cookie chair is dangerous!!! Having all those extra cookies sitting in your family room, just begging to be consumed .... yikes. My favorite is and has always been Thin Mints, pop them in the freezer and eat them frozen, so good. The second best is the Caramel Delights. I must say you have excellent taste. LOL

Yes, I was in Girl Scouts, many years ago, our cookies were 50 cents a box! Yes! I’m that old! Thin mints and the butter cookies! Hubby like the caramel with the coconut on them, are those called caramel-de-lites?
Those chicken apple sausages are so yummy.. i make granny smith apples, onion, garlic & mushrooms with them.. usually roasted baby potatoes.
Kielbasa.. fry potatoes, onions & garlic.. then add the kielbasa then add fresh green beans(close lid til the green beans get done)😊
Your eggs are most likely just fine. You can eat them like a month after the best by date

I was a girl scout for a number of years until our leader got mad at some of the girls and literally left us at the lodge we were camping at and we had to call our parents to come amd get us at 11 pm. Nonetheless I enjoyed selling cookies. We always set up a table at Bachmann's, a large flower shop near where I lived.

Hi Meghan, if you are buying salmon be sure to buy wild caught. Not farm raised. The farm raised doesn’t have the nutritional value because of what they feed them.
You have to dig dahlias up in fall they wont come back otherwise

Good morning! I liked the Meijer run, as we are surrounded by Meijer stores. The chicken apple sausages are good. Also, you were asking about tortillas. Not sold in bulk, but Meijer sells plant based tortillas by Mission that we like. Protein is, I think, 8 gm.
You probably already know this, but Costco has the same “cash back” as Sam’s, but it’s only disbursed once a year. Since I have the Costco credit card, I get a rewards check that has to be used in the store, & an additional check (usually much higher) that I can either cash out or use in the store. That one I usually cash out & it goes into savings.

Great haul! Remember when all my children were home. They are 47,40,39 next week an 34 for ever. So now just have Pa an 13 year old grandson who eats for 2 or 3. Growing . Already Christmas gifts are too short. So really enjoy refreshing hauls for real people! Blessings on your journey 💜🌷🌷

Yes I was a brownie and girl scout. Went on to be a leader of my daughters troop and placement leader for new girls. My favorite girl scout cookie is thin mint but I loved the shortbread cookies too. Gas here is running $2.99 to $3.39 depending on where you are at in surrounding area.
I do that with lemons and limes and I zest them all and freeze the zest as well.
Oh, the Thin Mints! I put mine in the freezer first. It keeps the chocolate from getting on your fingers while you eat the entire sleeve!❤❤❤

$2.85 a gallon for gas where I live. Girl Scout Cookies it's anything with coconut and or chocolate. We do now have an Aldi but I have not made it there yet. But their prices seem legit. That Hillshire farm sausage I can remember my local Rouse's Supermarket having it on sale a few years ago for $1.99. Oh how things have changed. We do not have a Meijer's. They must just be in the midwest. What is really amazing is my first job in high school everything was so much cheaper. Just that tomato sauce you said was 95 cents was 3 for a $1,00 lol.

Use the Barrilla gold box of pasta. It cooks up more like regular pasta but it has protein flours in it. It is good!

Great haul Megan u did very good u know the bargains. Apparently lemon squeeze in water is good for gout too I went to Costco on the weekend got some. Bargins avocado oil is good for u high burning oil compared to olive have a amazing day

With your onions chop them up and freeze them. Then put in dishes when needed. You won’t waste the onions by them going bad before you need them. I buy the small packages that are already frozen (because I’m lazy😂😂😂😂) so I don’t have to worry about chopping onions.
I’m old. Gas was $.26 a gallon when I was working my first job after business school. I was 19 😂😂😂😂 we would have a ball running around on the weekends for a couple bucks.
