Additional information for all wondering why he sells different items: You can only buy rare peaces you already have found or missed somehow in the game. It's the only way to get those rare itmes again. I assume the main interest is to get a new Hylia Shield.

That engagement part with Rhondson had me laughing! Man, this game feels so alive.. and this is just 1 out of many side quests.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite sidequests in this game so far. So much charm, and that Tarrey Town theme is super catchy.
The music in Tarrey Town and Hateno Village are instant classics. This game is a masterpiece.

Your Hylia Shield broke and you wonder how to get a new one? The secret shop shown in the video is the answer. You can buy there the shield and rare armor that you have found in the game.
master sword is suppose to regenerate on it's own, from what I heard.
Hey BeardBear, is the shield in the shop better? I thought it was 80 getting it legit (defense) but Grante gives it to you with 90 defense

DarkSharingan21 you can't repair any weapons in the game beside the trident gear, its best to get the master sword and link famous shield which is found in the Hyrule castle. To get the master sword you have to have 13 hearts to pull it from the ground and it's located in Lost Woods.

The thing I hate about Tarrey Town is, people who aren't named -'son' start moving in. Who the hell invited all these non-sons to the town I helped grow with only people named -'son' ? >:V

Tarrey town really is a cool in that it features all the different races of Hyrule in one place. (not counting the Koroks, but only Link can see them anyways)

The quest is so damn awesome too (except for the wood gathering one). The town started off empty, and the music also feels that way too. However, as you progress through it and recruit different races, the town becomes more lively and the music incorporates the themes for each race you recruited, therefore making the town so much lively.

ddarkreturns i played skyrim not knowing that there was fast travel and i loved it, then i found it out accidentally by hovering over a destination and it said fast travel and i was wtf then the game got boring when i found that out
Memes Make The Dream how did the game get boring? You could have just not used fast travel.
I did the whole sidequest with no fast travel. It works, and is pretty fun, but the game gets SUPER laggy whenever you go into a zone with a lot of items to load (like towns, ruins etc) after a while.
My favorite part about this is that Grante (the vendor for all the rare armor and the replacement Hylian Shield) is the son of Jerrin, Robbie's wife who lives in the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. It's always great to see such little pieces match up.

For the rubber suit and barbarian armor, the sets showed up in the shop when I had obtained just one piece out of three from shrine quests. I think the trigger is you now know how to complete the set in the real world but can choose to buy it instead.

I can confirm this. The first time I visited him, I only had the Climbing Bandana, the Rubber Helmet and the Barbarian Leg Wraps but the rest of the gear showed up. Oh and FYI this was after the 1.3 update.

Ok because someone is going to ask here is everything that you need 3,000 rupees and 140 bundles of wood. Also let me be clear, in order to buy something from the shop there are 3 requirements
1. Finish the From the Ground Up
2. Have obtained the exclusive items
3. Have lost said items through tricks such as selling them, throwing them out, or in the case of weapons and sheilds, have them break

Quick question. When you defeat the final boss, does the game do the traditional thing of showing you the ending, then bringing you back before you fought it or does Ganon stay defeated and you get to keep roaming?

Probaly a useless tip, but if you go to all the stables and check around where the cooking pot is(around that area) usually you can find wood bundles. By traveling to each stable it should help to get wood faster.

Woah! I just noticed that as the village gets bigger, more tunes are added to the music when you're in that place! The theme of Tarrey Town is a mix of the themes of where all the other residents are from!

17:44 LOOK AT DIS DUUUUUDE
You know you can get 2 Hylian shields without the duplication glitch through Grante.
You have to open the chest in hyrule castle with a full inventory to ‘see’ the shield which activates Grante selling it.
You can then leave it in the castle, buy it from Grante and return to the castle later for a second copy.
Or you could drop the shield in front of grante then buy it then pick up your shield that u dropped
I have to try this to see if it actually works!

This is far and away the biggest and most elaborate side-quest. The Thunder Helm one is pretty involved too. Its a small gripe of mine that many of the side quests only result in rupees and not something a bit more interesting.

Pretty cool, all of those gears are obtained via shrines though as well. The Barbarian pieces are from the three maze shrines for example. Still haven't found the rubber helm or legs but found the top in a shrine chest.

personally I hope in future dlc they do this but on a larger scale. Maybe with Hateno village then you could also reclaim the valley and rebuild Hateno fort possibly even making a harbor for boats.

some copies (thankfully not mine) of the switch have had a malfuction in the core but not all were affected on release so if u haven't seen any pixels then i wouldn't worry hopefully

What is the fastest way to get wood?
Kevin Triforce unfortunately, wasting all your weapons in trees
Take an axe and go to a forest with a lot of trees, or you can use your bombs, preferably bombs+, as they recharge faster, just bomb trees and bomb them again when they fall down, you'll get wood in no time
Kevin Triforce actually, if you dont want to waste weapons, I started using bombs. you can cut down two trees at once.
Rito Stables already has an established wood cutting operation, go there & chop up the stacked logs at the back of the stable with the axe nearby, then go ham on the trees nearby. They'll start respawning before you can finish cutting them down.
IN this game? Go look at the gerudo.
So you can dress Link completly in rubber? Well some fetishes are weird, but whatever floats your boat!

You have to pay 3000 no matter what, the game doesn't let you pay 50 000

In real game play this would take hours for all the wood gathering.

Carpenter Hudson and his company insist his kids are named ending in "- son" and the carpenters from OoT all have Japanese names ending in "- ro" ( 郎 ) which means "- son" in Japanese. They are Ichiro, Jiro, Sabooro, and Shiro.
Hudson is their ancestor. Also notice that after the wedding, you can hear the foreman's call from Oot.

More info: If you find the labyrinths and getting the Barbarian armour (or any armor really) super hard and you're not up to it, just get 1 piece of the armour. Then go to the guy in Tarry Town and you can buy the full set. This includes Royal Guard Armour, Climbing, Rubber, Barbarian, and pretty much everything!

Right. You can meet him in other places (Gerudo Desert), but he only starts selling rare items after you complete this sidequest.

The Broken Doll You need at least one piece of the set of armour (ex. Barbarian Helm) and he will sell the entire set
For the Hylian Shield, you need to get it and break it for him to sell it to you
