This probably took a long time because each way you tried too kill him he disappeared and then you had to go get him each time
Or he, you know, re-loaded the save file because when you re-load a save file were you were on a mount the mount doesn't disappear.
Thankfully it let me reload on the LotM. Waiting for Satori Mountain to start glowing after every attempt would've been painful!

And because you don't die, the dude comes to the natural conclusion, that he needs to try harder lmao

The Magical Blue Donkey issue is FAR more pressing 😂😂😂
Probably what happened is after a dwarfism amount of damage (in this case, infinite) it will disappear instantly, like how it didn't run after the bomb arrow and vanished instead. So yes, but actually no.
He actually does run from bomb arrows, it's just hard to see with the explosions. The infinite damage is definitely has something to do with vanishing instantly.
@@ThornyFox Have you tried hitting it with an ancient battle axe with damage up x2? It might have a certain amount of health that just regents fast, but if you do enough damage instantly, it disappears/dies?

When I first finished the One-hit Obliterator quest I thought I would have the entire thing indefinitely, when I got the cycle I said "Cool, where is my weapon" and when I realized I couldn't pick it up after the fight I went full on 2013 AVGN.
Do you really the One-hit Obliterator would be balanced for fights like Gannon?
@@LocalSinkPisser it wouldn't be balanced but it's a DLC quest that most people did after beating the entire game anyway so there wouldn't be much harm in letting ppl have fun with it imo.

Surprisingly he just runs away like with a normal weapon. I guess Ancient Arrows can't instakill everything (like Guardians and bosses) so that could explain it.
i tried it and it just erases him without him actually teleporting away (however he still respawns at satori mountain)
UA-cam recommended this for me, and I support this level of curiosity

Something I noticed is the one hit obliterater actually does one damage but it gives an infinite amount of critical hits
nope, it does one damage anywhere else except the great plateau. There, it does 1 damage + the health of the mob in question as damage so it's not infinite. It's just shaves the health of the monster + 1. The weapon is useless outside the great plateau though because it checks for the location it's at. You can't really define infinity in a computer so they had to make up a cleaver workaround.

The way you told this is the real art of this video. When I saw the title, I somehow just thought, now you're going to show me what happened in the end, how or not you kill the lord with that thing, but you made a really interesting story out of it. A little crazy, but fascinating and entertaining.

Coding wise this makes sense. You probably did kill him, the game just deleted him outright because he has no death animation. Which is a reasonable failsafe. And of course he'd respawn.

no, the lord of the mount has the slate and map so he can teleport in battle
It all makes sense now :0
Programmatically:
There exists an Event to spawn creature with ID of the lord of the mountain, atop of the mountain in some nights.
And the object inherits the attributes of the Creature class so they have an HP and can die. Probably the same class as horses have~ which ist a more specific creature-type. This way you dont need to reprogram the riding abilities.
The obliterator will obviously deals dynamic damage with each hit that equals creature.maxHealth attribute. So it can actually kill everything with one-hit even ganon.
So ofcourse the Lord of the mountain can die (it just has an absurd high HP amount which other happens cant onehit and then it will always run away and disappear~).
But after the death, there is no information that it ever died and no rule or information to the game what permanently dying actually means.
The event still exists and it will spawn a new instance of the object called "Lord of the mountains" whenever the event triggers. And it does not matter what happened with it in the past.

i used to be obsessed with octo balloon aircrafts but i never thought to stasis it when balloons bop, should try this and see how far i get up
I have an idea: Try to give Mr. Lord to that guy who needs a horse in the entrance to gerudo
Another UA-camr called Mety333 did that once, it was funny. He actually has special dialogue for it, saying how it's not a "real horse" or something. Like who cares? It's still the BEST mount in the game! Just take it!
