    I got me one of these in the Signature package back in January. I freaking LOVE this car ... finally road tripped it out to Aspen in early October. Amazing road trip for my family and what a beautiful time to visit Aspen.

      Mazda's drive sportier than Bmw's. I've owned both a X5 and it's not even close. Really the cx-9 both gens drive like sport cars. No big 3rd row suv should move and handle that way but it does because it's a mazda. I'm pretty sure most of all of their lineup is fun to drive. I'm also convinced that if they were to design a big rig, they would make that fun to drive

      The bmw felt like a tank in comparison. But sound insulation was perfect. Sound insulation on the 1st gen cx-9 wasn't great but it's alot better in the 2nd gen

    If you grew up as a kid riding in suburbans and Tahoe's, then came of age in sports sedans this is the suv for you. We love our 2019. The slight bit of reduced cargo space is a welcomed tradeoff for a vehicle that is fun and comfortable to drive. As far as the third row seats go, no adult with any amount of pride should be riding in a third row seat unless its in a shuttle van to the airport. And the highlander we test drove before buying our Mazda almost handled like a shuttle van.😳😁

    This car need only 2 significant improvements. 1: Improve reverse camera and 360 view camera quality. 2: Give us panoramic sunroof. That's it, that's all this car need to improve and it will be perfect. Will be the best selling 3 row SUV.

    I was going to get rx 350 but I looked into fuelly and don't like mpg of rx. . Cx9 mazda a little better mpg and also cheaper and also reliable from what I have read. What is the difference between 2018,19 and 2021 cx9? Looking to buy used one. Will this suv be too big for 2 adults and a 90lbs dog? Dont need the 3rd row, so I feel we will be paying for 3rd row when we don't need it... drove the cx5 but did not like it much, too small in my opinion. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank u.
    Also looking at venza. We are looking for an suv pretty much.

    The CX-9 competes with the pilot but has less cargo capacity than a Honda CR-V, CX-9 ( 2nd up 37.1 cubic feet, 2nd row down 71.0 cubic feet, a Honda CR-V ( 2nd row up 39.3 cubic feet, 2nd row down 75.1 cubic feet 😅 this is weird because the CX-9 is a larger car than the pilot but it doesn’t look like it does😅😅

    they should have at least v6 option. that’s a deal breaker for me. Interior very nice. Just don’t like the new trend of the infotainment screen look like an iPad stuck in the dashboard. the newest mercs and Lexus sedans have done a very good job making it look integrated though.

    • @vnp4110
      @vnp4110 5 років тому +2

      meatwad74, lot of car makers are moving away from v6 because it’s thirsty and not a great engine for city driving. On the other hand turbos are fuel efficient and quick in traffic. I agree they lack highway muscle but that’s a trade off which I think is not a huge one.

    • @jonbooth4416
      @jonbooth4416 5 років тому +1

      I have a V6 in a top of the line Kia Sorento SXL, 290 hp and only 260 lb ft torque. What people don't understand is that 290hp is at 6,000 rpm. Nobody drives around at 6000 rpm. This CX9 has 310 lb ft of torque at 1900 rpm, where you need it. Torque moves mass, not HP. We are dumping the Kia and getting a CX9.

    • @bobreno4042
      @bobreno4042 3 роки тому +1

    Motor Trend would say this would be stuck in with that AWD system. Their longterm test was only good in sport mode as the rear wheels would respond fast enough.

      Travis Anderson Mazda had a V6 in all prior CX9s. They opted for a turbo4 which gave better economy than their 3.7 V6. However the torque curve is way better than the V6 competition
