Yeah... i previously thought that his legacy as a wrestler would make it hard to ever really NOT think of his work as a performer anytime I think of him. Now it's impossible not to instantly think of him as the booker and executive the moment his name comes up.... and his real name feels just as natural as Triple H.
Some of the stuff that's been attributed to HHH aren't his decisions. The Crown Jewel belt is a push by investors to oblige the Saudi's, the two hour Raw is just a function of TV contracts ending creating an awkward gap between the next deal starting up. Someone even said "Speed helping smaller names", that's a positive, but still not really attributed to HHH, he's given the show, and therefore has to put people on it and doesn't want many of the big names like Bianca/Jade to take a loss there.
@J_Tevo. 2 hours is better. Also what about the Tag division?, what about the Women’s division?, both are piss poor right now. Hunter sucks in creative
@@NuMetalfan1996I wouldn't say suck but proves no booker is perfect. As someone who watches most wrestling all bookers have positives and negatives.Like Heyman in ECW and Smackdown 6 era the guys where booked awesomely but the woman where not.
I'm good with all the factions. It makes sense. Besides the fact that it gets guys on TV who normally wouldn't, people tend to run in cliques than not. If you're in a situation where you are fighting someone every day/week, you're gonna want back-up, people to pick you up when you're down and fight those battles for you/with you. So I'm ok with that. I loved Gang Warfare back in the Attitude days and I'm glad that factions have made a comeback.
Slight disagree. They fell off when they booked them weak. Had they booked them strong, the rivalry would be great and Raquel joining would've been a bigger deal.
Judgement day fell off when Edge beat them by himself convincingly and been on a bigger downfall since Rhea and Damian left.More suprisingly has been Balor's booking he is supposesly one of Triple h guy's but his booking says otherwise
I saw the word "repetitive" in the Strengths & Weaknesses stuff, and while no, that person is wrong, I do find it funny how each brand will have checked off "special guest referee" this year. Raw had Rollins refereeing McIntyre VS Punk, SmackDown is about to have LA Knight refereeing Andrade VS Melo Game 7, and NXT had TWO. Trick refereed for Ethan VS Hendry and then Punk did it for Trick VS Ethan.
WWE is absolutely missing some lower division titles m even without having a belt. It just feels like their are too many hot stars not getting recognition.
Agreed Steve, I pick up physical media whenever I can. I was actually called out by a bozo over on Cornette's podcast months ago, about me being a hoarder and destroying the planet by buying physical media.. DUDE, I am keeping stuff OUT of landfills, WTH bro?!
I was hoping Roman losing the belt meant smack down wouldn’t be the bloodline show anymore, but it got objectively worse. They brought in 3 more dudes and now it’s Bloodline Hollywood vs. Bloodline Wolfpac😔
My hopes for 2025. That the New BCC story ends well and not in some convoluted mess. Not technically 2025 as it wraps up at the very end of this year, but Jay White wins the C2. And that Adam Cole and Kenny Omega can have a not cursed year.
For better or for worse, Triple H is extremely loyal to HIS (keyword) guys/girls. If he likes you, he will give you chance after chance to get over. While it’s great to see a supportive boss, you do have to eventually question why certain talent get so many more chances than other The best example of this is Karrion Kross. With all due respect to the man, this is like the 4th repackaging he’s had to get over with the crowd and he’s STILL not getting a reaction Compare this to a guy like Bobby Lashley. Regardless of his skill/past, Lashley was not a Triple H guy and he disappeared from TV pretty much overnight
Being a booker is like being a writer for a movie. You are working with characters and storylines, Bobby has no character, and he completely lacked any good storyline potential. Meanwhile, Kross was good until he kept losing, now he's being used to build up storylines with guys like Xavier Woods, The Miz, etc. he fits in his role. Bobby had no role. Now when it comes to Austin Theory? That shit is CRIMINAL. Dude went from future star to comedy segments. Even Orton said he thinks Theory is a main event caliber guy.
9:22 the repetition hit true for me, i stopped watching Raw everyweek in the lead up to last years survival series when it felt like they had 1 episode scripted to build the story for the next PLE, and effectively repeat that same 1 episode every week until that PLE.
Women’s war games might be Team Rhea w/ Jade, Bianca, Naomi, and Bayley vs Team Liv W/ Raquel, Nia, Tiffany, and maybe Chelsea or Piper. While Liv and Nia are going into a feud for Crown Jewel I can see them doing a finish in War Games where the downfall of team Liv is not being able to co-exist with Tiffy or Liv forfeiting for their team.
One thing Triple H does wrong is havin too many pay per views just like AEW perhaps but other than that The Game is been a very good CEO ever since taking Vince’s place
My main issue with the long term storytelling is that combined with the 4-5 match card PLEs is that most of the stuff you don't even know it's happening. Another big Trips weakness is he sucks at press conferences which is a positive in that it's good he is not just give all softballs but also it sucks he never actually likes to be challenged which is similar to vince. Final points this ties specifically to long storyline but long title reigns has been my biggest gripe with his booking going back to NXT if everyone's a forever champ no one is. It loses its specialness. Like Gunther becoming longest IC champ was awesome but it happening simultaneously bugged. 75% of title reigns should be 3-6 months. Also WWE need a lower midcard mens belt as well as womens midcard.
Not being Vince isn't necessarily a strength. Trips devalues a lot of great talent by feeding them to other talent. Look at how HHH had Rhea beat up grown ass men making them all look weak in the process. Like Dominik running from Rhea but stepping up to Gunther? That shit makes no sense. Vince would never make this mistake.

HHH is better than Vince...he is NOT a lot better than Vince. His failures should be obvious here...what are the compelling stories and character in all 3 tag divisions and both SD and Raw women's divisions? This makes up the majority of your roster and the answer is Liv and Rhea...maybe Nia and Tiffy. That's about it. No one else has been built up. Its just matches and we're expected to care. Otis was molten in his feud with Gable not long ago...but I guess Otis wasn't part of the plan because HHH has utterly buried him. The fans don't get behind people like that too often so that was a huge wasted opportunity...at least so far he's taking advantage of Bronson Reed. More than anything else...the test for how good HHH is doing is very simple. Watch Raw and SD live and never look at your phone or get distracted by another third party thing. Is this show compelling to you for its entire run time? Obviously not...but what percentage of it was compelling? For me the average Raw is maybe pushing 50% and the average SD maybe 20%. That doesn't fall on the talent...that's on HHH and his failures. The company is hot....but like the Austin era...its hot for a couple of things while the majority of the show isn't great or is downright bad.
@@justinfranklin4934 I understand that. HHH is better than Vince...but the end product isn't massively better. They've just been filler since Mania and many have been filler for much longer than that. Replace that match with Jeff Hardy's hilarious thick viscous piss and at least its memorable and funny.

Rhea as a whole is a channel changer for me, the onlyfans model goth chick stuff can only go so far, Trips lacks the ability to book the women in a believable way. Other than that, I'd say his handling of Austin Theory has been pretty terrible as well. At least now, the tag division is picking up.
