@@giziemcbarns DJJ was a HUGE reason Dallas won that series. He’s the perfect guy in terms of length and quickness, to guard SGA. Without him, that’s gonna have to be Klay or PJ which is horrible. Otherwise, one of them is getting benched in closing time for Marshall or Grimes. Not ideal.
U Some notes on this game as a okc fan. 1. Aaron Wiggins continues to be the most underrated player in the league 2. This defense is hell on earth for other teams. Just the mobility and tenacity of it from every position on the floor. Crazy 3. JDub did not have a good game and okc still blew out the nuggets…. That’s scary 4. Chet’s year 2 is gonna hit like crack in the 80’s from Miami. His shot is quicker ,he’s faster off the dribble and he’s stronger. 5. Although he didn’t make a ton, I’m glad to see sga shoot a lot more threes especially pull up ones. If he can add that it gives them even more advantages 6. This bench is fantastic. It gives the team so many different looks. Keep in mind this is without Ihart and jwill. 7. When Ihart returns his playmaking and rim protection will give this team a crazy weapon. Overall very good effort. The nuggets can’t shoot and that’s a problem because teams will just double joker all the time. Better hope this is a one off night.
Nugs fan not surprised. The Nuggets were hot garbage in the preseason with the crazy trip to Sheik Incorporated blowing up their prep. Only one game but the lack of over all competitive talent was obvious. The bench was a disaster. Even worse than the terrible benches they've had for years including their chip run. Westbrook and Strawther were laughably bad. The starters looked oddly disinterested. Jokic did his passive completely overboard 'get everybody involved' thing which makes Nuggets fans crazy. A positive note. Christian Braun looked ready with a positive plus minus. This team doesn't deserve the #2 ranking Jason gave them.
Yeah I respect your realism. I’m not a Denver fan but don’t hate for no reason. I can’t understand how he has them #2 they weren’t as good last year, they got worse, and they aren’t coming off a finals or WCF run so that cant be a reason to place them high. I really don’t understand it maybe if you’re superrrr optimistic about Jamal Murray getting back to form, Westbrook, and Strawther but even then idk.
mpj is looking pretty rough too, the team already has a lack of 3pt shooters, and if mpj isnt hitting, they dont really have a chance against alot of teams
Denver. Title year: awesome starting five, 2-3 pieces from the bench making the difference 15-20 min a game, even in the playoffs. Last year: still awesome starting five, but Murray out of shape and 0 bench contribution. This year: good starting five, no bench.

Jamal didn’t play good tonight but gotta remember OKC have 3 elite all defense perimeter defenders and 3+ above average perimeter defenders.
