Man, I usually don’t care about fake stories as long as it’s written well. But this crap? 😂 no way would anyone forget about a $50,000 check especially someone who is in an abusive home.
Not true. This young man was basically traumatized by his family his entire life and then mom's "cousin" shows up and adds more. Poor kid. Overloaded him mentally, so yeah, he forgot about the check. Glad he has people that actually care about him in his life now.
Ohhh honey I am sorry so so sorry 😢 you get a relationship with your real mother and she can decide what to do about your sister…. I’m only about halfway through this at this point, but the bottom line is I don’t know what’s going on with the Aunt . I have no idea but the sister got her Hawaiian vacation she got her gift so the other one is insured keep that $50,000 go to the bank or 18 opened up your own account. Make sure that you are the only one on it and make sure that they put a special note on it. Nobody but you has access to it, make sure they know that you are a twin And that your sister might try to pull the stunt that they pick security precautions that are put in place so that nobody could touch that money
I bet the “aunt” is actually the parent and the twins parent is the grandparents. Get a dna test or go to one of those family tree sites to check. Also do not share that money. Sister will be supported by the parents but you will not and need to get a place to live as soon as possible. That will be a good egg to have so you can get a place to live near your college, pay for food, pay for gas if you have a car, and pay for college until you get a job
She’s the unwanted sister of the mom. I hope Op has a better life with that check. Sister saying all op had to do was share is BS cuz ALL she had to do was invite op to Hawaii then no one would’ve been home to answer the door. Edit I wrote that before I finished the story I guessed because twins usually run in a family.
Whe you graduate from high school most are close to 18 so if that is the case don't take them off. Open a new account and put the money their but before putting the money in the new one close the old one. That way the money is safe in the new account and the parents have no access. The go online and change all access to the online sign in to your account.
@@Keynotes08My kids had bank accounts as minors. At our bank they get free accounts until they’re 25. My oldest two wanted to have their accounts only in their names at 18 (it can be done at 17, but I made them wait), but my third just turned 18 and wants to leave it as is because he’s always borrowing $20 here and there and it’s easier for me to transfer money back and forth if I stay on. As far as OP, he can open a new account with his check regardless of whether his parents are on any accounts with him. I had to go to the bank with my oldest two to have my name taken off their accounts. He may not be able to get his parents off any accounts without their permission.
Why on earth would parents be on their kids accounts? Even my 2 year olds bank account is in her name only and i need to log in under her client detaild to access it. That is ridiculous and insane.
Your parents and sister are clear example that just because you share DNA it's still does not make you family. I'm sorry you had to grow up in such a toxic environment. Keep the money, either deposit it in an account that they don't have any access to it, or keep it some place that they cannot find it, maybe keep on you at all times, even if you take a shower. Since your going to college, you are not obligated to ever go back, they will just keep demanding that you give your sister the money or end up kicking you out to scare you into giving her the money. It's going to be lonely at first, but family is more that blood, meet people that genuinely care about you, get a degree that can help you get a career that pays well and be smart with your money. Hope everything works out for you.
Just leave the house. The "aunt" was just looking out for you. She just wanted to get you out of that situation. Your aunt and uncle playing favorites and sister are the AHs
Honestly, it was obvious that his Aunt he had never heard of is his biological mother, especially when she heard how her sister (the adoptive mother) had raised him and his twin sister. His bio mom knew she made a major mistake when she was 19 when her son told her how he was raised and treated. Sounds like bio mum is well off now and wants a relationship with her kids. She probably is feeling guilty and wants to support her kid why She did hesitate to write him that check. $50,000 ain't heaps, but that's a good head start in life.
My question is a how rich is her to be dropping 50 grand like it’s nothing and my second question who forgets about a check in your name for 50 grand so casually
She could be rich or she could of been saving for college funds for her kids, and was going to gift them when they graduated. When she found out what was happening she took the full amount for both kids and gave it to OP.
Cinderella story. Don't run, embrace your new life with your mother who obviously cares deeply for you. You've been on her mind and in her heart all along 😊 🌹
Plot twist: Turns out the mystery woman is actually his mom's clone and wants revenge for a lifetime of misery. The first of 33 steps in her devious plan is sowing dischord within the family. Step 2 involves buying a dozen live chickens. Step 13 involves forcing the UN to make Tacos the official food of Earth. Step 29 involves using the moon as collateral in a poker game with the gods.
I wonder if the sister would be any different being raised by her biological mother, it seems like the mom was very kind but came from an arrogant family, Aspecially ops adoptive mother/ real aunt. But maybe that attitude is just a persons nature.
And then theres the sister... would be interesting if OP spills the beans. I was thinking he could text something like this: "Hey (name of sis) I know we haven't been close but i just want to let you know... the "aunt" is our real mother" then hangs up/ ignores any messages afterwards.
this story is making me remember how hurt i continue to be by my parents favoring my brother. i have always had a firestorm of medical issues and adhd kicked my butt when i started college, but all through childhood, my parents would punish me and not my brother, because, as they’ve said, i was easier to punish since he’s always been super stubborn. one day, i saw their will. everything goes to him. even now as i’m training to be a speech therapist and he was denied from med school, he still takes priority from them, even subconsciously. but yeah… just ranty memories.
Cousins: I entered a chapel away from home and a man on hearing my voice greeted me with, “Good morning Brother Walker.” Then when he turned around he did a double take. It turned out the man he thought he was talking to was probably my 5th or 6th cousin. We looked alike sounded alike, were both educated as science teachers and had both retired from the military.
A spoiled and entitled little girl who peaked in high school, that is what the OP's "parents" turned the sister "Alex" into. The OP has no obligation to tell her anything, but when the day comes and the real mother (and the grandparents most likely) tell her the truth, there will be a huge blow up. Anyone who can write a $50,000 check has much more than that, and that means that the grandparents will really get to see how things went down. This is a _"Why Can't You Just Do It For Dan???"_ level story in the making.. because if "Alex" is in any way redeemable, she will turn on "their parents" the way "Dan" turned on his narcissistic gaslighting ex-wife.
