Whoa. I could hear you riding that thing all the way up here 👀👂. Nice mode comparison and puts to rest any rumors about this topic.

😂 I’ve been wanting to do this for a while as I never knew and always thought it would restrict the flow and kill power. Either it doesn’t, or my bike is down on power and it does, but since my bike is down on power I don’t realize it 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

I like my RS3 w/o the arrester, people look around thinking theres a big dirt bike coming and then they see my Monkey, I was able to order the endcap in red when ordering thru Yoshimura.

There's definitely a presence felt with the open Yosh, and if you're not trying to sneak around the neighborhood or riding long distances at wide open throttle, the Yosh is a strong sounding exhaust for sure!

I noticed a bit more torque when the spark arrestor is in, but no real difference in top end. Sound would be the top reason to put this in other than being compliant for national parks and local OHV parks.

I agree. I feel the backpressure provides a little more torque, and always thought it sacrificed a little top speed. Maybe it’s because of my mods, but to me there’s no reason to not have it unless you just want to be loud

That's great to know. I'm going to get one for my trip to Switzerland from Scotland!

Will the current Yoshi RS fit the new 2022 monkey? Great video BTW, thanks!

Can’t be certain, the engine design changed a little and the pipe might line up differently. I know Yoshimura was waiting for a 22’ to come to their shop for a test fit

I have the same exhaust with the man in the box intake and I reprogrammed the factory ECU with the dynojet programmer. I'm real curious too. I'm going to try the same test this weekend. I almost thought my seat of the pants feel was more torque without the insert and more top end with the insert. But it's so hard to tell on these little bikes. I thought I remember reading somewhere that yoshimura said the insert actually increases top speed.

It very well may make a difference on a stock bike, as the backpressure of the insert might provide a better combustion, as it's more close to the stock flow. I heard it from Yoshimura in person that the insert gave them a few more MPH's on their test bike, which I believe, but it could be my mods or gearing that cause me to hit this major wall no matter what pipe is on it

    Does it make it faster?

Do tell. With all the upgrades why do you still have stickers on your tank?

Resale value? I don’t know, I am always reluctant to remove stuff I can’t put back on as vehicles are always more valuable in true stock form, but I kinda blew that theory anyways when i changed the wheel color (even though I can get replacements)
