I had tried for months to get tickets to Def Leppard in Dallas from this tour. They were on stage the night I turned 17. Night of the show my mom handed me 2 floor seat tickets in an envelope and said Happy Birthday son , just come home tonight before 3am.
This song came out when I was in high school and my wrestling squad would always come out and work out before a meet to this song. We had it synchronized so that we were doing our running, pushups, stretches, and other exercises in full view of the other team while this song blared on the speakers. Many times they stood and stared at us so long it interrupted their warm-up and it quite frankly scared the hell out of them. I think this song probably got us 12-18 points in every meet that season. A bunch of us got tickets to see them when they came to town. They are amazing in concert! Thanks Def Leppard!! Great Reaction guys!

I've been to two or three dozen concerts in the 80's from all of the popular hair bands and this was by far the most entertaining of them all. I'll never forget this concert. The four-sided stage was so unique. So much fun.
The footage from the video is pretty historic... taken from the live concert video "In the round, in your face"... It captured Def Leppard at a peak during the 'Hysteria' tour between 1988 - '89, which was also the last tour featuring original guitarist Steve Clark - the band's rock star, who sadly died in 1991 after a long battle w/ alcohol and drug addiction. A lot of Def Leppard songs are prominent from the 80's, but their work in the 90's and beyond should also be check out... songs like 'Tonight'... 'Desert song'... 'Work it out'... 'Promises'... 'Heaven is' ... 'Slang'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Desert Song is amazing, mostly insturmental, but amazing nonetheless. I'd add 'All I want is everything' to the list as well, one of their best slow songs and should be much more well known.
I was at the concert in Atlanta where they shot the extra footage for this video. It was a school night and my friend’s aunt drove us 5 hours to get to the show. The concert was fire and we were so excited about the video footage, though we were so far back in the nosebleeds we would never get on camera. 😂
Def Leppard was initially driven by a great riff master guitarist and songwriter that sadly passed away after the album Hysteria. RIP STEVE CLARK!!! Like a great piece of jewelry, they lost a beautiful unique centerline, that you can replace, but it will never be the same...
Of the many concert I've seen back in the day, Def Leppard in the round was the best by far of any. The music was perfect and there wasn't even an opening act, just them and that round stage for 3 amazing hours. Absolutely incredible!
"Armageddon It" peaked @ #3 for 2 weeks (released mid-Nov. 1988/ probably peaked in early 1989); Def Leppard charted 19 singles in the Billboard Hot 100 between 1983 - 1996; 13 in the Top 40, 4 in the Top 10 featuring one #1 "Love Bites"-- the single released just before this one.
That was footage from the BEST concert(s) I ever attended! "In the Round In your Face" is the whole concert video (from the Hysteria tour), you'll love it!
Part of my 'Best' of Def Leppard CD, and I never pass this one when listening, while may pass on one or two others. Love It... the Chorus Does SOAR! :)
The Def Leppard Hysteria "In the Round" tour was an incredible show. Putting the stage in the center of the arena is a huge challenge logistically, but provides fans such a great, unique concert experience.
I have always loved this band! My dad has their Vault Greatest Hits Album, and he had that playing in our minivan CONTINUOUSLY for YEARS!!! As a result, I got to know all fifteen songs lyric for lyric, and this is number ten! Thank you for giving us all this great reaction!! If you want a different side of Def Leppard, I would react to Two Steps Behind... its acoustic version is SO relaxing!!
Def Leppard may not be the heaviest band, but they more than make up for it with their harmonies, production, and general tunefulness. Great song choice, guys!
I'll bet the studio version of this song will grow on you, but it needs to be said: this song was built for live shows. It is a huge staple of their live sets and the energy of the crowd brings the house down. Lately this song flies under the radar but it was a bigger hit than "Animal" when it came out - and you can see its feel-good power if you ever catch them live. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about how this riff started the last time I saw them.
Just saw them last Friday! If you get the chance to go see them take it! All together it was Joan Jett, Poison, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard closed. It was 8 hours! Had a blast!! Rick Allen smiled through the whole set and you could feel the drums in your chest! And I was in the nosebleed seats of a baseball stadium!
You should really check out a live performance by Def Leppard, "Bringing on the Heartbreak" from the "In the Round, in Your Face" convert video. Great take on one of their early hits. Songs from the first two records tended to be a bit harder than stuff from their later records. If you really want to rock out, check out "Wasted" from their first album. Song didn't get the full video treatment, so you either have to just listed to the song or check out a live version of it. Another rocker, "Let it Go" from their second album. I'd say both of these rock just a bit harder than anything on any of their following albums. (Although I could be forgetting some later track.)
I literally listened to my "Hysteria" tape so much at the time that I rubbed off the name of the songs on either side...lol...but I had already memorized all the songs! I would suggest a song from "Adrenalize" named "Tonight". They still really harmonize really good on that one!
I LOVE watching your reactions. You two have such great chemistry together. Your smiles and how you groove to the beat of the music you listen to is obviously genuine.
Def Leppard is one of my most favorite rock bands. They have the best sound!! Some others to check out are "Rocket", "Gods of War", "Love and Affection", "Let it Go", "Women", "White Lightning", "Stand Up", "Promises"
Fun fact: In the early 80's the arrival of punk and new wave put rock and roll to sleep. Billy Squire was the only new Rock you heard on the radio. Then, Def Leppard hit the scene and WOW, basically revived Rock! Fantastic band and catalog of music.
Yes, their stage presence Is awesome! Went to many of their concerts. Was at the base of the stairs on the balcony one time, and he sang straight up to me for a bit. Felt like a music video, lol. I was young and it was woooonderful!❤️
I saw this band 3 times in the very early 90s. They were absolutely awesome live, my friend actually met them after a show and said they were lovely guys. I was sooo jealous!!
I love your reactions! In an album filled with hit records, "Armageddon It" is the one I always go back to first. "Come on, Steve! Get It!" - Long live Mr. Clark!
Not sure if y’all know this but one of the reasons Def Leppard is considered a hell of a great band with great members is because when Steve Allen had his accident in 1984 and lost his left arm, the band stopped touring. Even on the heels of their smash album Pyromania they just stopped everything and waited for him to recover fully rather than replace him. Allen came back to relearn his drumming an AMAZING 3 months later. He now uses a special pedal set that was developed to allow him to use one foot to drum the left HAND parts. Flat out miraculous all by itself. He plays barefoot now basically out of necessity because of the adaptations.
Jay, if you want some rockin’ tunes from Def Leppard, you need to check out their first two albums. Rock Brigade, Let It Go, or my personal favorite Another Hit and Run!

Saw them twice in concert and OMG!!! We danced through the whole thing!
I love Def Leppard so much. This has always been one of my favorites of theirs.
Part of my 'Best' of Def Leppard CD, and I never pass this one when listening, while may pass on one or two others. Love It... the Chorus Does SOAR! :)
So stoked!!!! Gonna see them tomorrow night in Denver. Along with Motley Crue, Joan Jett & Poison. They will rock the house!!!!!
So cool! I wanted to take my kids but just couldn't afford the tickets. Have a great time!!
Amazing rock band! ❤
Steve Clark was pure genius on that guitar. Gone too soon. Sleep in eternal peace Steve.
That is the studio version being played over live cuts of the band in action.
@@keithroberts4952 indeed, my comment refers to the studio version. Hearing the live version in person is a whole different experience.
I can't tell you how much I love this song! Super great to hear them in concert a few years back in my town OKC!!
This is the most def Leppard song ever.
I literally listened to my "Hysteria" tape so much at the time that I rubbed off the name of the songs on either side...lol...but I had already memorized all the songs! I would suggest a song from "Adrenalize" named "Tonight". They still really harmonize really good on that one!
The Hysteria tour with Tesla opening was an amazing concert.
My first concert Was in jr high and still remember the whole thing
I LOVE watching your reactions. You two have such great chemistry together. Your smiles and how you groove to the beat of the music you listen to is obviously genuine.
This album was on constant repeat for my group of friends. This was one of our favorites. We were so saddened by Steve’s death
Def Leppard is one of my most favorite rock bands. They have the best sound!! Some others to check out are "Rocket", "Gods of War", "Love and Affection", "Let it Go", "Women", "White Lightning", "Stand Up", "Promises"
You guys need to listen to Foolin’ or BringingingbOn The Heartache next. You will be pleasantly surprised!
Best one armed drummer ever.
I love Def Leppard has been my favorite band since I was a teenager . Thanks for this one and the reaction.
Def Leppard was a top 5 bands in the mid-late 80s and early 90s. This song is one of their best.
Fun fact: In the early 80's the arrival of punk and new wave put rock and roll to sleep. Billy Squire was the only new Rock you heard on the radio. Then, Def Leppard hit the scene and WOW, basically revived Rock! Fantastic band and catalog of music.
Love and affection , Gods of war , Mirror Mirror , You got me runnin’ , Coming under fire , Fractured love . All great songs
Takes us back to our times ,thank you so much
Saw these as they were starting out. They played one night when our band had a night out. Our bassist said these boys will go far
I saw them in 1982 when I was 16. I've seen them several times since and still putting on a great show.
As so many have stated Def is a fire-cracker on stage. Many good suggestions. Do'em all. Thanks for this smile.
I love your reactions!
In an album filled with hit records, "Armageddon It" is the one I always go back to first. "Come on, Steve! Get It!" - Long live Mr. Clark!
I love love love this band but especially this song!!!
You cannot go wrong with Def Leppard , guys. 😃🎶🎼
I’m 70 and they put on the best concert.
Even tho I was more into New Wave on the 80s, Def Leppard was always my favorite Rock band!
Saw them live twice, this song always pops the crowd. Hysteria and Adrenalize tours.
