Furthermore, this is not likely the same road that the Houseman family were driving on when they were driving to Kellermans Resort.

Its not intended to represent the actual drive based on the movie, its intended to show folks what the real life drive to Mountain Lake Lodge looks like. It is the road the film crew and cast used to get up and down the mountain while filming the movie.
