    I also need to make one foe the better half too.Get yourself a sheet of paneling cut strips and glue them in to take up the extra room. Nice job.

    Awesome setup! Bet if you just slipped a slim board inside a couple of the dispenser areas those smaller cans would fit just fine, then if you want the space bigger you can just pull out that slim board.

    On your full length racks, how many normal (15 oz veggies) cans per row will it hold?
    I agree though, I think half racks with the kicker shelf would be better. Maybe half whole racks on one side and the other side half racks.

    Do you think adding a triangular piece in the bottom would help to kick the cans out when you pull the bottom one?

    • @hobie909
      @hobie909  5 років тому

      EH Nebraska yes, that’s basically what I went for. I used a piece of 1/4 round but I should have used a bigger piece. Just a triangle the right size would work too.

    Seems like a bit of plexiglass on the inside of the face of each bay might help with the flow. All you would have to is slip them in each bay. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

    • @hobie909
      @hobie909  5 років тому

      Livin The Dream I’m not sure about jars. Maybe end to end on a slide type shelf rather than straight up and down. You’d might have to scootch them down one at a time. It would be tricky.

      Livin The Dream right!? We do some canning too but we usually eat most of it within a year so not as much an issue on rotation. If we increase our canning we may have to look into something for that.

    you might could add a furring strip inside those that are smaller cans. Run it along the side on the front to hold them toward the back so won't get to the front. One on each side. 1/2 inch square dowel might work also.

    • @hobie909
      @hobie909  3 роки тому

      That’s a good idea. Someone suggested to use plexiglass to cover the front but I’d be worried it would not be user friendly if they got stuck. I like your idea.

      RHcamel negative. We haven’t had any problems with width OTHER than some of the soup cans are too small and they sit crooked. Easily fixed with a yard stick used as a shim.
