Bruce Lee punched the heavy bag 5000 times a day bare knuckle. Put some dots on it to work on aim and you have the ultimate thing for fight training other than sparring
@tranhoanghieu4576 "That means nothing" You speak as if your fighting prowess is superior as if you fight in an arena. I'm sick of this idea you must compete to be a good fighter. After all I could argue with this that Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson were actually bad fighters with bad form because they never competed in MMA and never had to deal with grappling and kicking
Just a friendly reminder to include shadow boxing with the bag, hitting the bag too much without it can cause bad habits like getting overextended and not retracting punches as well
I got a bob from a garage sale and it is stroll to this day one of my best purchases. Got my kick game up a lot and my boxing game but for sure a heavy bag is the move
They're both good. The BOB is great especially for training self defense and you can use it to better train punches because of the visible head and torso targets. The bag is great for punches, elbows, knees and kicks and overall workout.
They are not “better” for training. They’re both used for different aspects of training. Bob is way better for improving accuracy. They’re really not even comparable and if you’re serious about your craft you need both.
Very true when you're pro you just pay a sparring partner and for most people that are amateurs and trying to come up the century bob is too expensive and I can't fit it in my tiny apartment😂@@jessediaz3356
I whole heartedly disagree here. Heavy bag is good to work out. For a more realistic feel centry BoB is the way to go. From every thing to distance management to how to properly land a punch... you can hit the bag as hard as you want if you dont know how to properly land your fist on an actual person you will break your hand/wrist before you hurt anyone... century bob for real fighters.. heavy bag to work up a sweat
No, unless you're fighting stationary, the ability for the heavy bag to pendulum back and forth allows for footwork as well as the ability to hit it from the sides and back instead of just the front. I don't know about the distance thing because you can do the same with a heavy bag lol, but you can have your own opinions
I agree with the shot placement part but actually I think a heavy bag is better for training as it swings, and that simulates return fire. You can cut angles around it and still be effective, whereas the Bob has you standing right there as it just absorbs punches. Distance management feels more real on a bag because again it swings and you have to time it, against The Bob just standing there.
If you’re worried about breaking your hands, just punch the heavy bag without gloves to condition your hands. That’s the most common way fighters prevent that.
yes you are going to practice your liver shot it works great for strength stamina and endurance while bob is good for precision shots but their more research on heavy bags having a positive effect on the boxer training.
For me bob is better for training my accuracy in my punches and distance because he has a visible head and chin.
Definitely good for that, while the heavybag is more for power.
@@ACE-777.If you know what you are doing, heavy bag can do everything
@EyeseeUriP it helps because I’m aiming for a smaller surface rather than a big bag.

No disrespect to him but bruce lee didn't compete. He was an actor so that mean nothing

@chainsawchanselour5452 yea and ali and tyson weren't punching the heavy bag bare handed, neither is any competent mma fighter
Aiming in the same places when you could be potentially facing different sized fighters.. yeah you need to be sparring to learn about precision
@@tranhoanghieu4576he literally professionally competed he’s one of the first ever real actors that I as an actual fighter lmao what are you on about

Using the bob really helps in visualization when you dont have a sparring partner or just want a better understanding of weak spots
You can move to the left and right of bob, and it’s helpful against opponents who may turn their backs on you 🤷♂️

Bob is angry now😤😤😤😤😡😡😡😡
If you do get the bob, get the bob XL
Well I got a bob target from my friend who stopped martial arts for like a third of the price. Super worth it so I had to cop
Bob much better for combinations and accuracy
True, true...
Counter point, Bob is more fun.
I'm karate🥋 century bob
Bob is so satisfying though, also I think it's better for getting more accurate, it has a liver and a chin
I feel like it also depends on how much room you have in your home as well
Thank you bro going to buy the bag tonight since it’s Black Friday thank you 🐐

A heavy bag doesn’t have a body and head this guy is delusional af lol he probably can’t afford bob
I feel like bobs are only used for home punching workouts. I have never seen a bob at a boxing gym or seen a pro use one.
Very true when you're pro you just pay a sparring partner and for most people that are amateurs and trying to come up the century bob is too expensive and I can't fit it in my tiny apartment😂@@jessediaz3356
I've never understood BOB having any advantages except for training head kick accuracy
Muay Thai aims for knees to the ribs also . It seems like it could be useful for that.

Heavy bags make noise in your house. Hard to hit early in the morning without waking the street up. Other than that heavy bag is better.
Boat bouys can be alternative to Aqua Bags. Half the price and work just as well.
I love my heavy bag! It’s 200 lbs 6 feet tall. Love round house kicking the shit out of it 😍
Im thinking of getting a freestanding bag because i don't really have a place to put a heavy bag. Can i get any suggestions?
heavy bags can also help on conditioning
Bob human anatomy
I'll probably get a bob, I don't have any where to hang a bag at this point

My century bobs always broke on the throat
but bobs a good kisser
Are there any heavy bags you'd recommend for $150 or less?
Fairtex has a great one for 130
Title and ringside have some good wrecking ball bags for $150-200 and it easily became my favorite bag to work hooks and uppercuts on
Bob is an expensive gimmick
What if you haven't got anywhere to hang a bag? Better options?
