I think the reason Kayle didn’t get a legendary skin is because her voice lines and personality already fit within the Eclipse universe, since they are both beings who want to being a God. Sivir probably got it because her Shurimin treasure hunter personality is way too out of place compared to the rest of the characters.

Not quite the same vibe even thought the concepts are similar on paper. I think the biggest draw to the animal spirit concepts would actually be the fashion, so I hope they bring that style of street wear into the game eventually.
Sivir deserves a legendary skin... Just not a legendary Eclipse skin... Like, legendary Odyssey Sivir would be the best. A fitting skinline, lots of potential for jokes and organic character interactions. Screw you Riot.

I have so many problems with Eclipse Senna. Soooo many. The visual effects are fantastic but that's about it. They never do ANYTHING with her hair (heaven forbid she have ANYTHING but thick braids in ANY of her skins), she has no medieval knight armour, as you said she has a GUN, she has a facial visor for literally no reason whatsoever, she DID NOT need another prestige (especially one that looks not only like... that, but also looks like it's from a totally different universe), and she does not fit in even a little bit. Senna is such an awesome champion, and they nailed her and her aesthetics with True Damage and ESPECIALLY High Noon. Then they come out with Project and *this*? If they wanted a popular champion to round out the skinline, pick LITERALLY ANYONE who could feasibly wear armour. Most of the toplane roster. Half of the jungle roster. Half the support roster. Zed, Kayn, Gragas, Yone, Nautilus, and so many more would've fit better. Not to mention that Aatrox, big sword lunar man, is the counterpart to Kayle, big sword solar lady, and Senna, small thin with a gun, is supposed to be the counterpart to Sejuani, build-like-a-brick-sh!thouse-riding-an-owl-bear. It makes the Lunar Eclipse line, which is now already outnumbered by the solar skins, even more lacklustre in comparison.
I would prefer Rell in High Noon universe, but she could be a fit for Sejuani in this skinline. We could use the theme of Sejuani being a old soldier who uses the old ways, meanwhile Rell would be the kid that has revolution on it's veins.
The fact that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is upset that Kayle didnt get the Legendary says alot about how thematically it would make sense, We (kayle mains) are still gonna buy the new skin regardless (just Kayle Main things) but it is very upsetting she didnt get the legendary. Am I the only one confused as to why the hell Diana didn’t get a Lunar Eclipse skin? Don’t get me wrong, Aatrox looks awesome and Senna exists, but why would they decide to give Leona, the sun-based champ a Solar Eclipse skin and leave Diana out of the Lunar Eclipse?
I think any game tie in skins should be a fair bit off from the game's initial release. Gives people time to play the game before anything potentially spoiler related is added in, like this GP skin.
Senna's base skin is still her best skin, she looks awesome, only high noon can contest, her true damage is meh, her true damage prestige is pretty good but still not my jam, eclipse is so out of place.
They are just putting her in random lines to make money. It would be cool if they made her new skins match all Lucian ones, so they could explore the thematic and make her in different styles and universes. We could say that True Damage Senna is the counterpart for soccer player Lucian (I don't remember the name of the skin), but I would go NUTS FOR A MOMMY SENNA SCREAMING FOR HER HUSBAND.

I main Kayle, I wanted Kayle to get the legendary for many reasons. 1: It would have been fitting since she is such a prominent character in this universe being the one who ate the Sun and founded the Eclipse Knights and ordered them to slay the Old Gods. 2: They could have brought back Morgana's VA to give Sun-Eater Kayle and Coven Morgana some juicy interactions. They could give us some closure or Kayle's side of the story on what really happened between her and the Sun god and why the Coven call her a betrayer. 3: They could put further emphasis on her eldritch/godly persona and they could make her feel more divine. She could have 5 forms. One for each Ascension and then one temporary form for after she uses her ult. Maybe she goes full Eldritch when in her ult. Also a new animation rig would be amazing on this skin. I'd still like them to keep the resting at bonfire emote though, 'cause Sun-Eater Kayle gives me a bunch of Soul of Cinder vibes. 4: Also, the Eclipse universe is by far my favourite sub-universe in League of Legends. I fell in love with it the moment Leona's skins came out. Kayle is just too fitting. Also, I just really wanna hear Lisa Lindsley talk in the old-timey dialect. A few more side thoughts: Because they didn't give Kayle the legendary, could they at least make her Level 16 form have the fiery visuals like Solar Eclipse Leona after she uses her ult or Sivir while she's in her ult. Also, Diana should have gotten the Eclipse skin instead of Senna. It would have been more fitting since there are all the interactions from the other legendary skins that talk about Diana and this complicated and mysterious relationship she has with Leona in the universe. Maybe she was Eclipse Knight turned Coven? I think she could have been Solar Eclipse, just to break the mold. And then they could have given Sivir a Lunar Eclipse skin instead.
Totally agree with you about everything but Diana is dead in the eclipse sub-universe. But like we can always have something like coven Diana as a risen undead eclipse warrior twisted by the eldritch gods and used by the coven as a weapon.

Sejuani's skin looks really good, but I'm really disappointed that she's thin as a noodle. It's not just about giving her muscles, it's about giving all female characters meat (and organs in some cases).

Idk, Pantheon isnt good enough for Aatrox. I would like Aatrox vs Mordekaiser legendary skins. Pantheon just doesnt match their chadness energy. And the thing is, Pantheons nemesis is Aatrox, but Pantheon isnt Aatrox's nemesis. Aatrox lore doesnt give a shit about Atreus, while Atreus lore is all around Aatrox and celestial gods. Sure, Atreus became a god, but he isnt more special than any other god for Aatrox. Aatrox needs a huge terror enemy, someone like Mordekaiser or another Darkin. Atreus is just that generic plot armor character (main character that beats evil, thats fking boring).

Gangplank is 975 quality in 1350 skin and every people get exited just because it's a lore skin. As person who wait like 4 years for his new skin I don't hate it though but just a little bit of disappointed.
These skins are all mid and best and just lazy or cash grabby at worst. Senna did not need to be in the skin line at all. She got shoved in because she’s a “popular” character and then gets ANOTHER prestige?! I personally feel it should’ve gone this way: - Legendary Sun eater Kayle (she is a big deal in the eclipse universe and could have some amazing voice lines with coven Morgana) - Prestige solar eclipse Sivir but no legendary (this way an under appreciated champ would get some love, but I don’t think she’s as essential to the eclipse lore as kayle is) - Replace Senna entirely (so many other champs would fit the universe better)
I'm still waiting for a Shyvana legendary, or some kind of "casual" clothing skinline that has Champs wearing casual clothing from their region or from modern fashion, or putting Champs in suits that normally wouldn't, like Rek'Sai or Ivern.
LOVE! Sun-eater Kayle but this should have been legendary especially since she's the one that gives the power to the other eclipse knights in the lore.
I'm pretty sure given the recent political climate and representation mattering in media the change to Sivir in recent skins was mostly intentional. I mean think about it, Shurima is pretty much entirely based off of Ancient Egypt, with several characters literally being portrayals of Egyptian Gods. Sivir is Shuriman and a descendent of Azir, so why would she be so... white? She looks more in line with Shurimans and their real life counterparts, North Africans/Egpytians/Arabs. So honestly, I'm not bothered by Sivir looking different now, but it would make a lot more sense if they just updated her base splash.
I agree that sivir's skin is lackluster but also feel that sivir was a bit overdue for one.She's one of the oldest adcs in the game and has been passed over while other marksmen have been getting multiple legendaries.I think I would've preferred Kayle getting the legendary skin though,it already looks better than what Sivir got. I think any game tie in skins should be a fair bit off from the game's initial release. Gives people time to play the game before anything potentially spoiler related is added in, like this GP skin.

Senna's base skin is still her best skin, she looks awesome, only high noon can contest, her true damage is meh, her true damage prestige is pretty good but still not my jam, eclipse is so out of place.

They are just putting her in random lines to make money. It would be cool if they made her new skins match all Lucian ones, so they could explore the thematic and make her in different styles and universes.
We could say that True Damage Senna is the counterpart for soccer player Lucian (I don't remember the name of the skin), but I would go NUTS FOR A MOMMY SENNA SCREAMING FOR HER HUSBAND.

It could've been good if instead of her recolored usual big ass gun Senna was using a big ass ballista, it would've changed the model but at least it would be thematical
I main Kayle, I wanted Kayle to get the legendary for many reasons.
1: It would have been fitting since she is such a prominent character in this universe being the one who ate the Sun and founded the Eclipse Knights and ordered them to slay the Old Gods.
2: They could have brought back Morgana's VA to give Sun-Eater Kayle and Coven Morgana some juicy interactions. They could give us some closure or Kayle's side of the story on what really happened between her and the Sun god and why the Coven call her a betrayer.
3: They could put further emphasis on her eldritch/godly persona and they could make her feel more divine. She could have 5 forms. One for each Ascension and then one temporary form for after she uses her ult. Maybe she goes full Eldritch when in her ult. Also a new animation rig would be amazing on this skin. I'd still like them to keep the resting at bonfire emote though, 'cause Sun-Eater Kayle gives me a bunch of Soul of Cinder vibes.
4: Also, the Eclipse universe is by far my favourite sub-universe in League of Legends. I fell in love with it the moment Leona's skins came out. Kayle is just too fitting. Also, I just really wanna hear Lisa Lindsley talk in the old-timey dialect.
A few more side thoughts: Because they didn't give Kayle the legendary, could they at least make her Level 16 form have the fiery visuals like Solar Eclipse Leona after she uses her ult or Sivir while she's in her ult. Also, Diana should have gotten the Eclipse skin instead of Senna. It would have been more fitting since there are all the interactions from the other legendary skins that talk about Diana and this complicated and mysterious relationship she has with Leona in the universe. Maybe she was Eclipse Knight turned Coven? I think she could have been Solar Eclipse, just to break the mold. And then they could have given Sivir a Lunar Eclipse skin instead.
Totally agree with you about everything but Diana is dead in the eclipse sub-universe. But like we can always have something like coven Diana as a risen undead eclipse warrior twisted by the eldritch gods and used by the coven as a weapon.

Sejuani's skin looks really good, but I'm really disappointed that she's thin as a noodle. It's not just about giving her muscles, it's about giving all female characters meat (and organs in some cases).

Idk, Pantheon isnt good enough for Aatrox. I would like Aatrox vs Mordekaiser legendary skins. Pantheon just doesnt match their chadness energy. And the thing is, Pantheons nemesis is Aatrox, but Pantheon isnt Aatrox's nemesis. Aatrox lore doesnt give a shit about Atreus, while Atreus lore is all around Aatrox and celestial gods. Sure, Atreus became a god, but he isnt more special than any other god for Aatrox. Aatrox needs a huge terror enemy, someone like Mordekaiser or another Darkin. Atreus is just that generic plot armor character (main character that beats evil, thats fking boring).

Idk if it’s a new design choice, I think Riot is going with since this is second time. But I think they are giving Sivir a thicker nose as like a Shuriman natural feature. However it’s coming off looking like Tailyah. I’m down for like Shurmian women having beautiful noses like that. But still need to have some differences in the face.

Gangplank is 975 quality in 1350 skin and every people get exited just because it's a lore skin. As person who wait like 4 years for his new skin I don't hate it though but just a little bit of disappointed.
These skins are all mid and best and just lazy or cash grabby at worst. Senna did not need to be in the skin line at all. She got shoved in because she’s a “popular” character and then gets ANOTHER prestige?! I personally feel it should’ve gone this way:
- Legendary Sun eater Kayle (she is a big deal in the eclipse universe and could have some amazing voice lines with coven Morgana)
- Prestige solar eclipse Sivir but no legendary (this way an under appreciated champ would get some love, but I don’t think she’s as essential to the eclipse lore as kayle is)
- Replace Senna entirely (so many other champs would fit the universe better)
I'm still waiting for a Shyvana legendary, or some kind of "casual" clothing skinline that has Champs wearing casual clothing from their region or from modern fashion, or putting Champs in suits that normally wouldn't, like Rek'Sai or Ivern.
Shyvana needs an Elementalist Lux style legendary based on the dragons.

I'm pretty sure given the recent political climate and representation mattering in media the change to Sivir in recent skins was mostly intentional. I mean think about it, Shurima is pretty much entirely based off of Ancient Egypt, with several characters literally being portrayals of Egyptian Gods. Sivir is Shuriman and a descendent of Azir, so why would she be so... white? She looks more in line with Shurimans and their real life counterparts, North Africans/Egpytians/Arabs. So honestly, I'm not bothered by Sivir looking different now, but it would make a lot more sense if they just updated her base splash.

I agree that sivir's skin is lackluster but also feel that sivir was a bit overdue for one.She's one of the oldest adcs in the game and has been passed over while other marksmen have been getting multiple legendaries.I think I would've preferred Kayle getting the legendary skin though,it already looks better than what Sivir got.
