@@lap_of_the_goddess Definitely a calssic. And the new series following the Half-Demon Princesses, Lord Sessomoru's daughters and Inuyash's daughter, is a very pleasant watch. Highly recommend if you aren't already watching it
1:36:56 As far as I know, a vengeful spirit (怨霊) doesn't need to be the spirit of someone who is dead (死霊), but can also be the spirit of someone who is living (生霊), like Lady Rokujo in Genji Monogatari. I don't know why we don't see these sort of spirits more often in Japanese horror stories. X)
@@isabelbelem9062 Well, depending on the story, a "living spirit" (生霊) can sometimes be consciously controlled by the living person from which that spirit comes from, but sometimes the living person is unconscious of his or her spirit's actions. If the "living spirit" is a "vengeful spirit" (怨霊), you can seek its forgiveness by confronting not only the spirit, but also by confronting the living person of that spirit. In some stories, a "living spirit" leaves the living person's body only when they are asleep, so in that case, you can know you won't encounter the "living spirit" when its living person is awake. When a living person with a "living spirit" dies or is killed, the "living spirit" often becomes a "dead spirit" (死霊), so if it was a "vengeful spirit", killing the living person won't save you from the vengeance of the spirit, it might only make it worse. Also, often but not always, "dead spirits" look dead and are easily recognizable as spirits by those who see them, while "living spirits" look alive and can be mistaken for a living person. There are stories of both "living spirits" and "dead spirits" being able to possess an other person's body. There are also stories of both "living spirits" and "dead spirits" being able to curse their victims to death. But sometimes spirits only appears in front of someone to talk to them, sometimes to help them, sometimes to ask them for help, sometimes to torment them, without possessing them or cursing them. In some stories, spirits can move objects, in other stories, they can't. ... I would like to give you sources and references, unfortunately, I don't have them at hand. I'm just writing from what I can remember of the Japanese ghost stories I've read/watched throughout my life. I hope it was interesting. x)
@@scribbles504 Is it the story about the evil hair spirit? If that's so, then it's a little different, since it's not the evil spirit of a person (living or dead), but the evil spirit of a person's hair. In Japanese traditional culture, every thing that exists has a spirit, and any of these spirits can turn evil. In the case of hair, it's a little questionable, since hair are supposed to be part on someone and not have its own independent spirit. But there are a lot of stories about evil hair spirit. I'm not sure why they became so popular, but I must admit, they are very creepy.
As soon as the jewel appeared i was like "INUYASHA?!" and then she fell in the well and i was like "she's about to revive some bone demon!!" Since then I've binged content and you've become one of my favorite youtubers/streamers, much love Gab💜 My go to demon/yokai would instantly be Hone-onna, meaning literally "bone woman", as she is a skeleton. Gab, you should go for a Kitsune tattoo! At this moment I'm writing my (Japanstudies, Leiden) University thesis about the kitsune. Although it's almost one of the cliche yokai to go for, it's such a special creature. The favor of Inari will be with you! 🥰 And you'll get fire for free, since there's the kitsunebi. Also, the first yokai I thought I heared was the Azukiarai being killed when she searched for the laundry basket xD It sounded like the azukiarai just before it was killed. I have to say, the Toriyama Sekien feeling is real in this game. All his famous yokai made the cut, as far as I know (especially the mokumokuren was fun to see) and the drawing style of the encyclopedia he made was the same the game notes.

I was honestly ready for some chill and wonder when something is going to happen/if we'll notice it but then the face dudes repeatedly dropped from the sky, and things just kept jammin'. Noises going all the time made them have less impact for me. I don't mean to just sound critical, though, so I hope this doesn't come off as annoying.
After watching CJU play this, I hoped you would play it too! It's such a cool game, and perfect for you.
8:13 lol cabins are also a part of "technology"
AHA! when I saw this on Steam I knew it was total 'Gab-Nip'
11:00 Don't you like skelies? How about the Gashadokuro
?
14:21 Fire, huh? There's the Wa nyūdō. Maybe a Kudagitsune, or "any" Kitsune really, surround by fire (Kitsunebi
).
1:26:34 That's another Tsukumogami.
As for the Tattoo suggestion, because you want to get the lady with the long neck why not get the Demon Pandomian cart and have her wrapped around it and stretching out. From there you could add more demons and yokia and have your own Pandemonium Night Parade of 1000 demons?
Always nice gameplays
✨ super epic 👑
