He is incredible. I just found out that He won grand slam 25 times !!( quote from Wikipedia ) I am thrilled that this year he is reaching his 26th after 5 years.
Man. I’m already tired just watching at how much athleticism these men have. They’re more in shape than I am. So amazed and proud of the work they’ve put in. Congrats to the champ and finalist.
Congratulations!!! I feel "Trust becomes force" "Believing is power" from his play. He is great Japanese!!! Congratulations!!!
How am I only discovering this now? This looks sick!!! The 2 bounces really makes this interesting. Unfortunate there's no one in the audience to cheer them on!
This is the first time I have seen wheelchair tennis and I have to say I was really impressed with it. Wonderful athleticism shown by both players. Really enjoyed watching it.
3:37 bruh that shot from hewett was major league level, 1st time watching this sport and i really enjoyed it, looks really awsome and on a high level of play too. how fast they position themselves, the angles they manage to hit some shots. .Respect
These guys are incredible, and it’s too bad that the champion gets that tiny little bowl. Compared to the other champions in singles who get huge trophies.
Just starting to play at 77. Played from 1975 until until 2021. Thought it would be a nobrainer never been so wrong in my life. The chair is in charge. RESPECT
Im in a wheelchair, for 31 of 34 years. (Car accident when I was 3). Complete upper body mobility, just can't walk. Im EXHAUSTED watching these guys and im somewhat fit lol.
I don’t know why but watching this is keeping me at the edge of my seat, like just when you think someone’s not gonna return the ball they get it in the last possible second!!
Watching this is so inspiring. If they can do this, who I am to complain about my life being to too tough. The human spirit is far more powerful than we know.
Really tough match for both.. What an ending to finish the Final, really breathtaking to see both contestant give their best until the end. Finally, mental strenght talks..
I was just reading a news article about wheelchair tennis, and I have to admit I was skeptical as to the level of play. But these guys are really outstanding. In particular, the way they maneuver around the court is truly impressive. Sadly, the stands appear empty for this finals match. The tournament organizers should make certain that doesn't happen again, even if it means giving out free tickets. These athletes deserve to play before a crowd.
Outside of these guys’ insane conditioning and strength it’s so interesting because it puts a whole new twist on tennis through the way they move. It makes shot placement and movement an even bigger part of the game because it’s harder to change your momentum, so movement becomes a lot more strategic. So so cool
I wouldn't say it's harder to change momentum, since they can spin and continue to use the same momentum, whereas someone standing cannot do that. So if anything it's easier for them to conserve momentum and use it by spinning early.
Honestly these guys deserve much more respect. The fact that they have to exert force to move the wheel chair and still maintain strength and accuracy in their serves and returns, that's tough!
Wow. These guys can play. I don’t know all the roles for these format but I can see they are allowed to let the ball bounce twice if they need to which is perfectly understandable.
Unbelievable upper body strength to hit some of these shots. Respect to these guys
Yes
just look at how hard they have push their wheels to move to each ball every point. crazy
The Japanese guy needs to shut TF up.
Most definitely
These guys have names
Something about this makes it feel more like it’s own sport and less like a disability. This is truly impressive, definitely the best at what they do
Yes, the athleticism looks doubly more impressive than normal tennis ..
Was thinking the same...Impressive indeed
Saw a clip on tv and had to see game play. Incredible tennis players! Most impressive!
I wish they make the wheelchair tennis trophy as cool as the other trophies. That looks like a metal bowl...
Keep in mind, the doubles trophies aren’t much to look at either.
@@elijahs.1429 Ah that's unfortunate too.
Exactly
Yeah bro
You are absolutely right, that looks nothing like a trophy.
It looks like 2 bounces allotted per side, interesting, makes sense completely. Wheelchair tennis actually is fun to watch!
Agreed, it should definitely get more attention
yes i can't believe i just discovered it. can normies play?
Sgt. Pepper Well that’s just some utter nonsense. If you want to believe in immortality feel free to do so but this ain’t the proof of it.
Sgt. Pepper I do admire your will to look for the positives tho and trying to create a new perspective
And you can even hit the ball into your own field

Spettacolare, ma soprattutto grandissimi ATLETI!!!👏👏👏👏
The power they get from a sitting position is outrageous and the mobility is remarkable. Really impressive.

As someone who's just now picking up tennis at 35, this is beyond inspirational. These guys are absolute BEASTS!
insane. they're playing most of these points with one bounce too. mad respect.
Mad respect. The fitness levels required for this is unimaginable.

Gracias por subir este vídeo!!! Y gracias a los chicos!! Felicidades por estar en la final!!!
This is beautiful. The engineering of the chair, their athletes technique, and their athletic ability....
This is the greatest thing ive ever seen. My new favorite sport.
Incredible Kunieda!

Lucky to be them. whole day you play tennis for your country and show how powerful you are
Watching this is so inspiring. If they can do this, who I am to complain about my life being to too tough. The human spirit is far more powerful than we know.
It's truly unbelievable what these guys are able to do, really great stuff!
Really tough match for both.. What an ending to finish the Final, really breathtaking to see both contestant give their best until the end. Finally, mental strenght talks..
These guys are amazing... so so cool to se this
I prefer I think these kinds of matches because I get to see more beautiful one-handed
Backhands. 😍
uhhhh prefer it? interesting
This might be the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen
I don't know why, but this was more fun to watch than regular tennis.
This and doubles should be shown more on television
First time watching. Kudos to these guys and all other players💯

takes a lot of energy and precision to control a wheelchair while playing a hard sport like tennis!! Hats off!!
After watching this I realise what passion and determination is.
I didn't know they had wheelchair men's singles in the US OPEN.
Amazing..!! These guys are actually fun to watch!
Every Slam has it for at least 10 years now.
Wow these guys are studs! Amazing to watch. Hats off!

What a great shot seeing him celebrate and super happy after this achievement in an empty stadium.

It is thrilling to see them chase the ball! I admit that this looked like a exciting match.
So much respect for those athletes! Hope the sport gets more attention!
Wow-great play with such intensity!

Easily one of the top 10 finishes in US Open history
This is BEYOND motivating.
This is some incredible display of strength, endurance and body control.
This is spectacular. I wish I could see more wheelchair tennis.
Their serves are faster than Zverev's...
No they're not
@@maximilianfrei2532 big bad

Nobody watching this wonderful game ❤ broke my heart 😢 .
Love how this highlights is longer than Thiem v Zverev highlights:)
I’d probably have trouble playing these guys despite the fact that I can walk. I respect the grind, the hustle and the ability. Really amazing
Jesus, I didn't know this was a thing until I saw a Jubelee video. These people are beasts! amazing
Freaking awesome players
Absolutely amazing skills!
