- Part 2.. Waking up on the inland shores of Newfoundland after three long nights of rain, the growling of our empty bellies pushes us all into the woods to find nourishment. This patch of woods is very unforgiving, having very little berries left on the shrubs and not much for wildlife. We focus our energy on hunting squirrels. I use my slingshot while Adam Riley and Tom Garstang use their recurve bows. We share our favorite ways to cook squirrl, boiled and roasted. Both having very differnet textures and taste. Come join us as we continue to test our skills in this survival challenge.

I'll take a wild guess, figure it was a bit early in the season for it. NL Caribou season doesn't open until September

No Fish out there ? Plenty of fresh water streams you're drinking out of,, has to be fish in it .?? You have line and plenty of bait, squirrel meat etc.
