I had absolutely no idea how to do this and I found your video to be perfect! You gave the information in a simple, easy to follow sequential manner that made it very easy to pause and follow along with you. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
This is great, thanks. I put the GIF I mader into a PowerPoint presentation and my colleagues now think I am some sort of creative genius. Your tutorials are my little secret!
Regarding the pronunciation of the word, "GIF": Steve Wilhite, who created the Graphics Interchange Format, or GIF, while working for Compuserve in 1987, said at the WEBBY Awards in April, 2013, that the correct pronunciation of the word is "JIF", like 'Giraffe'. When pronouncing "GIF", the G sounds like a J.
Thank you for the article. Before I knew how its inventor, Steve Wilhite, wanted GIF to be pronounced, I always pronounced it with a hard "G", like "giraffe". Out of respect to him, I will always pronounce it with a soft "G" because that's the way HE pronounced it.. Frankly, I don't care what grammar experts state...the inventor has the last word. As he said, "End of story".
Thank you. This works very well. The only thing that I missed here is that you have to actually click on the "create frame animation" button after you select it from the drop down. Otherwise, the "make frames from layers" option does not show up in the animation timeline panel menu.
Same here. Because we own older version. Maybe there is other way to finish this work? On the right bottom you see very small button of the Animation frame click and see "Convert to frame animation". Then on the upper part you see a drop down button here "Make frames from all layer". And then all 5 layers will jump over.
Fantastic video. Thank you. I came here after watching someone else's "tutorial" which consisted mostly of his babbling on and on and not really knowing what he was doing. Thank you for making such a clear and straightforward explanation.
This is FAB! I was doing a flickering hologram, which didn't quite work out, but I get the concept and I know a few tweeks will get it right. Love it, Marty! Another fantastic tutorial.
Thanks so much Marty as always. One suggestion I had though. Since animated GIF's support transparency I would save the images as PNG with transparent backgrounds.
Thank you thank you thank you. I wanted this tutorial so badly. I have worked with Animation programs and Firework but this will be a great addition to those in creating animation.
I'm definitely trying this to make an intro animation for my channel for my future brand make over. Thanks for the help and such a clear tutorial. Great stuff.
nice one.your method of explanation is excellent.please keep it up.good source of gaining knowledge.we will keep supporting you.please keep on posting such vidios. really helpful for us.
Thank you so much. There is so much information in here. You saved me a ton of time!!! excellent video. Please next time make your type smaller because I am missing some information because it gets in the way. TY!
Awesome video...THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing. Everything worked fine for my little animation until I tried to open the gif file. (I did save for web etc) Basically it opens in Preview and won't play, although it does show the stacked images. What am I doing wrong? What app should it be opening in? Sorry to hassle you, and thanks again. :-)
also since i still go to school my teacher was really Impressed an she gave me what we call Ps they are positives and they act like money so you can spend them on reward day because our principle has thousands of dollars left over from the school payment
This was amazing thank you. It is so helpful to zooming in the options you use so it’s clear what you are doing. But how can You remove the background so that there is only text and have it on customized background? I just saw one of your videos and looking forward to see more of your photoshop videos 🌻🌱

I understand you need glitter fills, where can you get these and how to do copy them to you photoshop? And while I asking how to do you copy free gifs to your computer? I haven't found anything yet. Thanks!
The intro music is from the Eurovision song contest!! I like this sound. ;-) WOW! Excellent Tutorial. I needed that, so much! Thank you Marty. You are the Best photoshop guy! I have one question though. Do you suggest any "Viewer" software to view the gif format? Because windows 7 doesn't support gif with "Photo gallery". And a second question, can we save it in a video format instead of a gif? Thank you very much! ;-)
omg FINALLY someone explained it point by point in a clear, simple, and concise way. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
