Alexander, David Knolls interviewed that officer on the Telegraph's Ukraine podcast yesterday. I was shocked to hear him admit that the Russians would advance to the Dneipr if Ukraine did not receive weapons. Part of the shock was due to the fact that this admission was made on such a hawkish, pro-Ukraine program.
Even if they do get the weapons and if they do then The Federation will have to set up a wide buffer zone beyond the river too.

Skeptical of such an agreement being reached. Iran is well aware that Iraq and Saddam Hussein reached a similar agreement with the US prior to attacking Kuwait...and that US said it would not intervene if Iraq did so (remember Ambassador April Glasby). Relations have degraded even worse since that time between US and Iran (and Iran is building links with China). So I see no way of anything remotely like agreement being reached by these two parties..and if they did..both sides MUST know that any agreement reached is likely to be a prelude to a betrayal. Love your channel, AM...even if I disagree with some of your assessment...you always provide great insights and information. Thanks!
I would never trust the Americans -- and you understand them quite well -- but U.S. launching a war with Iran at this time would be extremely risky for the Biden Administration, which is currently running on fumes. It could just spin wildly out of control at a time when U.S. economy is extremely vulnerable to recession and inflation -- despite all the BS from Yellen and Biden on Bidenomics. Strait of Hormuz is a choke point and oil could soar to astronomical prices.

Alexander, you miss one of the key points of destroying the power plants in the spring. The point is of course to reduce the electric power supply in Ukraine, but also pressure Ukraine with the clear understanding that the inevitable coming of winter of 2024 - 2025 will present real issues.
The destruction of the power plants also increases pressure from the potential destruction of the Dniper bridges which could occur at any time and would require drastic adjustments to Ukraine military strategy and military actions.
Ukraine citizens cannot even use their toilets because it takes power to run water pumps. Sewage treatment plants can no longer operate. Disease will spread rapidly because of this.
