If you want another stunning view of a city below a mountain, you gotta visit us in Cape Town. Table Mountain is one of the official natural wonders of the world. Gladly loan you the Troopy to do some exploring (assuming we’re not out😜). Oh my daughter says Megan saved time because presumably you cooked 2x two minute noodles which was finished in less than 4minutes 😜
I live in Hobart my whole life basically and absolutely love it. Glad you also recognise the diversity in being quiet but with so much to see and do. Cheers.
Since you guys love fudge and cheese, on the way back to Devonport, stop in at Ashgrove cheese factory and the house of Anvers chocolates. Both are on the Bass HWY, between Deloraine and Devonport. Deloraine is an interesting little town , very old style and just a little bit hippy. If its lunch time Froggys at the top of town , has the best pies, cakes , sangas and coffee.
Hey Jack and Megan, Glad to see you guys enjoying Tassie. I'm a fellow pop top Troopy owner, currently in the final stages of my own build up here in Launceston, also an overlander who just finished travelling 6 years from North to South America in a Sprinter, and will be taking my own Troopy to Africa. If you're interested in taking the adventures to a new continent, or need a place to do some work, or feel like a beer let me know. :)
Thanks so much for watching Rowan! Wow what an amazing feat! We have unfortunately finished up in Tassie now but if we ever return we would love to catch up and hear more about your travels!
Came across your videos about three months ago and am enjoying them very much because you are bringing back some memories of some of our trips. Enjoy the balance of your stay in Tassie ( i think from memory you stated that you are here for four weeks only, not long enough guys) both have an enjoyable and happy Christmas and a great 2023.
Great video guys when you think about it it was only 2 minutes per person on the noodles Merry Christmas and a happy new year's to both of you maybe next year will be better for the car keys all the best Ron
200 dollar keyless entry/central locking kit and you can easily install it yourself. First thing I did to my Troopy. You’ll never lock your keys in again
You guys are stars , this year coming to a close now and I thank you both for all the amazing places and footage you have shared with us , you are ambassadors for Australian tourism , you really are . I wish you Jack & Megan the very best of Christmases , may all your wishes come true . All the best guys , MC & HNY , stay safe always and have fun 🙂
So stoked you went to Cascade Brewery such a beautiful building. Did you do the tour? Little fact about the bridge too, they spelt the name wrong on it when they built it. The stonemason who wrote the name on the bridge was a convict as well
Love that tiny house. Also love how much you are enjoying Tasmania. We will be there in January for our share of Tasmanian hospitality and history. Merry Christmas to you both.
Hi guys, another terrific video showing your boundless enthusiasm for Life , i always wondered what the Salamanca market would be like , well worth visiting by the looks of it. Can't wait for the next vlog. Enjoy ! Smokey
hide a magnetic key holder on the out side of your vehicle ,or fit a universal central locking kit to the vehicle that way you lock the vehicle with the remote in your hand
Seasons Greetings, thanks for all the great videos this year it's been a real journey for you two in do many ways and also a wonderful inspiration for the rest of us. Fun fact, I used to live just outside Richmond back in the late 90's and loved every minute of it.
Merry Christmas! Thanks so much for joining us on our adventure! Ohh that would have been amazing! I really wish we had allowed more time to actually stay in Richmond, it was such a beautiful little town.
hello guys thankyou so much for all your awesome videos this year i have loved every one of them and would like to wish you a very merry xmas and a happy and safe new year take care
Terrific vid folks, HUGE Thanks for sharing your trip to Tasmania. It is a Beautiful State and I loved my short time there. By the way Jack...2 minute noodles only refers to the boiling time for the noodles. Overall prep time for the whole meal is about 5 minutes (can't believe that tested your patience)😉. Keep up the great work you two👍
Thanks for watching! So happy to hear you enjoyed this one 🥰 Yes good point! Haha I couldn't believe it either! That would win awards for impatience surely 😂😂
Not sure what part I am so jealous of Hobart, the Tiny house, or your travels...wait I know it's those bloody jam donuts...so delicious looking ...extremely envious of those. If I were a highway robber I'd steal those donuts keep everything else...LOL. Safe travels!
@@itsJackandMegan hi jack and Megan how are you doing today guys are you still coming down to Ballarat Victoria I will meet you around in Ballarat town
We are enjoying watching you wizz around Tassie. Try and slow down and really get to know the place. We have been there 3 times. Our last visit was for 3 weeks and then we wanted to have 3 more weeks, hence why you guys are wizzing around. By the way, you realise that “tiny house” is just new speak for a cabin, which have been available in van parks for probably 50 years plus. The only thing new about the tiny house is the marketing label.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU JACK AND MEGAN FROM ME AND MY FIANCÉE HOPE YOU ARE WELL AND THAT YOU HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS 🎄 AND HAPPY NEW YEAR DAY HOPE THE NEW YEAR BRINGS YOU GUYS 😊
had to laugh with the locked keys in the car mate.... you need to get a spare for Megan to carry, or get one of those magnetic key boxes that stick to the chassis or somewhere and have the spare in it...
Glad you loved Hobart, its a quaint city but they want to put high rise buildings everywhere but the majority of us do want them here. Where was the tiny accommodation situated please? it looked so peaceful and beautifully presented.
I'm not one for living in a city, but if I were to choose what city to live in, it'd definitely be Hobart. It's just such a nice and comfy city if that's a way of describing it, not hectic and overcrowded etc. PS, you missed out on buying my mothers hand-knited alpaca beanies at the market!!
😂😂😂 Rookie mistake - as an old skool surfer we used to screw a spare key somewhere under the vehicle or in the engine bay in a VW Kombi and beetles and then coat in black plasticine - thought was it was easy to get someone to lend you a screwdriver. Harder with key fobs these day but the troopie is old skool key! Question: Are you guys on a schedule ? I thought you would just play it by ear… if you like somewhere just stay longer. Megan - use real pasta - throw those plastic synthetic 2 minute things away!! Not healthy!! Eating cardboard would be more nutritious 🥹
Yeah we were cramming everything into our Tassie stay as we had a house sit booked in! Has been an interesting learning curve trying to travel on a schedule haha Yesss you are so right! We hardly ever buy them and felt so yuck after eating it- never again 😂😂
Disappointed that you can come to the best city in Australia snd spend such little time……plus you missed my tiny home 😂 Please stop yelling everyone how great Tassie is, we don’t want any more mainlanders moving down 😂
Where is the BEST place to retire in Tas for non-adventuous "older" people that wish to be close to infrastructure/amenities. And awayyyfrom creepy crawlies? Love your work guys. Can I adapot you both? Xx
Definitely Hobart you will love it it’s very laid back and just stunning!! beautiful buildings surrounded by amazing mountains fresh air and great food!
its not a big deal locking the keys in the car if theres a way to get in lol if you couldnt get in that'd be tragic, having to smash a window my fiance and I show each other the keys when we leave the house/car 4 eyes are better than 2.
Merry Xmas guys, thanks for all the joy you bring us every week. Keep it coming 🙂
Wow thank you so much Mark!! Merry Christmas to you to and happy new year 🙏🎅👍😊🎄

The Brewery..... you didn't go through to the garden ?? It is a fantastic secret garden.
Merry Christmas from cold (-25 Celsius this morning with a wind chill of -39 Celsius) and snowy Colorado USA 🥶
Woahhhh we were freezing our butts off in -2!! The snow would be amazing though! Merry Christmas to you!
Glad you loved Hobart, its a quaint city but they want to put high rise buildings everywhere but the majority of us do want them here. Where was the tiny accommodation situated please? it looked so peaceful and beautifully presented.
Yes we agree high rises would ruin the vibe of the city! It was Sorell, can be booked through the Tiny Away website 😊
I dont have to worry about locking the keys in the car, my wife carries the spare in her bag, saved me a number of times.
you're giving me lots to visit when i get there next month ... mm mmm donuts
Yesss definitely give the donuts a go 🤤🤤🤤

That's why locals don't go to salamanca we leave it for the cashed up tourists.
Once in a while it’s ok to spend money on something like this. You should try it some time we now have memories we will never forget.
