Yes it was, just read about it. I just copied and paste; The bumblebee is believed to have been illegally smuggled into Tasmania from New Zealand in the early 1990s. They were first observed in 1992 in Hobart and spread rapidly across Tasmania over the following 14 years. They may have originated from as few as two queens, making the population inbred and genetically weak.22 Aug 2017
The bumblebee was actually introduced into Tassie to combat the European wasps which were decimating the Tassie bee population- they apparently can cohabitate with regular bees, but not with European wasps
Megan, The only Skin Care you need (besides Sunscreen) is Axel Grease. Throw away all those expensive concoctions and just head to the auto shop & get axel grease. 👍 Happy New Year you two Crazy Cats. Luv uncle Gr8t. Now, get off my Island 😂👋 I think you’ve already left 😢
Megan wins!! The Bumble Bee was introduced to Tassie in the early 90s. They're actually rather invasive I've discovered, they seem to bully off the honey bees.
Fantastic video. I worked for the State Dept that created that walk (I wasn't directly involved just was big news at the time etc) Apparently it has been extremely popular and fantastic hike so hopefully you agree those who created it did a great job!!! Cheers, Chris
During lockdown we camped in the back corner of our back paddock for a week in our camper trailer. Every night we saw Echidnas wandering through our camp. So special, and right in our own backyard here in Temora NSW. The Tassie Bumble Bea is pretty special too. Happy New Year guys. 🎉💕
The look on your face, Megan, when Jack said "I'm wrong". Priceless! It spoke volumes without a single word... I'm doing a 2 month roadtrip in May and have not yet decided where to go. You guys are making Tassie look really tempting!
Hi Jack & Megan if you get anywhere near Port Arthur please have a look at the remarkable cave at low tide you can sneak over the barriers and explore or at high tide watch the sea smash in - Cheers
I'm going to mix it up and say bumble bee FTW. Bees are under threat and they are so essential to life. Also, I love my skincare routine. It may not 'do' anything but I find it relaxing. A bit of pampering. Happy New Year guys. All the best. x
There are two types of bumblebees here that I know of , one is really big and one is small. Pretty sure both are introduced. Our native bee is a small black bee. I'm not sure how many native bee varieties we have here though. I'm no entomologist 😊
Happy New Year guys , a bit of trivia , Dumbledore ( Harry Potter ) is an old English name for bumblebee 🙂 Any wildlife is good to see as long as it doesn't want to hurt you , I call it a draw . Now if you'd seen a Tasmanian Tiger , THAT would win hands down 😀
I've always known you guys are funny, but you were extra funny in this episode. Too many quotable moments to highlight just one. 😁 But one thing that made me LOL, is when you both imitated the position of the walking sign. 🤣 Keep up this style of real and unique way you share your life, it's refreshing. Loving the journey with you both. As for Netflix, I'm sure you'll love the show "Wednesday". It's the only Netflix series, I've binged watched in 2022 (other than Jack Ryan). 👍 Happy New to you both. Looking forward to more Jack & Megan shananigans in 2023. 😁
Hold your the only person to comment on that 😂😂😂😂 I (jack) walked past first doing it and Megan said what the hell are you doing so I pointed at the sign and we both just lost it laughing 😂😂😂 what a classic hey. We have actually bombed Wednesday great show hey! Thanks again mate and happy new year!!!
Happy New Year. I think that big bumble bee was introduced to Tasmania to help with pollination of plants. They can fly around in our colder temperatures where as the native bees don't like the cold. Great views on that walk.
So true, we just got back from Tazzie and we to had never seen one of the furry Bee either. I did get a heap of good pics if it. Your Tazzie series helps us heaps so many thanks
haha to this day I compare everything to the beauty of Esperance waters and white sands (home for 35 years). Ive not been south of tassie much but the east coast came close. Which ever beach your at it beats sitting in traffic in Perth's heat !! Happy New Year to you guys
Glad you’re getting a bit better weather now. Looks like it’s still a bit cold. Weather has got a bit better over here on the West Coast SI NZ as well finally.
The bumblebee for me. I remember seeing them in Tassie and they are so cool. Have to see them. Also, I don't think they have stingers, they are like a friendly bee. Way cooler than an echidna 🐝
Hi guys, what an awesome video, early morning watch and my face has had a good workout ( from smiling). Fantastic views again of a beautiful part of Australia, and you gave it so much life with you're commentary, hilarious and informative. You are both legends and bring so much joy to my life. I'm forever grateful for discovering you on UA-cam. Thanks again guys, stay safe please and enjoy the rest of your time in the Apple Isle. Smokey
Jack, the quick kiss on Megan's cheek before the start of your hike, was that a subtle apology for being grumpy when you got lost driving to the car park? 😁 And sorry to say Jack, my GF also goes through a very long skin care and/or beauty routine each time she goes to bed at night. But the results are worth every minute of it. ❤
Happy new year guys... wishing you all the best... those cliffs were amazing... like a bunch of pencils shoved into the water... incredible journey guys and we appreciate so much going along with you.... without the cold weather lol... Sorry Megan echidnas are cute but not all that rare... Jack wins with the bee... never seen anything so large
I have been visiting all the Columnar Jointed Rocks in Aus while on my travels and these are on my bucket list ... great way to start the year seeing them on your Channel ... have a great new year!
Great video the views where amazing i think that both finds are good happy new year's to you both all the best Ron looking forward to see what is coming
Echidna for the win! Those bumblebees are adorable but they're not native to Tasmania, though they are an awesome find! Happy new year! i'm excited to see what adventures you've got coming our way this year!
Happy new year guys . I was at a wildlife park somewhere and this echidna came up to me and let me pat it , it was amazing . Looking forward to another year of your adventures .
I was holding my breath the whole time you had the camera hanging over the lookout without it being attached to you at all 😱 I live in Tas and have a blonde echidna who has been living here for years. You may not have noticed but our echidnas have a lot less spikes than the mainland ones because they grow more hair to keep warm and the only animal (excluding cats and dogs) that are any threat at all to them are Quolls
Oh my gosh I said the same thing when editing hahaha didn't notice it at the time though! Yesss we did think that about the echidnas! They looked so much fluffier 😍
Hey guys ive have just found you channel ,and i got to say i love it your both a breath of fresh air ,were from Bunbury WA just bought a cub camper ,and are in planning mode at the moment ,your video was inspiring ,love your personalities and humour ,great content looking forward to seeing more ,take care stay safe and most importantly happy camping

You could probably sell those Glasses online to someone with only a Left Ear lol....those Cliff Formations are Amazing, and now we know why Megan looks so much younger then Jack...
Awesome views! Amazing hike. Tassie is so stunning. Love that Echidna for the win Megan! Baby echidnas are called puggles! How cute is that! Happy New Year! 🥂🎉
Echidna wins hands down, sorry Jack. Also gave me heart palpitations the way you were holding the camera over the end of the lookout, and then you went and showed it again in the out-takes...
Cape Hauy = "Cape Hoy" (like "Ahoy there!") Cape Raoul = "Cape Row" (Row, as in a fight or argument) Tassie is full of quirky coloqulisms and place names that only locals know so don't feel bad for getting them wrong! The most common is mainlanders calling Devonport "Davenport" 🤣
What are you talking about; from what I can tell looking at your audience, I don’t think anyone of them would care even the slightest regardless of if you showed your armpits shaven or completely grown out lol
Thanks
Glasses for jack ,there were no seals🤣
😂
Cape (g)Rowl, Cape Hoy as in Oiii, pretty sure the bumblebbee is an NZ accidental import
Yes it was, just read about it. I just copied and paste;

They were first observed in 1992 in Hobart and spread rapidly across Tasmania over the following 14 years. Echidna as the bumble bee is introduced
Echidna - definitely! Always love finding them.
Hey Jack all I can say is , spec-savers mate. What 🦭
The bumblebee was actually introduced into Tassie to combat the European wasps which were decimating the Tassie bee population- they apparently can cohabitate with regular bees, but not with European wasps

I think you’ve already left 😢
😂😂 axel grease classic!
We have indeed left wish we didn’t have to 🥲
I loved the bumble bee also the Echidna it's a draw 😂 thanks guys
The nicknames lol. You two are so cute😂
Megan wins!! The Bumble Bee was introduced to Tassie in the early 90s. They're actually rather invasive I've discovered, they seem to bully off the honey bees.
I just replied about the bumble bee too lol but you do realise the honeybee is also introduced :)
@@Sentinel-Ai yeah but the honey bee is better 😂
Sorry Megan, I think Jack wins with the giant bumblebee 😂. Great episode guys, so many smiles and happy times !!! Matt
Thank you for sharing this great video friend. Mag-ingat po kayo lagi godbless po. Happy new year.✅
We did cape Hauy recently , pronouced like 'Hoy' from fortesque just recently. Great spot.
What a fabulous walk.
Outtakes were very cute.
The bee is the winner for me 🐝
Oh and Jack skincare is a necessity!!!
Happy New Year guys 🎉
They're so interesting hey! Haha yesss maybe he will finally listen to how important skincare is 😆 Happy 2023!!
Fantastic video.
I worked for the State Dept that created that walk (I wasn't directly involved just was big news at the time etc)
Apparently it has been extremely popular and fantastic hike so hopefully you agree those who created it did a great job!!!

Oh that's awesome! We definitely noticed how well planned all the walks around Tassie have been! Thanks for watching Chris!
During lockdown we camped in the back corner of our back paddock for a week in our camper trailer. Every night we saw Echidnas wandering through our camp. So special, and right in our own backyard here in Temora NSW. The Tassie Bumble Bea is pretty special too. Happy New Year guys. 🎉💕
Oh wow that would have been such an amazing experience! Thanks so much for watching Tracy, all the best for 2023 🙏
The look on your face, Megan, when Jack said "I'm wrong". Priceless! It spoke volumes without a single word...
I'm doing a 2 month roadtrip in May and have not yet decided where to go. You guys are making Tassie look really tempting!
Hahaha such a rare thing for him to admit 😂 it is honestly stunning in Tassie with so much to see!
Hi Jack & Megan if you get anywhere near Port Arthur please have a look at the remarkable cave at low tide you can sneak over the barriers and explore or at high tide watch the sea smash in - Cheers
"Van Life Bby" love it 🔥
I'm going to mix it up and say bumble bee FTW. Bees are under threat and they are so essential to life. Also, I love my skincare routine. It may not 'do' anything but I find it relaxing. A bit of pampering. Happy New Year guys. All the best. x
I’d say the bumblebee, being it would have been harder to spot
There are two types of bumblebees here that I know of , one is really big and one is small. Pretty sure both are introduced. Our native bee is a small black bee. I'm not sure how many native bee varieties we have here though. I'm no entomologist 😊

Another great vid guy’s
Happy New Year. I think that big bumble bee was introduced to Tasmania to help with pollination of plants. They can fly around in our colder temperatures where as the native bees don't like the cold. Great views on that walk.
Tasmanian here, my Grandfather told they were introduced to kill off the Europoean wasps. Could be wrong.
@@erinrandall79 you could be right also. Maybe they are mulitaskers. 😊
Good one! See ya next year!
Cool Ep guys awesome looking country, A tie .
Thank you Jack and Megan for an entertaining 2022. Love you're content. Looking forward to a funtastic 2023
I think Megan wins as I’ve only seen one echidna in the wild before
I think the 100 seals that just disappeared might win the most interesting 😂😂😂
The mystery of the vanishing Seals..
Hahaha till this day I swear I saw seals 🤣🤣
So true, we just got back from Tazzie and we to had never seen one of the furry Bee either. I did get a heap of good pics if it. Your Tazzie series helps us heaps so many thanks
“What do you want for breakfast” “do you know how long it’s been since I’ve done a push-up” 😂 I’m very familiar with these conversations too
😂😂😂 classic hey!!
So cool you saw an echidna 😍 Tassie looks so amazing! We can't wait to explore it one day 🙌🏼
You guys will absolutely love it!! Echidna's everywhere.

You need to get Dymista for hay fever. Prescription needed from a GP but it is a LIFESAVER. Only antihistamine that works instantly
