The big yellow cage down at Sabine Pass is used to bring offshore structures back in for scrap metal. The company I work for has a barge dock a little north of the cage. Also across the river there's an old lighthouse called Sabine Pass Light and there in Sabine Pass there's Sabine Bank light. The highway (87) used to run all the way to Boliver point along the shore but a hurricane took it out and they never fixed it. There's a light in Port Lavaca called Halfmoon Reef light. It was moved in from the reef a long time ago. TX doesn't have a lot of lighthouses but the lighthouses that it has a pretty cool. Awe man... you missed the restaurant down at the end of the road in Indianola and you missed the old graveyard.
There was a lot of color shifting going on in this one on the road scenes. What did you use to shoot those sections with? We are heading out to the West coast and up to Alaska for the Summer so I have a big road trip ahead of me. If you care to stay up with that, my channel is dfyffe1. Lots of boondocking will be happening as well. Looking forward to the final episode to complete the series.
@@timaugustine-dirt_trippin OH. I know what that is and I have never bought any of the FJ cameras. Thanks to you, I'll save mu money and keep using GoPro's. Looking forward to seeing how you close out the trip.
Most of those roads were familiar. I love the Texas coast. My family actually settled in Indianola I believe around 1836.
That was a fun night at South Padre Island with you guys! See y’all at Fall Expo!🤘🏼
Likewise, David! See you then.
I wish we had more time.

You can literally say that you’ve literally been to every corner of Texas!
Such a great production!
Thank you!
I genuinely enjoy your videos.
Thank you, sir!
I was surprised y'all didn't drive through old Tx87 on the beach from Sea Rim to High Island.
We wanted to, but it was too big of a question mark.

It was an issue with auto WB. Doesn't work well on that camera at all. Never again. I will look you up. Sounds like a cool adventure.
@@timaugustine-dirt_trippin What kind of a camera was it? I would be honored to have you come along with me. It should be quite the adventure.
I was a faux pro. SJ Cam. 7, I think.

The cameras are great overall. The auto white balance doesn't work, so m I will be setting it manually from now on.
BOWL-ee-VAR?!! Hmmm, where ya'll from? I'm a native Houstonian and we say BOL-i-ver. LOL
Sorry. Not a local. Spanish pronunciation. My bad.
