@@Gvozd111 you just comment to comment. Your assertion has no basis in reality. My face is proof of my existence. You hide behind Russian characters with little knowledge. Kinda like your experience in Ukraine! 🖕🏼
Basic idea in aerodynamics is you want a smooth front and a sharp back. Smooth front and back would cause air to smoothly glide over and back down the car. The over is fine, as it has to be done but the back down causes a pressure to build up on the down slope, as the air would just want to stay smoothly gooing over and not back down. So to minimize those pressure zones you want that air to leave the car at a point like an edge where the low pressure zone is as small as possible. The pressure zone is basically pulling the car back, cuz the car was just there, but isnt anymore, and the air isnt fast enough to go there, so now there is nothing, and because there is nothing, it creates low pressure, which wants there to be something, and if air isnt fast enough to go there, it wants the car to stay there, so it pulls back on it, slowing it down. And ofc the bigger the area it pulls on the more it slows down, so you want as small low pressure zones as possible. Thats my high school level intuition anyways. The splitting air doesnt work, cuz its like pushing your finger against a wall when you make a straight line in an angle. Its gonna smack and hurt. But when u curve your finger, it directs the forces way more equally and you get it doesnt hurt as bad. So less force goes against the movement.
I don't know about the F-35 specifically, but I do know that certain airplanes such as the B-2 sacrifices aerodynamic efficiency for more stealth. The perfect round shape is way more visible on a radar than a flat surface which won't sent the radar signal back... It's all a compromise. The goal is not just aerodynamic efficiency, it's a bunch of different conflicting goals. In the case of the cybertruck, they prioritized using that rolled steel which you can't really bend into a smooth rounded shape at all. In the case of EVERY CAR they always compromise between aerodynamic efficiency and inside space / looks. For example, having a cover over the rear wheel is more efficient, every ultra-low-drag car has it. However it looks stupid, so manufacturers rarely make it, they want customers to like the looks of their cars. Except BMW, they have decided lately that ugly is better...

It's obvious that the CT is designed to be used in Mars. They just need to fit it with cabin oxygen system and it's good to go. No engines that requires oxygen to operate as well. It uses the same stainless steel as the spaceX rockets, but the steel is not moldable like normal cars, so the just fold it in shape, resulting in it's sharp design. It's stainless, so no need to paint to prevent rusts, saving cost of paint in the production phase. It's brilliant.
Compression moulding could turn those sheets of steel into any shape theyd like. Moulding isnt the correct term, its new technology, but basically two massive robot arms pinch the metal and bend it bit by bit to create shapes.
