I said out loud, over and over, while watching this video, just one word, because it’s so breathtaking, the only word to say is: WOW (at least 20 times)
NO PROBLEM.... You always can fix that bug!!!!! Love to watch beetle bugs on video even I’m 72. I miss my 1965 as I bought it for $1000 when I was 18. Sad but good memory.
Thumbs down because this video was too short! I could have watched this for about another 30 minutes 😂. What a beauty. Thanks Chris, all the way from Colorado 🤙
most people say that but can't take care of the car. I have one, nobody will give me good money for it I'm sure so I just keep it. a modern any car is like a luxury car compared to these too btw. most of you folk are better off buying the vw new beetle. better creature comfort, automatic transmission, a/c and heat among other things.
..BEUATIFUL restoration, beautiful car!...and thank you for RESTORING it instead of "rodding" it or "rest-modding" it..or even worse, leaving it in "patina".... :)
If I were to throw caution to the wind and want to restore a bug (or maybe a Type 3) to be a daily driver, THIS is the color I'd paint it. The color combo on this car just looks fantastic. Thanks for posting this BTW. How long does it take to restore a car like this start to finish?
Omg !🙀 she’s gorgeous! A lot of work goes into this wow!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😎 are there tires that you can get with the wider white wall.? I looked at Coker but they didn’t have it! Do they even exist?
Gosh .... this is years later but I'm wondering why not? does this mean original color isn't as important ? I have a 72 guia not original color, thought it worth less ?
@@ignaciozermeno2278 vws are funny. as long as it has a killer color combination, the car will sell very well. Many purest want to see true colors from originality, but some of those true colors were not the greatest colors back in the day and even now. So regardless they will not sell as high as a really nice-looking bug.
@@classicvwbugs thank you for the always expedient response! I'll be watching (DVR'd) this for sure. Beyond inspired by your work and applying it to my '63 ground up restore. Thanks again for everything!

Such a shame woffes x-members and Klasicfab heaterchanels where not used. As the resto otherwise is relly nice. It would have taken this beetle just that extra notch higher... But good job anyway its a really nive Beetle
Yes this was done 7 years ago, I was not that prevy to those guys yet, so I relied on what I knew at the time. Looking back, yes, I would have gone with them.
Another beautiful bug! I so wish I could afford your services! You do such great work!

Beach House song to an awesome restoration - it's like this video was made for me! Beautiful car!

As beautiful as this is, I would have liked it better, in original Color. 👨🏼🦳😘✌🏼
I hear ya, but it probably would not have gone for the money it went for back 7 years ago.

Hey Chris, any idea as to what day your car will be on the auction block. Would love to tune in. Beautiful work as always!
Yes Thursday. Also watch a 59 atlas blue convertible go across the same day. That car also has work done at our shop.

@@brianlayton6704 awesome man.
Beautiful but it seems that restoration costs would have FAR exceeded the value of that car!
Depends on the model, these early bugs can do really well in the market. But this goes most restorations on many cars.

Don't let one of those clickbait restoration sites steal your footage. Hopefully the watermark will work.
They steal all the time from me

Un peccato la trasformazione di una auto originale in buone condizioni
Non é restauro questo ma rifacimento
Meglio molto restauro conservativo
