We stayed at Horsehead Mountain Lodge at the south end of Monticello when we brought our RZRs to Moab in 2017. We went on Chicken Corners, Kane Creek, Poison Spider, Chutes and Ladders, Johns Canyon, and Comb Ridge. Loved it out there!
Shawn, I saw a funnel drop from clouds near Pahrump, NV a couple years ago. It did not reach the ground and I didn’t bother to tell anyone because I didn’t think anyone would believe me. 😎
I'd prefer to watch slow pans of the vistas over the time lapse view of the drive. The lake deserved a tripod and several minutes of ambient noise and views of all the flying bugs. Thumbs up on the small town fireworks. Best wishes for all. I'm surprised that Shawn would celebrate pioneer day.
I hope your schedule is not to only release videos when your truck decides to break down. Soon you and Mike will have everything in tip-top shape and it will never break down. Just plan more trips like this to show the world how vast and majestic the scenery is in Utah!
Thanks for showing everyone how nice it is south of Moab - most folks think it's just flat plateaus, but the Abajos/Blues, Cedar Mesa, Comb Ridge, etc., make for some great recreation and 4WD trails and roads! Thanks, Mike and Shawn!
Shawn, thank you for showing us some more of beauty near you. I am a Landscape Photographer and love the beauty that is all around us, if we just take the time to see. Its great that you make time to be with family and enjoy life together. May you continue to be abundantly blessed. The food looks delicious. John here, photographing the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
If you stay in Monticello or Blanding, you've got so much to see and so many trails to drive or hike, from mountains to desert. And, you're not far south of Moab and the southern Moab trails are in San Juan County! If you want to stay nearer the north-side Moab trails, stay in Green River and drive up into the Book Cliffs or San Rafael Swell, and from there, it's only about an hour east on I-70 to the Grand Junction areas such as the 21 road extreme 4WD trail!
Go !! Utah is my 2nd fav state...always will be an Arizonan, but Utah is wonderful and full of beautiful places to visit. The variety there is unbelievable!
Your 4 door square body is in good shape ans i love it. I always have 78 Blazers or older ones. I real like the 97 blazers also and want one to LS swap.
Thanks Shawn for the info on the plant starting @2:00minutes...these plants grow on our property here in Monument CO and I never knew that about them. Very interesting.
Truely enjoyed your video Shawn, just relaxing! I'm no botanist but I think the plant is lambs ear and not mullein (which would be used for teas etc ...) Great fireworks! Hope to meet you and the others someday soon! 💯💥👍
It’s crazy how widespread it is, I grew up in far northwest Washington right on the border and it grew there. I live in Central Oregon now at 3200 feet with subzero winters and it grows here.
Taikuu Shawn, loved the scenery and all of your activities, oh yeah, I recognized Aunt Jemima. I been in and out of all three directions from Monticello many many times, Moab, Cortez and Blanding, from 1977 till today, tho I live in Alaska now. See ya..
Just can’t beat the area. Love the small town, no crazy crowds. Thanks for sharing
