I often say you can work out what series of Clone Wars someone is on by asking what they think of Ahsoka. Some of the best character development in any Star Wars series or films.
Read a lot of comments. Late to Star Wars and have to say, I instantly loved her. The smart mouth side kick reminded me of my niece when she stayed with me for awhile and then her story happened and it was really tough to watch. I’m excited to continue seeing her but always watch old clips of her and Anakin time to time for nostalgia.
My father (who won't watch animated stuff) asks me seriously why I like Ahsoka so much. I always answer that it's two things; firstly that she gives so much insight into Anakin's turn, but secondly, her theme as a character is mistake after mistake. We always know why she makes the choices she does, but she is met by failure and betrayal at every turn. And at every turn she finds a way to put herself back together. That is a strength and resilience I have not seen in a lot of characters
This is so well done! thank you for this! I've been cramming the Rebels series and then critical Clone Wars episodes for back story, and this ties so much together even of things I missed!
Oh, wow... I'm so totally hyped !!! 🤩 I only have half a dozen episodes of Rebels left to watch and I can't wait. Dave Filoni has really been doing a truly amazing job with his TV shows, they all deepen and enrich George Lucas's Star Wars way better than the latest Trilogy did !
I'm guessing that little owl-thing is an idea pinched from Greek mythology - Athena's Owl, representing wisdom. Athena is representative of wisdom and war, which seems appropriate for Ahsoka. I enjoyed this video - thank you.

Great recap! You covered all the important points without going overboard. I'm anticipating great reviews from you. I appreciate your shared love for Star Wars. I'm currently preparing for the major rewatch of Ashoka-centric Clone Wars and Rebels. However, Rebels left me with many unanswered questions. I noticed that in the Mandalorian, Ashoka is dressed in black or gray, but in the Rebel epilogue, she transformed into Ashoka the White (like Gandalf's transformation). I'm eagerly anticipating Dave's explanation of what happened to Ashoka in the temple at the end of "World Between Worlds", how she disappeared during the initial Trilogy, and how she found Luke. There are so many loose ends. What's particularly haunting to me is the LucasFilms banner in red, suggesting a death or loss battle. Thus, this first season will keep me in suspense until the very end.
Thank you! Yes her grey outfit, and then switching to white is interesting. Good catch on the red Lucasfilm logo! The rumor of a place called “the beyond” might have some significance to that. The Beyond is referenced in the Thrawn Ascendancy novel Greater Good. In the unknown regions, some force sensitives called the force, the beyond. Possibly even the cosmic force. Interesting idea

I think this new Balan character was probably a former Jedi Temple Knight (or was in training to be a Temple Knight during Order 66). I can't remember if Temple Knights were all force wielders (not Jedi), but they were definitely force sensitive. Anyways... I can't wait for the show to start.
What are you referring to as a temple knight? There were Jedi Consular, Jedi Guardian, and Jedi Sentinels. All three were Force using, trained Jedi knights.
The master in the series Is extremely thoughtful and kind. Avoiding violence and preferring dialogue. I like him. He is a dark sith who has clarity, is a man of his word, and thinks things through. He has a lot of wisdom and isn't just made out to be this villain. He strikes me as a stoic or philosophical sith.
He clearly is no Sith. He is "just" a fallen Jedi, lost to the Dark Side, but not using Sith teaching or philosophy. And he reminds me totally of our game master in our Star Wars RPG round. ;-)
I love that you told us Ahsoka's history. (I avoided cause it's animated and I found myself feeling with some tears @12:02). Thank you so much. I love this character and her energy...white.

Anikin knew about order 66. in a way. He had visions when he was a young Jedi. like with Padme. I bet he saw Ahsoka get killed in one and that's why he trained her so hard.

Ahsoka is not only the perfect Jedi but a perfect Star Wars character. She has one of the best character developments in all of Star Wars. Disney can keep Rey, this is the character we need and deserve
Ahsoka was no more perfect than the rest of them. I could tell in "The Mandalorian" Season Two, that she had retained some of the Jedi's more rigid views.

-- So when I saw how the Jedi Orders Council treated their very own to judged her guilty without consulting the Force for the truth, or given her fair Jedi trials first - I felt then and there that Yoda and the whole Jedi Orders Council( I repeat - C O U N C I L - and not the Jedis under them ) deserved what happened to them from Order 66. Failed them their green little grand master did! @ 5:03
I'm even more buzzing for the Ahsoka series now!!
This is so well done! Your approach is informative, respectful and no politics were involved. Your voice was also upbeat but so considerate and caring of the subject matter. Anyone, any age can watch this to get up to speed! Thank you so much, this is a much needed video!😊
“No politics were involved”
Dude has no idea of the deep political undertones the first OT movies have ☠️☠️☠️
@@ryanstallard1160 his video was non- political in nature compared to so many others on the net that have political undertones. Can't help that the movies might have been, look who's running Disney, man! 😂
Great video! You have done an incredible job tying all of this very complex story together and making it understandable! I love Ashoka's character, and am so excited about the show, and that her story is getting the limelight it deserves!
I often say you can work out what series of Clone Wars someone is on by asking what they think of Ahsoka. Some of the best character development in any Star Wars series or films.
It's so bittersweet seeing these moments, knowing what's coming for all of them....
Perfectly put!
Great, great summary. You didn’t waste any words during your description. Thoroughly enjoyed your vid.
Wow just wow …… I didn’t know all this existed! Just brilliant
Literally watching this now before it debuts!!! I can’t wait
Let’s goooooooo
Thank you!!! Thank you !!! i am an old gun and never saw about Ashoka….i wanted to remain in the “old”Star Wars but saw the one with Anakin and Patme and realized the trilogy… and I need more …..❤
I always loved their Big brother Little sister dynamic.
I wanna cry so bad watching this. It always hits hard. I’ve seen everything starwars including the games and now ive been collecting comics & all the prequels make the story so sad cause we know whats gunna happen
@@SWPhoenixSquadron I have watched your video four times now. Your ability to articulate your points through a well-written script and well-edited clips is truly impressive. Your enthusiasm is infectious, making it a joy to listen to you. Keep up the great work! You have past 5K Subscribers and 140K views on this video. Impressive... quite impressive. Tony
Finally I got to understand a full back story on the character. I know who she was but there's a lot of missing pieces that I didn't know about.
I wonder if we’ll see the Ahsoka vs Vader during the battle of Malachor from Rebels into live action!! That would be a great parallel scene to Obi-wan vs Anakin in the Kenobi series
I agree I’d love to see that in live action!
Would rather see force ghost anakin guide Ahsoka
@@TisDansk why not both? But yeah I’d also rather see Hayden Christensen as Anakin in present time. We’ve never gotten to see it. Kenobi is set in the past so that doesn’t count. I’m talking about Mandoverse present time
@@multicreativeartist6579 agreed
@@TisDansk I don’t think they’d bring Hayden back just to play as Vader. I’m sure he’ll play as Anakin. It just depends on either a flash back or force ghost in present time talking to ahsoka
Thank you for your hard work making such a detailed breakdown of Ahsoka's story.
Thanks for watching!
Yep I absolutely love Baylon!
Thanks for this. Big Star Wars fan but never watched much of the animated things - excited for this show!
What a great video. Love the details that fill in the gaps around the different series.
That recap was amazing!!! May the force be with you.
Asoka has the power of a pure forceweilder transferred into her witch makes her the most powerful Gray jedi who ever existed amen
Hallelujah!!!
*which
Nope !! Revan, Bendu, Tar Vizla, Starkiller, & Dark Empire Luke Skywalker are stronger "Grey Jedi" force wielders.
Lol u need to learn what a gray is cuz Ashoka is far from that. Ashoka is the most closest thing to a true Jedi!
She’s not a gray jedi…
the ending of the clone wars had me crying so hard, it killed me
thank you for putting this together, it helps a lot and is appreciated
Exceptional recap. Very succinct. I had seen all of that multiple times. But to those without the patience to go back and watch Clone Wars, Rebels, and all the shorts (i.e., my wife 😅) this is an invaluable historical recap for the new series! Thank you so much!
duuuuuuuude, I enjoyed every second of this video... and i loved the clone war series... cant wait for ahsoka series...Thank you for this.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, I had forgotten so much and you refreshed my memory.
👊🏼
im so hyped for episode 3 and 4 dude thank you for hyping me
Great video, it really helped me to understand Ahsoka's story.
Thanks Guy, i luv Star Wars but im not a big animation fan so havnt seen the shows and people keep saying the Ashoka show wont be as impactful if u dont know her back story..Thanks for the video, it was very well put together and made easy enough to follow..You should work for Disney to make promotional and series companion videos for them..
Haha I wish! But thanks for watching and I’m glad it helped!
Thanks for this video ! May the force be with all of you !
Wow yeah NEEDED to see this! There is SO much I’ve missed been watching clones wars & rebels but thanks for catching us up.
This really helped put together some loose ends for me. Thanks!!
Great video. Like so many others I was unsure about Ahsoka when she first appeared, but grew to love her spirit and determination and was thrilled to see her return in Rebels and then again in the Book of Boba Fett. I can't wait to see her series :)
Anikin knew about order 66. in a way. He had visions when he was a young Jedi. like with Padme. I bet he saw Ahsoka get killed in one and that's why he trained her so hard.
Great recap! I did not have tome to fo back and watch Rebela and Clone Wars again, so this was a great refresher. The new series is off to a good stsrt imo. Thatnks for your hard work!
A lot of your predictions held true...well done :)
Thank you for your time! Impressive work to put all this together!
🙏🏼
Fantastic run down of one of the best Force users ever . Thank you
very good cover of the story and well told! Thanks to this recomended vid I Realized I had missed that Tales of the Jedi came, watched it and it was amazing. Also THE BAD BATCH season 2, going to watch it now. The first season was pure Gold.
Basically thanks for the reminder from a fan to annother 😆
Thank you for the summary. Really helpful in understanding the Asoka Serie.
DUDE, you are amazing! This recap is so on point, and educational! just WOW. Keep up the good work, this is so good. Can't WAIT for the ahsoka series!
Thank you!
The great thing about Morai is it appears i the Mandalorian. Look in the trees, in "The Jedi", when Din talks to Ahsoka. It's there, on a branch.
AHSOKA and Vador is one of the best story arcs in cinema.
I love Ahsoka so much she carries Anakin's spirit and more in my eyes ❤
I hope Ahsoka finds Ezra, who has hidden himself away with Bendu and they both create a new school of forcewielders called the Bendurs. It would definitely tie into Disney level of Canon!
The middle ground
@michaeloffen7513 they could call the school "The Middle School" 🤣
Also Bendurs is great lmao
@@phixidelta I think Bendurs ties more into the essence of Disney 🤪
Lucasfilm canon. DISNEY never cancelled anything. fact.
@@CaptainSpalding72 Disney cancelled the essence of Star Wars. Lucasfilm created Star Wars so it’s clear which is true Canon…
@@DRush76 She was, she figured out how flawed the order was at the end of the Clone Wars yet never turned to the dark side. While the likes of Yoda or Obi Wan had no issue killing Clones during order 66, Ahsoka tried what she could to not kill anyone. She grew into a person who did the right thing no matter what. She was what a Jedi should be
True, but she doesn't consider herself a Jedi. Honestly, I thought Rey's character would have a similar revelation to Ahsoka's, but instead she just became all the Jedi... How does that "balance the force". Ahsoka is the hero I want!!!
Thank you for this great video. Its so good for all people who are didn't seen Clone Wars, Rebels, Tales of the Jedi, or even didn't read comics and books.
Ezra in Rebels that moment in World between Worlds created second Universe in this moment becouse in Star Wars legends Comics a books where is even Ahsoka Novel by E. K. Johnston after fighting on Malachor she die when Vader kill her.
Even Calleb Dume order 66 comics is in part retconed you know batch season 1 episode 1

She already meet Luke Skywalker before the Ahsoka series. The outfit change and intact Light Saber proves it.
That this was a great video for casual Star wars fans to catch us up. Thank you
Thankyou so much, awesome overview
Really well done recap!
Thank you!
FANTASTIC SUMMARY! YOU KNOW Star Wars and it's nice to see fans who ACTUALLY loves Star Wars.... .keep them coming!
This clears up a lot of things for me . Thanks
This was AMAZING to watch
Thank you!
Great video dude....I think there are a lot of folks out there who don't know who Ahsoka is and this would definitely fill them in!
that's their problem....
Excellent job breaking down the timelines.💯👍🏾✨️✨️✨️😎
Thanx - great guide .. we have not seen half of what you have outlined in Australia yet. So many chapters are missing for us.
Standing at the graves of the soldiers and Vader later recovering her lightsaber with only the sound of the wind... awesome.
Very nice, though I have seen all of this it was wonderfully narrated and tells the great story that is Asoka.
Note @7:26 the writers pay respect to the 332nd squadron. The 332nd historically is The Tuskegee Airmen! Thank you for that nod!
The Clone Wars (TV series) is the best Star War series ever. I think that's why it lasted for 12 years. I really enjoyed the animations and stories. I also really like the Ahsoka character in the series. I have some serious doubts about the new Ahsoka series because there is something in live action that just does not translate well from animation to live characters. We've seen the disasters from Disney's other amitation movies that were done with live characters. I would have preferred to see a new series for Ahsoka but in animation.
Nevertheless, I will keep an open mind and see how the new series develops.
Thank you for catching me up!
Brilliant video, exactly what I was looking for. Thankyou
I like tge fact we are getting more Ashoka content, but imo she works better animated then Live Action
The Bendu also mentions the Ashla and the Bogan while training Kanan in Rebels.
Thank you for that informative update!
Dude, thank you for this! You are brilliant!
Thank you for watching!
Ahsoka is the real chosen one by the force…she is the light, her lifesabers talk for her ⚪️⚪️
Silver Angel~
The chosen is anakin, she's just chosen by light. The force is both dark and light, so sorry she's not the chosen one
This was so well done... thank you!
ahsoka died here, but anakin stopped her from dying... watch eps. 2 1:24:00 he said " i will even learn to stop people from dying"...
That was a great video! Thank you for posting it
Kanan & Ezra take Ahsoka to the forgotten Jedi temple on Lothal. Not the other way around. But it was her suggesting that in hard times, she could always look forward to wisdom from Obi-Wan, or Yoda that led them back.
Having alreay talked to Master Yoda there, previously, Kanan and Ezra take Ahsoka there to commune with Yoda.
