Im sorry but the hyping up of the most minimal features is ridiculous. "You dont need to scroll down" to view player stats, nobody cares about that. Give us GENUINE new features - Career mode players dont care about menu updates, we want changes to the game, more tactical updates, more player interaction, more cutscenes etc.
EA have to change the transfer balance system within the game! It's always been my biggest criticism of career mode. You shouldn't be able to just buy all the best players in the game within 3-4 seasons. It should be done coinsided with FFP and the amount you get to spend calculated by FFP and the amount of money your club generates based on the size of the club. But also the game needs to be flexible to change clubs situations, so over a 10 year period you can increase your clubs structure by doing things like building a new stadium. But at the expense of have tiny budgets for multiple seasons to follow, while the debt is played off. Also the player overall ratings need to change much more abruptly, as they do in real life. Rashford is a good example of how much a players form can change from one season to the next. Form and overall need to be merged together and go up and down much more abruptly. Also team chemistry is so important and we haven't had it for decades! We should have it and it should be calculated in a very complex way... involving the way the manager plays compared to the player, how long the player has been with the groupe of players, if the player is playing in their favoured position, if the players form is high or low compared to their starting overall etc etc. There are so many ways they could give us a fantastic career mode busting with immersion but they just never do. I've bought the game every year since fifa 97 because I love gaming and football but last year I decided enough was enough. I'm not going to buy the game every year any more with false hope just to be disappointed year after year by a greedy company just cutting and pasting and counting the billions.
All I want is to be able to look at players, clubs and competitions history. Clubs played at, g/a, personal achievements (top gs etc), clubs trophies and legends, past a future ballon d’or winners, if the prem has a new top scorer it updates and displays it on the league profile and history etc. When will they add it ffs
Main features missing for me: 1) player career stats; 2) much harder to find world class prospects; 3) more players failing to meet their potential, with average player rating fairly static (including in AI teams).
We definitely need a spreadsheet on each players goals assists and trophies etc like in FM it might be a tedious code but easy to do and being able to see that stuff will add so much to the game
Big question: Does the CPU controlled teams take into consideration their tactics and player roles in transfers? This for me would be the single biggest improvement and FCIQ would be vital to this.

What EA need to fix is the youth academy players telling you that they feel ready for the first team, 9 out of 10 they not even the best youth players in your academy. And stop letting them leave when you don’t send them to the first team

I think there are some really nice changes this time. People seem to forget there is only so much you can change in a year, and they have actually achieved quite a lot. And it bodes well for the future games, if they can add other things. One thing I would like is a full reserve teams, Premier league 2 for example, to keep all players active, including newly promoted youth players and 3rd choice seniors etc.

One thing I noticed in the write-up, that wasn't in the video, was this: "If you have your own story idea for your Career, you can follow your own dreams and set up your starting conditions as part of a Custom Start. You will be able to set up your Age, Skill Level as well as Personality type. Whether you want to set up a young player with average skill but an undying love for your hometown club, an experienced player with all the skills who is a true maverick, or anything in between, Custom Start enables you to create your own story. If you’re happy starting from the traditional point of a young player that you can develop and mold, you can select the Clean Slate option and see where that takes you. Whichever way you start your career, just remember that once selected, the Origin will be fixed to that particular save file." Couple of observations. The prefab starts are a good jumping off point, but being able to, essentially, start as anyone or no one, from a story and stat perspective, is what made this a buy for me. For anything character-based, there has to be an emotional "in" that connects the user, to the character. And having the option to create a custom backstory, means the user will already have a connection to the character, because, well, it's their character, and not someone else's. And since Player characters can transfer into Managers, Player backstories could almost be considered deep lore, for characters that are around long enough to end up prowling the sidelines. Don't underestimate the effects of an emotional "hook." In entertainment, the deliverable IS emotion. Also, seeing Youth Academy players grow up over time, might sound cosmetic and pointless, but if they've implemented it well, good luck trying to keep your parental instincts in check. Additionally, streamlining the front end, means less time engaging with the software, as software, and more time engaging with the game's world. That's where the focus should be, because that's where the emotion will be, and emotion is the deliverable. You're not supposed to notice a machine, as machine: you're only supposed to notice its output. If you notice the machine itself, it's probably because something's wrong. A color patch is wrong on the TV; the DVD player is skipping; the headphones are cutting out. Again, you notice the machine then, because you aren't interested in the machinery, per se: what you care about, is the picture, the playback, the sound. So, less time tabbing through menus, makes the "world" more seamless to the user. Do NOT underestimate what that can do to user engagement. I know a lot of that sounds abstruse and eggheaded, but some of the persistent, under the hood improvements, are going to be worth a lot more, over time, than big splashy set pieces that you won't see as much of.
I'm one of those players that's excited for a Women's career mode addition. It'll shake it up for me as well. Having played Fifa year after year you get to the who to buy who not to etc. Having women's and not knowing too much about the game as far as players, potentials, characteristics just add more to the game. As a career mode player I am very happy with the changes

I like being the timeline feature where you can start at different points in the season. But aside from that I don't really care about the other stuff. How have they not added being able to see stats from other leagues, and why does this data just disappear after one season. In NBA2K you can see all the records, why cant you just add it to this game?

Glad they have a more “realistic” style of gameplay, that ‘arcade-y’ style is so garbage to play. The academy is fantastic, even though I was hoping for a ton of new feature additions, the new academy tab and features so far for FC25 is a great start, easily one of the most exciting things added. The Squad Hub is fiiiiiinally fixed in terms of that scrolling like you were mentioning that. The scrolling drove me mad af lol. A fan of the social media, big fan of that just little bit of extra immersion that I love and want more of each yr. Hopefully there’s not just 2-4 known names/organizations. I would be really cool to have the Daily Mail, start rumours if you scout a player that you’re in talks and therefor that then either helps or hurts your chances of signing them. Women’s Career Mode! love it, I’m one of the guys that is definitely excited for this! I’ve been asking for his for a bit. I think it’ll be not only great for women’s career but it’ll add another dynamic and feature for people to play. I mean worst case you don’t like, oh well don’t use it… but there’s some of us who will and even some more who will wonder into it and it will create a new women’s league fan which is great for everyone all around.
Please bring on FIFA and pro clubs, ea career mode is still dull, these 30 features would be what could have made this game really wild and more fun in my view - let me know which ones you agree with or what I missed: 1) player transfers too boring, not like football manager where you can declare interest and try get the player to force a move or to force a player out 2) contract negotiations also very boring and too easy, could have had the praise player or speak about to try motivate the player prior to contract negotiations 3) assistant manager employment not there, so simulation or media management could be moved on to assistant manager 4) Fabrizio Romano idea is good, but why not have the ability to create conflict with him and or leak story to him to get to a player 5) why no feature to ask your representative to target clubs or an international position you want, ie: I want to be the Real Madrid manager so get your name leaked through your assistant or speak to club, same applies for the international position 6) recruitment of retiring players to coaching staff, far fetched but why not 7) stories of the club that get hyped up when you are on a cup run, or on a double or treble potential 8) celebrations of cup wins, always bland and boring 9) bombshells like a club being taken over or getting in to financial fair play problems 10) transfers should be inline with financial fair play 11) winning advertising by meeting certain targets that boost your transfer budget or same applies to retain advertising 12) recognizing a retiring player correctly 13) better ballon dor reaction and prediction exchanges with media pre and post interviews 14) conflict with rival manager 15) making player reveal much more engaging 16) creation center that allows us to upload and download creations 17) stadium creation 18) story mode should have more media engagement 19) intro in to stadiums pre match, fifa 99 and fifa World Cup 98 had a great intro to the stadium with a drone shot around the stadium 20) player celebrations - only 5 or 6 were decent, the rest were crap in fc 24, bring back the old more exciting celebrations 21) fifa 97 indoor matches was an amazing mode 22) fouls that really injure players is great when you want to get dirty, it’s not nice but it’s fun 23) fifa World Cup 2022 had the flaming ball on power shots from long distance, it’s a game, this is cool and exciting 24) you can’t score from behind the half way line, what’s the point of making games so realistic but you miss this fun and cool very realistic feature 25) player swap in transfers, why restrict it to 1 player and not multiple 26) player development in career mode is near impossible, what’s the point of scouting a 15year old who could be a 94 but by the time he is 18 he is still less than 80 while you could buy an 18yr old that’s 87 or 88 like Gavi type player or endrick 27) why not have more legends on every update that you can auto download to bring in to manager mode instead of making it restricted, there is no excitement or continuity without this 28) why don’t squad update in the game and players update stats at each point based on reality 29) why not update the feature of manager mode to have challenges in each season and scenarios that keep the seasons more engaging 30) would be nice to have legend managers such as Scolari or alex Ferguson I know that was long but tell me who agrees with this
You are pretty much spot on about everything. There are somethings I don't really care about on your list, but hey others will. Might I add, Fifa 09 or 10 used to have some nice features: set ticket prices, expand stadiums, get sponsors, invest in youth academy and get 75 rated teenagers straight away etc. They seem to remove features too and bring em back like they are new 😂 they don't licencing for my club AC Milan! Shambolic! How can they let that happen. No San Siro, fake name, badge and kit. Wtf!!! I love the youth academy in career mode. wouldn't it be to cool to the real academy players already in the youth academy when you begin the game, even if its just a few. For example as a Milan fan, having Zeroli, Liberali, Camarda, Raveyre, A. Jiménez (if they not in the 1st team already) just there in the youth academy is great! Add Primavera and PL2 as part of the youth academy as well, when ur player gets injured they go train with u23s. Oh my word my bro, we could be here till the earth perishes talking about improvements. This actually shows how little they have done over the years.
Changes like these are a real slap in the face. It shows EA knows, and probably always has, exactly what players want. But because it doesnt bring in the most money, they devote little to no time to it. Maybe if big content creators were honest instead of being a marketing tool, it would help. But aye, someone at EA isnt complaining as they rack in over $1.6+ billion every year on ultimate team alone.
Youth tournaments is dope I just really hope youth players actually develop play style +’s. I played 500 hours of a manager career mode in fc24, and last week I had my first youth academy player randomly develop tiki taka+ after over 10 years into my manager mode. Really hope we see more development in playstyles for youth academy
As i do not like press conferences in the game, I don't like a mechanic that makes them feel mandatory. I wish there was a setting to 'delegate press conferences'.
They need to add that players who have outgrown your club want to leave and go to a higher division. I hate the fact, that due to potential being to overpowered my team that started in a 3rd tier league becomes so good that you instantly march through the second division as you reach it
any reason why features like requesting extra funds was removed ? id like to see a manager profile where results and experience is shown. for all the actions you do as a manager it builds up to your experience. that way bigger clubs can come for a manager because he is able to perform with tight budgets or makes a lot of profit to mention a few
Favorite new feature is being able to play the current MLS schedule, with the new start point feature this makes MLS such a better option for career mode

I think it looks like a great improvement. EA have to make their money, but for something I will use say 300 times a year it's about 20p per day and that for the entertainment, the improvements and the immersion seems good value. Really looking forward to this and hoping for a bugless release. (Not like the Cities Skylines II mess)

100% agree with you mister. Hardcore career mode players want to change appearence of youth academy players. Hairstyles, facialhair, tattoos. They've already said that appearance will change with their age, so after 15 seasons they would all look like Captain caveman if we cant change it. I always scout for players with different kind of hairstyles. Bun, afro, dreads, ponytale, beard etc. We need this change!

Cranium is huge, big W for Youth academy saves as well, I like the added social media tab and press conference + moral update and additional simulation sliders, live starting points makes it feel more fresh as you can get into a save live later on in the season.. I think I'll get the game this year after skipping EAFC 24, I'm actually excited about some additions. Ofc they could have done more but this is a step in the right direction for sure

Players losing stats because they are TOO HAPPY. Well it would be an EA Game without something unrealistic and stupid
It aint unrealistic. the Player might feel too comfortable in the team and wont give 100% in games if he’s too happy.
@@mervinmatondo111 Being HAPPY and being too comfortable/complacent is two totally different things. Players get comfortable and complacent when they believe they are untouchable in a team not when they are playing minutes at the top of their game performing and happy. HENCE IT UNREALISTIC
@@akiemdouglas8701yeah youre totally right but what if the manager says that a Player is untouchable, his morale Will go up too much and he Will start playing nonchalant Thats why i think its realistic if they reduce their stats. And also it aint that difficult to keep the morale below the limit.

One thing I noticed in the write-up, that wasn't in the video, was this:
"If you have your own story idea for your Career, you can follow your own dreams and set up your starting conditions as part of a Custom Start. You will be able to set up your Age, Skill Level as well as Personality type. Whether you want to set up a young player with average skill but an undying love for your hometown club, an experienced player with all the skills who is a true maverick, or anything in between, Custom Start enables you to create your own story. If you’re happy starting from the traditional point of a young player that you can develop and mold, you can select the Clean Slate option and see where that takes you. Whichever way you start your career, just remember that once selected, the Origin will be fixed to that particular save file."
Couple of observations.
The prefab starts are a good jumping off point, but being able to, essentially, start as anyone or no one, from a story and stat perspective, is what made this a buy for me.
For anything character-based, there has to be an emotional "in" that connects the user, to the character. And having the option to create a custom backstory, means the user will already have a connection to the character, because, well, it's their character, and not someone else's. And since Player characters can transfer into Managers, Player backstories could almost be considered deep lore, for characters that are around long enough to end up prowling the sidelines.
Don't underestimate the effects of an emotional "hook." In entertainment, the deliverable IS emotion.
Also, seeing Youth Academy players grow up over time, might sound cosmetic and pointless, but if they've implemented it well, good luck trying to keep your parental instincts in check.
Additionally, streamlining the front end, means less time engaging with the software, as software, and more time engaging with the game's world. That's where the focus should be, because that's where the emotion will be, and emotion is the deliverable.
You're not supposed to notice a machine, as machine: you're only supposed to notice its output. If you notice the machine itself, it's probably because something's wrong. A color patch is wrong on the TV; the DVD player is skipping; the headphones are cutting out. Again, you notice the machine then, because you aren't interested in the machinery, per se: what you care about, is the picture, the playback, the sound.
So, less time tabbing through menus, makes the "world" more seamless to the user. Do NOT underestimate what that can do to user engagement.
I know a lot of that sounds abstruse and eggheaded, but some of the persistent, under the hood improvements, are going to be worth a lot more, over time, than big splashy set pieces that you won't see as much of.
I'm one of those players that's excited for a Women's career mode addition. It'll shake it up for me as well. Having played Fifa year after year you get to the who to buy who not to etc. Having women's and not knowing too much about the game as far as players, potentials, characteristics just add more to the game. As a career mode player I am very happy with the changes

I like being the timeline feature where you can start at different points in the season. But aside from that I don't really care about the other stuff. How have they not added being able to see stats from other leagues, and why does this data just disappear after one season. In NBA2K you can see all the records, why cant you just add it to this game?

In "create a club"thing when you create kits for your team they should add so many option to make a good kit . And i know they can add a few sponser shit for those kits to make it more realistic i guess.they just dont care...

The academy is fantastic, even though I was hoping for a ton of new feature additions, the new academy tab and features so far for FC25 is a great start, easily one of the most exciting things added.
The Squad Hub is fiiiiiinally fixed in terms of that scrolling like you were mentioning that. The scrolling drove me mad af lol.
A fan of the social media, big fan of that just little bit of extra immersion that I love and want more of each yr. Hopefully there’s not just 2-4 known names/organizations. I would be really cool to have the Daily Mail, start rumours if you scout a player that you’re in talks and therefor that then either helps or hurts your chances of signing them.
Women’s Career Mode! love it, I’m one of the guys that is definitely excited for this! I’ve been asking for his for a bit. I think it’ll be not only great for women’s career but it’ll add another dynamic and feature for people to play. I mean worst case you don’t like, oh well don’t use it… but there’s some of us who will and even some more who will wonder into it and it will create a new women’s league fan which is great for everyone all around.
Please bring on FIFA and pro clubs, ea career mode is still dull, these 30 features would be what could have made this game really wild and more fun in my view - let me know which ones you agree with or what I missed:
1) player transfers too boring, not like football manager where you can declare interest and try get the player to force a move or to force a player out
2) contract negotiations also very boring and too easy, could have had the praise player or speak about to try motivate the player prior to contract negotiations
3) assistant manager employment not there, so simulation or media management could be moved on to assistant manager
4) Fabrizio Romano idea is good, but why not have the ability to create conflict with him and or leak story to him to get to a player
5) why no feature to ask your representative to target clubs or an international position you want, ie: I want to be the Real Madrid manager so get your name leaked through your assistant or speak to club, same applies for the international position
6) recruitment of retiring players to coaching staff, far fetched but why not
7) stories of the club that get hyped up when you are on a cup run, or on a double or treble potential
8) celebrations of cup wins, always bland and boring
9) bombshells like a club being taken over or getting in to financial fair play problems
10) transfers should be inline with financial fair play
11) winning advertising by meeting certain targets that boost your transfer budget or same applies to retain advertising
12) recognizing a retiring player correctly
13) better ballon dor reaction and prediction exchanges with media pre and post interviews
14) conflict with rival manager
15) making player reveal much more engaging
16) creation center that allows us to upload and download creations
17) stadium creation
18) story mode should have more media engagement
19) intro in to stadiums pre match, fifa 99 and fifa World Cup 98 had a great intro to the stadium with a drone shot around the stadium
20) player celebrations - only 5 or 6 were decent, the rest were crap in fc 24, bring back the old more exciting celebrations
21) fifa 97 indoor matches was an amazing mode
22) fouls that really injure players is great when you want to get dirty, it’s not nice but it’s fun
23) fifa World Cup 2022 had the flaming ball on power shots from long distance, it’s a game, this is cool and exciting
24) you can’t score from behind the half way line, what’s the point of making games so realistic but you miss this fun and cool very realistic feature
25) player swap in transfers, why restrict it to 1 player and not multiple
26) player development in career mode is near impossible, what’s the point of scouting a 15year old who could be a 94 but by the time he is 18 he is still less than 80 while you could buy an 18yr old that’s 87 or 88 like Gavi type player or endrick
27) why not have more legends on every update that you can auto download to bring in to manager mode instead of making it restricted, there is no excitement or continuity without this
28) why don’t squad update in the game and players update stats at each point based on reality
29) why not update the feature of manager mode to have challenges in each season and scenarios that keep the seasons more engaging
30) would be nice to have legend managers such as Scolari or alex Ferguson

You are pretty much spot on about everything. There are somethings I don't really care about on your list, but hey others will.
Might I add, Fifa 09 or 10 used to have some nice features: set ticket prices, expand stadiums, get sponsors, invest in youth academy and get 75 rated teenagers straight away etc.
They seem to remove features too and bring em back like they are new 😂 they don't licencing for my club AC Milan! Shambolic! How can they let that happen. No San Siro, fake name, badge and kit. Wtf!!!
I love the youth academy in career mode. wouldn't it be to cool to the real academy players already in the youth academy when you begin the game, even if its just a few. For example as a Milan fan, having Zeroli, Liberali, Camarda, Raveyre, A. Jiménez (if they not in the 1st team already) just there in the youth academy is great!
Add Primavera and PL2 as part of the youth academy as well, when ur player gets injured they go train with u23s.

Changes like these are a real slap in the face. It shows EA knows, and probably always has, exactly what players want. But because it doesnt bring in the most money, they devote little to no time to it.
Maybe if big content creators were honest instead of being a marketing tool, it would help. But aye, someone at EA isnt complaining as they rack in over $1.6+ billion every year on ultimate team alone.

I just really hope youth players actually develop play style +’s. I played 500 hours of a manager career mode in fc24, and last week I had my first youth academy player randomly develop tiki taka+ after over 10 years into my manager mode.
Really hope we see more development in playstyles for youth academy
As i do not like press conferences in the game, I don't like a mechanic that makes them feel mandatory. I wish there was a setting to 'delegate press conferences'.

I hate that academy GKs always have trash positioning, I don't wanna shit on the new game too much, but it makes all the youth keepers so unbalanced
They need to add that players who have outgrown your club want to leave and go to a higher division. I hate the fact, that due to potential being to overpowered my team that started in a 3rd tier league becomes so good that you instantly march through the second division as you reach it
any reason why features like requesting extra funds was removed ?
id like to see a manager profile where results and experience is shown. for all the actions you do as a manager it builds up to your experience. that way bigger clubs can come for a manager because he is able to perform with tight budgets or makes a lot of profit to mention a few

I think it looks like a great improvement. EA have to make their money, but for something I will use say 300 times a year it's about 20p per day and that for the entertainment, the improvements and the immersion seems good value. Really looking forward to this and hoping for a bugless release. (Not like the Cities Skylines II mess)

What I wanted to know is, will Myplayer career mode still be only one season at the time when signing a contract, and will you still not be able to change Youth Academy player's 💇 or add tattoos for the players. And will getting a new contract in Myplayer still be as bad as we saw in EA fc 24.
100% agree with you mister. Hardcore career mode players want to change appearence of youth academy players. Hairstyles, facialhair, tattoos. They've already said that appearance will change with their age, so after 15 seasons they would all look like Captain caveman if we cant change it.
I always scout for players with different kind of hairstyles. Bun, afro, dreads, ponytale, beard etc.

Fciq is the biggest change to the game. Getting a lot closer to what FM is. Hopefully it actually comes through in the gameplay.

Cranium is huge, big W for Youth academy saves as well, I like the added social media tab and press conference + moral update and additional simulation sliders, live starting points makes it feel more fresh as you can get into a save live later on in the season.. I think I'll get the game this year after skipping EAFC 24, I'm actually excited about some additions. Ofc they could have done more but this is a step in the right direction for sure
