Great video AWOL 11, amazing film 👌👍
Some lovely shots of Finnish wood-burning locos - I could almost smell that wonderful birch smoke aroma!
Ohjea, this is hot shit. Good quality & colour film at yr 1962! 👍
Unbelievable! Very good quality for that time, I believe 1962.
Again very great content, some familiar places for me.
The locomotive on minute 7:50 is currently under restauration for steam heritage traffic.
Really special, the locomotives which burn wood or a combination of coal and wood, the Soviet freight and passenger trains.
Wood-fired steam engines 😮
❤
FYI: Finland is not a part of Scandinavia. So Nordic Railways, would have been more correct. Nice video anyway.
Most people from U.K. or central Europe, consider Finland as being a part of Scandinavia as they don't know the term "Nordic countries".
In fact the northern parts of Finlanfd belong to the scandinavian peninsular.
@@gerbilserfver It really doesn't matter what "most (un)learned people" think. Most people would also like a tax cut. As 2+2=4, Scandinavia is defined as the three countries, nothing more or nothing less.
Try Google.
Agree. Excellent video but the title should be "1960s Nordic railways" (or Finnish railways) since all the clips in this part 2 video are from Finland.
@@taavihorila3879 It is not a big deal from my side, just want to inform him. If people are in doubt, just use "The Nordics", it will do nicely.
