This reminds me when I taught my kids the Basics of Wing Chun when they were only 5 and 7, and one day they actually got into a scuffle actually punching and defending all at once and I'm telling you, it look like a kungfu movie that was choreographed, but finally ended when my daughter got on the inside and executed a double hand push and separated and the scuffle was over. I wish I caught that on film, because I was amazed how fluid 2 kids can be with there inner creativity.
People usualy expect something when they talk about kung fu. They expect to see all those things we see in KF movies. They expect to see those shaolin monk kids, trained almost since birth doing all kinds of tricks. They don't realize that to be as good as those examples, you have to start from nothing. Nobody was born with experience. To be good, it takes time, a long time. This person is showing us the "backstage" of martial arts: the learning process. Thank you for this video
Those kids are terrific... I wish i had an opportunity to learn at that age because i'd be great by now. :) If you're the teacher, I really admire the way you are teaching
The poing of teaching wing chun to kids is mainly to help them develope their body throu wing chun exercises, they work on their coordination, strenght, not to mention developing social skills they need to learn and adopt. You think about it too harsh, I got my major in sociology and I am a Wing Chun practitioner. Don't look at this from the point of martial artist but from the point of what is good for kids phisical and social developement. Regards
Liebevolle Demonstration. Gute Lehrer /innen die den Kids die Freude und Motivation vermitteln können, sind das A und O für das Erlernen einer wirksamen Kampfkunst.
Those kids are impressive by the time they turn 21 they'll be hard to beat just the fact that they can put together technique makes them good enough and sound enough...to go on....to superstardom....
Donnie Yen look out...Dennis To eat your heart out... Luca's Jik Chung Chuie is warp-speed quick... and the nose-pick was masterfully executed. He's a kung fu genius!!
Well done Luka!! Im very impressed with your kung fu mate. You are obviously very passionate about it! I hope your still practicing hard. If you keep at it you'll be an amazing kick butt kung fu superstar in no time! From Steve. NWCKFA Scarborough. :-)
such a cute kid! :) its freaky how alike he is to my best friend's brother. out of curiosity, how do you know when to balance between showing them detail e.g. in structure, in angles.. and letting them play with the motions and timing? also, at what age can they start being corrected on detail, without putting them off?
Good job! I like the way you teach: slowly, slowly, slowly but a little bit faster than before, etc etc Gradually, patiently, thats the true way to teach! Children learn better with the good way :D What lineage is this? PS- that kid seem to be very interested and "wingchunly" interesting !
such a cute kid! :) its strange how alike he is to my best friend's brother. out of curiosity, how do you know when to balance between showing them detail (to avoid bad habits) e.g. in structure, in angles.. and letting them play with the motions and timing (for their enjoyment of it)? and at what age can they start being corrected on detail, without putting them off? and doing siu lim tao very slowly?
hahaha even if he has no idea what hes doing now he will be good at wing chun in his teens and everything will come naturally, I like the end when he presents his fighting stance lol
The reason why many can't feel the backache, sore neck, shoulders & calves is because they don't know how to check for abnormality. Tip: Bend backwards as though looking up to the sky. Feel the sensation at the lower spine. U should feel tensed muscle there. The best way to feel it is to go for a massage. After the massage, all muscles are loosen, check the differences of tension before & after the Siu Lim Tau, Chum Kiu, etc. U should find muscles are tight & hurtful after the forms.
Ashton..you are sooo full of shit.. ive been practicing both Northern Shaolin and Wing Chun for over 30 years..with no ill effects, just good health.. the Shaolin is more strenuous on the body due to lower stances, leaping movements and higher kicks.. the Wing Chun in comparison is prob the easiest and lowest impact martial art as far as its stances and structure than any other martial art out there...I dont understand why u would feel empowered to make statements about Wing Chun training damaging the body.. you are such a fraud. Why dont u leave comments on MMA or juijitsu vids or crossfit vids or competitive yoga in which the training is much more risky.
Wing chun is more like a deeper style.. that requires you to relaxx and use angles is way to much to teach to a kid.. let him start with other styles like the ones I named there.. those styles will give them good tools for any martial art training in the futur.. wing chun could come later on!!!and also higly doubt any kid could defend themselfs against an adult with those wing chun moves!!!
you raise a fair point but if its so corrupt how comes i know many people who do wing chun and have done for at least 5 years and never suffered anything. Also if it would deform the body then why are there still grandmasters training at an old age ?@TheCloudXTraining
So bad, there's no wingchun gym here in Baguio City philippines.my firsttime heard of this and then I Google it ...we have instructor here in Baguio that teach us wingchun but to an open park ..so there's no warm up..were only 2-3-4 students ,some come some don't.but it's ok as long as I will learned from it.its better to have an instructor than none.if I would love to warm up,,I just go boxing in gym.😊
I done Kung fu styles and silat and all kinda styles for awhile and believe me.. I like also all this kung fu thing and training and Jacky chan and what not.. but you still have to put in question.. is this realy the best kids could train in? and will it realy help them for somthing!!!I honestly think wrestling or Judo are much well rounded styles to teach to kids to give them important basics.. instead of wing chun! thats just my opignion!
Hmm any martial arts or training is going to affect your body in different ways though. I played rugby for 3 years so i know what tight muscles feel like used to get it a lot, but how can wing chun be that bad if i am feeling no physical effect after training twice a week for a whole year ? I am much more flexible and fit sure sometimes its hard training but what martial training isn't hard?
I'm not trying to be wet blanket, but I think I've to share with the one who's taking this video. If you could, try to dissuade the school to stop the children's class. Wing Chun is a corrupted art (distorted instruction ) , those who are learning the distorted forms would have deformed body & disrupted chi. U can literally feel the sore neck, shoulders, back and calves. This is considered harmful to the kids who're still growing. If you doubt, get a medical expert to diagnose the practitioners.
Tiha VatRa then teach them real fighting i can tell your teachings are lackadaisical..kids are suppose to have fun and their parents are to ensure their saftey..wing chun should only be taught to 18 yearolds and adults..kids dont take wing chun seriously and really cant understand it..your in it for the money my dear..and btw most wing chun i see is useless in real world fighting..wake up!
The medical side effects could be: bulging disc, plantar fasciitis, tight shoulder, etc.As I mentioned earlier, I had already confirmed this fact through experiments with several Wing Chun practioners. Like you, they didn't believe when I first brought up this finding. In a summary, the contemporary Wing Chun instruction would deform the body. The reason is because they instruction is corrupted.
Kids under 12 y.o. are not mentally evolved enough for wing chun, so it is very difficult and pretty pointless to train them at that young age. In kung fu the most important part of training is understanding concepts and philosofy of a particular style, kids that are that young can't do that. You sure can teach them moves, but they wont understand why and how it's done and wont be able to adapt this move for unusual situations.
@LieutenantD0gg;you dont know what you talking about .....so just let the kids be ;),looks like they havin fun, not china ;) .... no martial art can ever teach you to fight they only teach the system .....fighting is in ourselfs your fighting spirit ,something NO ONE can ever teach you just yoo can do that ....... and let me tell how you learn "KungFu" : 1.NO THOUGHTS ABOUT WHAT YOU COULD MISS 2.NO THOUGHTS ABOUT WHAT AND HOW OTHERS ARE LEARNING 3.NO THOUGHTS ABOUT WHAT YOU REALLY WANNA LEARN
If you doubt whatever I'm typing here, get the orthopaedic specialists to perform complete medical checkup for the shoulder, neck, spine and calves. The truth will probably make you quit Wing Chun.
I have nothing against the kids.. but yeah that chain punching is lame even when performed by adults.. and besides I think wing chun is not realy appropriate for kids!!! Maybe its a style that requires more maturity and experiance in life!!! Kids should do more phyisical type of styles like Karate , wrestling , Judo , boxing and so on... since they have much more energy and endurance then adults!!!
I saw the video of the children who are doing Wing Chun, I'm just being concerned about the deformation of their bones, therefore I'm trying to advise or wan you the side-effect now, hopefully you all would stop training the kids (as they do not know what they are doing).
I can give u more detail through private message. U could message me. The strange thing is, people don't feel it because they don't know how to check it. It's the same with other medical conditions, you won't know until it becomes obvious. U can check other masters who had practised it for a long time, see how their body alignment is like after years of training. This is most obvious in Wing Chun comparing with other martial arts. I could only elaborate in inbox due to politics.
You did not teach kids about the jkd the back fist and elbow striking
🦇😎Excellent ! Excellent ! I love what you are doing with the children ! May God protect you and grant you more greatness !👍🍵🍑
