He dared to use the ignorance, arrogance, entitlement and privilege he had learned from watching female criminals in their toxic femininity. What he failed to realise is we live in misandrist toxic radical feminist times and no way it would work unless he was a woman or a transformer pretending to be a woman. This is why so many men want to be transformers to ENJOY the privileges and entitlements and special treatment women get to take for granted and stroke their over inflated egos on a daily basis. Goodbye to the male acting like a woman and enjoy prison and hopefully we eventually get equality and all your female role models will enjoy a succulent slice of equality for them to digest as they so richly deserve
Bro this detective has the most “main character” vibes I’ve ever seen🤣

Isn't that usually an insult?
@@ethor7676 I feel like "main character vibes" is a good thing, like you say it when you're sort of captivated by or drawn to someone. you just genuinely find them interesting, you know.
but if you're talking about someone and you say "oh they think they're main character" that usually means the person is acting like everyone is captivated by/drawn to/interested in them, but really no one is.

I really like how the detective uses little comments like him "not knowing anything about technology" it feels like he is trying to build the suspects ego while making himself look dumb to give the suspect confidence and make him think he can outsmart him if he can say the right things. But the whole time the detective is just getting what he needs. Definitely one of the best interrogators I've seen on UA-cam
Sometimes, extremely smart people (or people who think they are) are the easiest to manipulate because they have an inflated self-image. You have to be subtle though.
100% he was in his head
This is common in Reid interviews where if the investigator knows that the suspect’s profile involves narcissism or just an inflated sense of their own intelligence it’s often helpful to build rapport using ego boosting language to get them to open up and start talking about how smart they are (and begin slipping up)
All of his actions are calculated even the way he is siting. Avoiding eye contact, facing the wall instead of the criminal and mirroring the criminals body posture all are tactics to avoid intimidation and keep the guy talking
No matter how you twist it, a genius wouldn't talk to the police... There is nothing positive about talking to the police whether you're innoncent or guilty.

Hahaha, silence is much more powerful. The ambience of a ticking clock along with it? Absolute magic
I’d play a faint heartbeat noise, that gets faster the closer the suspect is to confessing
@bradleblanc2179 that's kinda useless, this will take longer than anything because the suspect will eventually understand what is going on and will stop talking.

Why is everyone talking about his weight? the comments on this video are toxic.
I watch a lot of interrogations, and I have to say, this interrogator is top-notch.
He's got fantastic mentalism and questioning skills.
Thanks for a great video, and you're awesome channel.
I agree that the interrogator did a good job but this had to be one of his easiest interrogations of all time. He already had a confession, there was no doubt about the guys guilt. All he had to do was get him to slip up and demonstrate that he was mentally aware of events throughout the day.
This wasn't about proving guilt it was about proving intent and making sure he couldn't try and claim a mental break and plead insanity.
The guy ended up pleading guilty to capital murder, against his lawyer's advice, and the judge sentenced life without parole. He didn't want his wife's family to have to go through the trial.
Even then his claim is that he blacked out during the event and only remembers standing in the room with the gun in the his hand and a fire going. He told dispatch that he killed his family.
If his plan was to pretend the whole time to not remember, then it seems like he wouldn't have done any of that. And he didn't end up fighting it at all. It seems like bad acting, but maybe he doesn't really remember doing the crime.
wait so no motive ?
lol that jump backwards when he said "capital murder" for the second time was just gold. He should have gone for a degree in drama or something. Pure acting talent.
He should start teaching acting classes in prison so his fellow inmates can have a future career when they’re released 😂

Dude, this detective is a very skilled interrogator. I can't imagine how difficult it is to keep your internal emotions in check when you can see that this guy is guilty as hell, and he's falling into all your traps, and at some point, you're like, "Yeah, I'm talking to someone that just murdered their entire family." Like, how do you stay cool and clinical in that situation? This guy has ice water in his veins.
No he doesn't. He has justice. That's how.
its easy for people like us with tendencies. i´m not a medical professional but i work as an interrogator in europe and many of my most successful colleagues have a similar psychological profile.
i watched all of this and i didnt hear the part where he confessed or anything. what did he even do? how is he just arrested mid interrogation?
@@nsmwdkjsbdjsjdn299they had to stop mid interrogation because he asked for a lawyer. They most likely had enough evidence to arrest him before the interrogation, plus he admitted to it on the phone. But with interrogation you can further solidify evidence and help the prosecution disprove an insanity plea (among other things).
@@nsmwdkjsbdjsjdn299 Michael killed his family and pets. He then acted like he couldn't remember what happened on that particular day. He could however remember plenty of other things and eventually even what happened that day. Also, he had called 911 confessing to killing his family, so all the detective needed was to see that Michael did in fact remember and knew what was going on.

Yes! He knew the silence would increase the guys anxiety, what a weapon per se!
It’s funny to think cops either have to act massively ignorant to get more out of the suspect or just flat out culturally illiterate
Its a way of getting people to talk. People like to educate and inform. So acting like you don't know something is often the best way to get people to talk more.
With this guy specifically, hes gotta act kinda dumb. This guy will probably get on the defensive if he felt like his intelligence was challenged.

C'mon Michael... it's murder. It's not rocket science! Someone had to have said it.
Lol, really tho, rocket science is easier to affect these days than getting away with murder.
He's cowardly
Rocket science is mostly plumbing.
The UA-camr makes several readily apparent errors, thus, given what detectives say to him at one point, I am unclear whether Missile Mike really did confess to murdering his family, or simply to fatalistic thinking over the 911 call. It seems plausible that he committed the crime with the intention of offing himself and couldn't follow through on it. Or that he had no intention of ever hurting himself but the crime was spontaneous, so reverse "engineering" a believable excuse wasn't ever in the cards.
Not to suggest he was smart enough to get away with it otherwise, but it is a comical level of incompetence given his education, if he either concocted a "plan" within minutes of his first fatality, or spent months or even years thinking about how "no one will suspect a thing."
Hard to believe a person with an IQ of 197 would talk to the police whatsoever but crazier things have happened.

@@cinematicnerd Intelligence is what you think you have, Wisdom is what you get when intelligence is not enough.
Hard to believe a person has an IQ of 197... At all... That isn't even how the quotient is presented.
IQ scores are done as a range, Not a specific numerical... Because again, It is a damn quotient lol The typical explanation is; A fraction is a part of a whole, A quotient is the number that is obtained when you simplify the fraction. An IQ score is an Intelligence quotient thus it will *never* have a specific numerical value, It is a range to represent the simplified fraction.

I'm an ER doctor. You might be surprised at how often paramedics or other medical professionals either think someone is dead when they aren't or don't notice that the patient died / stopped breathing while standing right next to them. There are various errors that contribute to this, but the two most common is a phenomena known as "anchoring bias" and "confirmation bias". Anchoring bias is a tendency to rely heavily on the first piece of information you hear. Confirmation bias is the tendency to see new information as consistent with and supportive of what you already believe to be true. It works like this. Someone is severely injured or is near death from a medical condition. A bystander calls 911 and says "I found a dead body" or "there was a motorcycle accident... ughhh... this guy is dead." The information is relayed to emergency services, who then expect to see a dead person. When they arrive, they look at the victim. Maybe he is covered in blood or has grievous injuries or appears not to be breathing. There might be some subtle signs that the victim is not dead, but these are overlooked (if he is dead, why is he still bleeding) or discounted (did I just feel a very weak pulse there? No, I think that was just my own pulse). It is very important to follow your usual procedures and to make your own independent assessments every single time. Have you ever noticed that when at doctor's office or ER, you get asked the same questions 4 times by 4 different people? Many patients see this as a sign of disorganization and get frustrated by it. The fact of the matter is that I do know what the secretary / nurse / referring physician says is going on, but I'm asking you anyway for a specific reason.
Oh, and wear a seatbelt / helmet!
Cheers, thanks! 👌
I’ve been seriously ill in hospital 5 times. I’m not sure if it’s the same with all patients but even before losing consciousness I’d get really pissed off with the incessant repeated questions and them constantly saying my name loudly. The first time it was my first episode of major blood loss and even though obviously you feel nothing but pain and sheer panic I remember trying to say “that was cool” when the female doctor used stat. I thought they just said it on tv 😂
Thank you for all that you do for people, doc. And thank you for explaining the whole ER same questions question I always wondered. I got my fake hip tattooed on me for when I need a replacement eventually, I hope yall pay attention as much as yall ask us questions. Don't want two new hips. 🤣🙏🤷♀️🤸♀️
And patients lie, no idea why but they lie all the time. Stories change drastically by the time I get to a patient. I love watching the residents’ faces when the patient give me a completely different story than they gave the resident. It really makes my day because they get so mad. 😂
A preconceived ideology is often formulated via information (regardless of validating that information or misinformation). How an individual accepts something as fact without validation can be from a number of factors. People, in general, often rationalize (perhaps what he or she wants to believe), which greatly influences the decision making. And belief is to hope for something that is just not known, whether or not it is appropriate. With the medical team being told one thing, it seems that he or she in the medical field has already subconsciously instilled a thought within them all that can affect them as a whole (conceptual Perspective-talking). The psychology of the brain and behavior is fascinating.

He claimed he didn't remember anything, and was pretending to be clueless, but never asked why he was brought in, what was going on, etc? Things any person would ask if they were truly confused. can you maybe explain me the end ? Mike sayed "i would never", i dont understand why this was a nail in the coffin like the youtube narrator says. english is not my mother language, maybe thats why i dont get it.
@DevouringKing I think you may be looking too deeply into it, honestly, and it's not really your fault.
The narrator makes it sound like Michael's reaction of "I would never [commit murder of my family]" as the ultimate reason for him finally being arrested, when Michael's whole performance (how he's speaking, how he's claiming he can't remember his day, the over-exaggerated reaction when he was told his daughter was deceased) during the interrogation was more damning than this one phrase alone. This is also ignoring all of the other evidence that was already being collected.
I feel that the narrator was just adding some extra "flavor" in order to complete the story by saying it was "the nail in the coffin" and it's just to sensationalize it a bit more.
Hope that helps! 😎👍🏻

They know how to extremely piss me tf off to the point they push me beyond sanity. Im thankful that they have eased up most recently. I don't know if I earned the break but I damn sure need it individually.
He never skipped a meal, though.
Oh my, the cowboy hat in the end did me in 😍 thank you for a video about a strikingly impressive detective
Very good detective. He is knows exactly what to ask and you can see he is calculating with his questions.
I love the fact that the detective stayed poised, not getting angry or getting in Michael's face trying to intimidate him. Great work.
You've watched way too many movies and TV shows. Sitting there and letting a criminal say as much stuff as possible is basically what they all do (unless they have evidence or are pitting criminals against each other).
@@AG-ld6rv thank you. I simply was impressed compared to other police officers trying to save tax payers money by presenting themselves as judge, jury and prosecutor. Have a nice day.
@@AG-ld6rv I've watched way too much true crime, and it's sad how many detectives come in super aggressive. Like they're playing American football instead of chess.
The one thing i really admire about the officers is the patience to listen to people like him and criminals in general, they are such professionals and im so happy that people like this officer chose this line of work to protect the vulnerable
I dont understand what he was trying to achieve acting all confused but answering every question the detective asked with pin point accuracy
Right! Was he trying to act insane? Was he trying to act oblivious? It seems like he wasn't sure which direction he wanted to go and flip flopped. Awful acting on his part. Absolutely awful. If you didn't remember anything, wouldn't you be like, "why tf am I here? What's going on?!!" Not just sitting there trying to remember what you ate... Come on, man. 😂
@@rustyglock I think his main strategy was to suggest his wife did it, but failing that, he's trying to set up some temporary insanity thing, because uninformed people mistakenly believe mental hospitals are somehow preferable to prison. They aren't. They're so much worse.
Not only that, also that he literally confessed right after it and then still acted like he didn't know. Very weird behavior
Raytheon mind f*cked him
Imagine being this detective's kid and trying to get one over on him. "So, why did I get a call from your school today?" Then he just sits there stone silent and lets you decide what route you want to take. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You would never get away with ANYTHING!
Yeah, like the one we were listening to.
I got a call from your teacher today.
Dad, I'd like to talk to a lawyer.
30 seconds in " OK Ok the silence is killing me! Say something!!! Ok ok I was talking during a test and had to take my desk in the hall and finish out there ok! Dad.....🗿
"Ok and I got a D"
😂😂
Why is John Wick interviewing Peter Griffin?
looks more like Rick from TWD
This detective has to be the most patient detective I've ever seen
Honestly the way dude is whispered the whole time pissed me off but I'm glad the detective is Gandalf the grey and told him he shall not pass
Detective Joshua Armstrong is on another level than a lot of detectives I've seen.
He plays dull cop AND boring cop, at the same time!!
The biggest lie he told was that he had started to try and work out 😂😂
I wish I could watch more interrogations by this detective. He is brilliant.
@14:11 "Heather Weber... That rhymes" 🤣🤣🤣 I don't know why but that shit had me rolling. Just the way he delivered it I think lmfao
Heather Weber is the name of a soap opera character on General Hospital. 😂😂😅😅
One of the biggest lies he told in the interrogation was saying he's been trying to work out.
12 donuts, only 2 hands, what a work out.
Ahahahahahah!!
bodyshaming and bullying like this is what lead people to suicide. And you're watching videos about criminals? you should feel disgusted for your comment.
@@bubblemagefirst day on the internet?
Lol. 😂
i cant believe how smart the detective is, using 2 handcuffs instead of one
imagine committing a crime, thinking you are gonna get away with it,.. and this fucking stone cold interrogator is there, not even looking at you. Not only that, he'll just stare at a wall waiting for you to talk, waiting for minutes, which would feel like hours. fucking hell, that man needs a raise. imagine going into a room and Rip is there lmao
I think he's looking at him just not facing him
That's why you don't say anything, and ask for a lawyer.
I think any interrogator would have gotten this guy, they swabbed him, so it’s likely they would have picked up gunshot residue on him.
damn dude. i want to watch a million more interrogations from this guy. his silence is so powerful * o *
I was quiet the whole time. It was pretty intense.
does anyone know who the detective is/if there are more videos of his interrogations? :o @@jessickalush3305
I know I hated to see it end
are there any more videos of his interrogations anywhere? :o
"Heather Weber? That rhymes" 😂😂😂 14:08
Texas Detectives are so calm and awesome to watch.
A genius would have asked for a lawyer immediately lol what a genius
Yep, a real mental giant here! 😂
Most geniuses have large egos
The investigator left his jacket on, knowing he wouldn't be in that room for too long! Watching these type of investigations makes me wonder if they specifically buy clocks with loud tickers. Either that or there's a speaker connected to the clock! Well done.
the cams likely in the clock.
Hot rooms, chairs with a shorter leg, clocks running a bit slower then normal ones, poor hydration of the suspects - all these are common interrogation tricks

The background music/hum can be quite eerie and clever, really adds to the mood.
I’m only a few minutes in, but already I can tell the sound design is really good. Not intrusive but good at setting the tone. Sometimes these scenes in isolation are unintentionally hilarious and the background music you chose helps keep the tone more consistent and serious, at least I feel so.
Here before this comment blowes up for no reason
how you edit this comment and still spelled stuff wrong?@@CRC-bn4zw
I was just thinking about this. But the music here really shapes our perspective on how to perceive the interviwee. Do you think that we would find it so obviously if the music wasn't already telling us he is guilty? Probably, but it definitely skews things. Imagine you are the interrogator. There is no music telling you this guy is evil. You have to deduce that yourself. I would like to be in his chair for the challenge. And please don't send me "Anyone could tell this guy is lying". Look at the bigger picture, Bonzo.
