- I went to China. And didn't bother with any visa. Wanna know how?
It is actually fairly simple when you have an upcoming flight within 144 hours of your arrival.
So let's explore how much we can see within 24 hours. Shanghai is a very large city, so there is much to see, so let's take it swiftly. How fast? 300 km/h! This is how fast is the maglev train that takes you from the airport. Transfering to Metro seems however like an impossible task, unless you prepare beforehand.
But still I got to visit the financial center with the Oriental Pearl and Shanghai Tower, the Nanjing street, the Bund with its beautiful views of the city's skyline and the Yu garden and the Old City of Shanghai full of classical chinese architecture.

I visit shanghai regularly, that was a long walk in the morning btw
There are many people at night. Some people have to go to work during the day and some are too lazy to go out because you can buy everything except missiles through your mobile phone at home.😃

The transportation in Shanghai is so convenient that you still have walked so much
because it took me a long time to make alipay work :D and then I actually enjoyed the walk, I got to see a lot :)

China is a great place to travel. Highly developed even in the small cities, cheap, great transit, amazing food, and clean pretty much everywhere in 2024. Hope you can come back to China and spend more time there

I used to live in Shanghai and there's a few ways to cross the river. The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel (overrated, don't do it), ferry for 2 yuan (fun when it's not cold) or 1 stop on the metro (easiest and fastest). Changing lines on the metro is extremely easy, just follow the signs. Shanghai metro is the best in the world. Enjoy!
yeah, I eventually manged to cross the river, but changin the lines in the metro is still a mystery to me :D i thought I got it, I followed the sighns to the other line and suddelny I was out of the metro system and had to buy a new ticket :D
@@LexUniversehaha that was probably b/c you are in a special station which you have to walk out of the station to change line. Most tranfer stations do not need you walk out of it.
Good you found your way to the bund and Yu garden, I was really worried that you got lost.

This is a very rough and comprehensive statement. If we continue to add the different natural landscapes and biomes provided by China, the list will be endless, because China is very large, with too many beautiful places and many beautiful cities and natural landscapes.
What is the best of all this? No matter where you go in China, as long as it is where people live, you are absolutely safe! You are free to explore!
China is safe 24 hours a day, bars and various entertainment venues are open 24 hours a day, and restaurants are open 24 hours a day! Don't worry about being shot🇨🇳

Hello, I was recommended your vlog by chance. You look a bit like the male protagonist LOL from Mars Rescue. And I wish you a happy time playing in China. If possible, you can go to Beijing or Lanzhou/Xi'an to take a look in the future. It has a long history, is very beautiful, and has the characteristics of a central city,
i would actually really like to visit Chongqing, but generally I would like to see more from historical China and more from the nature :)
and also Lhasa... that is my life long dream :)

If China wants to attract more foreign tourists, they need to allow the usage of Visa/ Master card widely. I actually downloaded Alipay and added my foreign visa as well as master card to it. It only worked the first day. After that I had to use cash. It’s really annoying but nonetheless, it was worth it.
Shenzhen is incredibly modern, clean and metropolitan. It was an amazing city. Hope China will allow the use of major credit cards soon.
it's true, that after several payments my card started to get locked and I had to always unlock it... but it was worth it for the convinience, because even finding ATMs was kinda dificult

Welcome to China. Alipay can be bound to overseas credit cards. Then you may scan QR code in any scene in any cities of China, or taking the subway or bus.
yes, I know now :) I tried WeChat first, but I couldn't bind it to my card, but Alipay made my life so much easier :) It is actually amazing how you can go to the smallest little shop and still be able to pay cashless... )

well, the it is a lot more colourful that everyone shows it... and very clean and people are quite helpful even though they spoke very little english, it wasn't dificult to get by on the most basic level :)
and also that my european debit card was next to useless :D

what other places would you recommend? :)
I would recom'd somewhere in southern part of china such as li jiang in yunnan province or guilin in guangxi province but the prerequisite would be you need to know some chinese coz these places are not very international you know what i meant@@LexUniverse

很多老外的第一站都是上海，上海很好，可是中国还有更多更有特色的城市或地方，比如杭州，四川，呼伦贝尔，西藏，义乌，云南大理等等，这些地方相比上海来说，上海只是个巨大的现代化都市，并没有什么可玩性。
上海很适合当老外来华的第一站，有传统的也有现代的，好似欧洲的伦敦巴黎，中国太大了，不好好规划行程会很容易花费太多时间
