"He passed over Dor-nu-Fauglith like a wind amid the dust, and all that beheld his onset fled in amaze, thinking that Oromë himself was come: for a great madness of rage was upon him, so that his eyes shone like the eyes of the Valar. Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth to single combat. And Morgoth came." "Therefore Morgoth came, climbing slowly from his subterranean throne, and the rumour of his feet was like thunder underground. And he issued forth clad in black armour; and he stood before the King like a tower, iron-crowned, and his vast shield, sable unblazoned, cast a shadow over him like a storm cloud. But Fingolfin gleamed beneath it as a star; for his mail was overlaid with silver, and his blue shield was set with crystals; and he drew his sword Ringil, that glittered like ice."
This song, in particular, makes me son angry at Feanor and his sons for not pulling their heads out of their ass and join forces with Fingolfin and his kiddos… they would have steam rolled Morgoth and even the balrogs. But noooooo, it had to have happened like this so we can get one of the most amazing stories ever written. Ever.
This Blind Guardian dvd, imaginations throught the looking glass is the best. a 2 day festival organized by the Band blind Guardian, just so they could make this dvd. they tried many times at festivals to record and film a show, but always something went wrong, so they opted to organize the whole thing themsleves. this dvd is from day 2 of the festival, the ones who paid the tickets also had a huge part in creating the setlist, via the Blind guardian site. this is also the last show with he beast, the myth and legend on the drums Thomas "Thomen" Stauch
Hansi Kürsch, definitely one of the best and most distinctive male voices in metal. While some call Tuomas from Nightwish "Metal Mozart", Hansi is referred to as "The Bard" because of his story telling abilities. Founded in 1984, Blind Guardian are counted as pioneers of Power Metal. They used to play Speed Metal in their early days but then changed their style and became one of the most influential Power Metal bands. "Nightfall" is another great song from this album ("Nightfall in Middle-Earth", a concept album inspired by J.R.R. Tolkiens book "The Silmarillion").
Hello、massage from japan.🇯🇵 This band has ambience of European classical music.🎵 It is so beautiful and tasteful. Thank you for amazing live video and wonderful reaction!!
The Album "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" is from 1998 already iirc. The show for the DVD was recorded in 2002, iirc, the release was already 2003. And yes, you should check out more from Blind Guardian. "Mirror Mirror" from Nightfall stands to reason...
Reacting to one of my all time favourite bands? Hell yeah, glad to see Guardian getting some love, they're amazing, there new song blood of the elves is so good! They haven't missed a beat, hope you check that out sometime. 💜
Oh, *that* - I got the DVD ever since it came out in 2005 (a Digital Versatility Disk - can you imagine?!) 😁. Mr. Kürsch with long hair is *'so* retro by now😂. Check him out in Demons and Wizards at some point. Best regards Raoul G. Kunz
I was there....all the two days...camping etc....it was so much fun...I saw you made a reaction from the Bard`s Song and Valhalla (Wacken)...you should better have done the reaction from this Festival in Coburg ;)
Hansi Kursh got together with Jon Schaeffer from Iced Earth and formed a side band called Demons and Wizards. Awesome Hevy metal with the galloping guitars and Hansis amazing vocals.
04:08 Any other band should be proud to have a chorus sung back at them by the audience. For Blind Guardian that is just how playing live is. Every word from every song sang back at them all the time. They are anthem making machines.
So many of their song are those "anthem" types youre talking about. You should react to more from this show, its amazing. Punishment Divine or The Script for my Requiem would be incredible.
If you guys would ever care to do a studio version of what I consider one of their greatest songs, musically, lyrically and singing wise…. Try “The Curse of Feanor”. This song is intense and even Hansi refrain to perform it live because it’s a fuckimg beast of a song to sing.
Yeeees this is from the Album Nightfall in Middle Earth Masterpiece Inspired by Tolkien'S Lord of the Rings . From the beginning , whom you should listen to , it conquer the listener i think . I have the very Album and it was pretty exaltating back then 🧜♀️ . Yeee King Tra this vocalist is Great . He is very recognizable . The beginning of the Album itself was Fire . You should check out : In To The Storm after the Intro . All the double bass it's pure controtempos
No, it's inspired by Tolkien's The Silmarillion, which covers the events of the first and second age of Arda, including the beginning of time and space, assistance of Elves, men and dwarves... wars with Morgoth... Numenor and the men of the west, Sauron, etc
BG live is just crazy good. Maiden and Nightwish might be at the same level live, but other than those 2 bands, I don`t know one that can pull a better live show than BG!
The one and only Hansi Kürsch…one of those voices you can clearly hear out of 100. 🤘🏻
Oh yeah, Blind Guardian are just awesome.
Blind Guardian and Hansi Kürsch - no other words are needed! Just absolutely amazing!!

Yes, The Silmarilion.

Ever.
Praise our king 🤘! Praise my king 🤘! Praise king Fingolfin 🙏!

Thank you for the badass reaction to a badass song!
power metal band that have been number one for me in this style since I heard them and nowadays
One of the best XXIst century metal bands. They blast with huge talent.
Except they started in the XX th century and had great success there already. ;-)
awesome power metal
Hansi is the Freddy Mercury of Power Metal, you should listen to punishment divine, where he actually showcases his skill. Nice Reaction btw.

If you still have your voice at the end of a Blind Guardian concert, you aren't doing it right!
Hansi Kursh got together with Jon Schaeffer from Iced Earth and formed a side band called Demons and Wizards.

@@rogeriopenna9014 yes yes it's true you are right !
Blind Guardian are so insanely good live, in fact sounds better live than studio. You should listen to the whole dvd.
This Festival was incredible. 2 days, and Blind Guardian Headliner on both days. Too bad the plans for a second own festival canceld
the bards song and valhalla from this show is still the best to this day
You need to do The Final Resistance by Dark Tranquility if you love this!
BG live is just crazy good. Maiden and Nightwish might be at the same level live, but other than those 2 bands, I don`t know one that can pull a better live show than BG!
We already have really good bands here in Germany
I dare you! Come out! You coward, now it's me or you
Ice nine kills Funeral derangements check it out !
Ice nine kills=the box
Have you done any Blind Channel reactions yet ? Maybe song Balboa would be nice or Anastacia cover Left outside alone.
