This fixed my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek. Thanks very much for the video! The dealer tried to get $3000 from my wife for three sensors, turned out this single fuse fixed the whole problem. This was the Little Rock AR dealer that we bought the car from, and it had under 50k miles at the time, which was under the warranty miles.
Swapped out the fuse and the lights are no longer illuminated. Thanks for saving me time and money! You Rock!!!
Mate!! I had P0031 and P0037. O2 and fuel mix sensor. Subaru dealership here said I needed two new sensors costing around $1500. They said they checked fuses too. 2 years later, still check.engine light on,.found.your video. Located that black.fuse box and low and behold!! The 3rd fuse was fucking missing!! Replaced it, cleared faults with my cheap scanner tool and POW! Faults gone! Those fuckers were going to rip me off. I bet they knew that the fuse was missing too. I've since given them a very scathing review!
What kind of scanning tool or brand so I can buy that?

Saved my life. Was going to buy a new Sensor but went to check the fuse on my 2016 STI and was the fuse #9 from buttom to top that was blown. Replaced it, clear the code and problem solved. Thanks for the info.

What caused the fuse to blow? At that point, you need to check your wiring and check the 02 sensor. They do not just blow for no reason. That pre heater is exactly what it says. If its blowing fuses again, you have a short somewhere. The sensor its self may be bad.I have found the wires chewed right off by chipmunks. I have seen them ripped off by ice or snow under the vehicle that have pulled the wiring down. had someone simply plugged the cheap wire holder back in.

Could this work for a 2005 wrx Sti? I’ve replaced the sensor twice and I took it to the dealership and they said all they could do is replace the sensor
this fixed my issue as well.. shame on Subaru for trying to charge me 2k for swapping the sensors with a new one

I'm guessing the paperclip and new computer never fixed the problem on the Lexus with a P0018 code? It most likely had stretched timing chains or some other cam/crank issue, just as the code suggested right? I'm also guessing it didn't work to reprogram the keys either right?...Did you fry the new computer too, after you connected the paperclip to the wrong pins (5+13) even after you showed which pins it should connect to?😂..The OBD connector was upside down from your diagram..lol🤔😂

Did this. Didn't work at all. Replaced a couple sensors but still hasn't gone away. Same codes pop up but I've replaced everything related to the code. This problem can be complex. Glad it worked for you though.

2004 Subaru Forester X the scan tool won't clear some of the codes for a second depending on the conditions.

I have a 2006 Suburu Impreza R with a 2010 Impreza engine in it. It’s throwing the code P0031 (heated O2 sensor circuit low bank 1 sensor 1). I’ve tested the harness for power with the ignition on and gotten 12.8 V and then the resistance on the sensor with a reading of 2.2 Ohms. What else could be causing the problem? It’s driving me nuts. The engine struggled for power under 3K rpm in 1st-3rd gear. I reset everything and cleared the code to see if it did anything and now the car is running like it’s brand new, the P0031 code is back as a pending code however it’s no longer causing a CEL on the dash. What other diagnostics can I do?

Did you ever find a solution? Similar problem I'm having. Pulled the engine on a 2010 SOHC 2.5 and now I have P0031. Replaced the sensor.. checked fuses.. checked power to the sensor. checked resistance on the sensor.. all checks out yet there is still a code
@@sfd50 Sold it but the new owner said the code went away as the connection wasn't plugged in all the way. I'm not sure I believe it but perhaps it wasn't!

It could be your fuel Tank Cover that needs to replace ...

I have a 2006 Subaru out back that I have replaced the #1 02 sensors twice. I use a scanner and turn off the code and it stays off for one to two weeks, but eventually comes on again. Sometimes the engine light just goes off by itself. I also remember seeing another post where if you change the battery on a Subaru you need to change a fuse. I guess I will check my fuses. Anyone had a similar situation and a fix? Thanks for your post.

It's the fuse, under the dash there's two fuse blocks, a tan one and a black one. Three fuses up from the bottom of the black fuse block is the one to check on this car and it could be blown
