I was looking for a new bread machine, and this one caught my eye, but I'm used to a bread machine that doesn't need sugar to work, or ingredients put in certain order. So thanks for the heads up. I will steer clear
This works well. I have searched the web for recipes ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxEf52Yn9PpTLKua_uvi5Ams4pIDINER52 There are a few in the pamphlet, but I am ready to explore. NOTE: Once you hit start, don’t mess with it or the dough will not rise. Learned that the hard way.
Hi. Why you don’t use the rules book 📖???Why you put the yeast first??? The book says you have to put yeast last in the yeast dispenser? It’s the book wrong and you’re right? Please respond otherwise I will throw the book in the bin if you’re right.
@@elainewilliams4201 Yes it has! Why do you say it hasn't?! I can see it is the same model I have - with yeast dispenser in the top as Stefan says above
I was going to ask the same question - it looks like the breadmaker that she is using is the one that I have and that does have a yeast dispenser so not sure what’s going on here
@@toriasummers2670 My SD253, a popular model, has no separate yeast receptacle. Janet said her demo would cover Panasonic breadmakers, not a particular model, so it would confuse things for owners of models other than the one shown here if the individual features of any particular model were to be highlighted.
People, the video is from 2012 and the model is probably an SD-2511, so even when Leyi Wang posted it was 4 years old. The dispenser you see in the lid is for nuts or fruit to be added during the last kneading cycle not for yeast, in those machines you add ingredients exactly as she demonstrated.
I just bought the SD_YR2550 Im using preset 1 basic bread but I find the baking time of 4hrs is not enough. How do u do additional baking, couldnt find instruction in manual Thanks
Any chance of a video covering gluten free bread? I know the ingredients are placed into the machine in a different order to regular bread, but it would be good to watch it in a video
Panasonic recipe book clearly states YEAST LAST. Why is it being put in first? After two failed attempts (bread now thrown out), I feel like giving up. All ingredients correct (white strong bread flour) and measured carefully. What's going wrong. Do Panasonic check this video - please explain why yeast is first.......
Did you figure it out? If not I can probably answer your question, as I've been using my current machine for over a year without issue. I put wet ingredients in the pan first, then dry, with yeast last as you said. That's also the order I used with my previous 2 machines.
Ignore this video, Panasonic clearly don’t know how to use their own machine. Follow the instruction book. Yeast in the dispenser, water should be at room temp, or slightly warmer. You need to measure out the ingredients for the size of loaf you require, so choose medium, large, or Xlarge before starting, and follow the measurements in the book.
I live in Australia and have just purchased a panasonic bread maker, watching the video i noticed the yeast was added to the pan, on mine there is a place on the lid to add yeast, this machine looks like the one i purchased ?
Hi Christine; see the thread above. Older Panasonics have no dedicated yeast dispenser so you add dried yeast directly. It's important the salt and yeast stay separate until kneading begins. I like to place the water, oil, _2 tsp. lemon juice,_ salt and milk powder into the pot. I then add the flour, any other ingredients and finish with the yeast. That works for me! Recent poor harvests mean 'strong' flour can be low in gluten but lemon juice really helps the loaf rise.
Yeast dispenser?? why the yeast in first? you stress the importancy of accuracy but you don't give any measurements...."some sugar, some salt, a knob of butter". frustrating but I'll figure it out some other way
If you're still watching Sissi I think the yeast dispenser is used when you use the delay function. If you bake without any delay then putting the yeast in the bin first is OK.
Put bread flour in so that it just covers up to top of paddle. Add two teaspoon salt and mix into flour. Add three tablespoons oil. Into one pint warm water add one teaspoon of sugar and one heap teaspoon of Allinsons yeast and mix it up. Pour into machine, set to basic rapid and that’s it. No fuss and to be honest I never really measure. Perfect every time. No need for all the usual crap and faffing around.....
Why the awful irritating distracting music -- terrible for people with hearing difficulties. I find the buttons on the machine extremely confusing, and the video does not show in detail exactly which buttons to press when, e.g. to get a medium sized loaf, baked with lightest crust. Things were much clearer on the older model, which I've had to replace. On this machine the buttons are totally mysterious in their behaviour.
Homemade sourdough bread in the bread maker For the basic program of 500g flour, 4 hours ⁃ A 200g sourdough poolish (recipe below) ⁃ Organic flour 400g ⁃ Water 300g ⁃ Oil / butter 6g (optional) Put all the ingredients in the bowl and start the bread maker, it will do the rest 🙂 4 hours later you will have delicious bread that will give you health and energy. Sourdough poolish: ⁃ 25-30g sourdough ⁃ 100g of flour of your choice (pure wheat or mixture) ⁃ 100-110g water Mix all the ingredients, leave to work in a container three times the size, covered, for about 8 hours.
This is so confusing and unprofessional. It's put out by the maker and yet says to add the yeast first instead of last like the manual; and it doesn't even mention whether the water is room temp or warm. Talk about a worthless video!

How to make gluten free bread in one easy step.
Step 1) Don't make bread.
do you use cold water
so when do you remove the paddle, else it will be in the loaf??

Any beer bread recipes?
What’s the ratio for replacing butter with olive oil please?
I raised the same question, but it seems its a "one way street" with no questions answered! Shame
@@gordonspicer try Google, I think it’s 20 ml of oil for 20 grams of butter

LOL, Panasonic UK, don't know their own products? :D
My bread after 4hrs just looks like dough
You need to plug it in to the electric socket
Stop that loud stupid music it spoiled the video
