My Analogue Duo is coming in the mail soon. Looking forward to getting it. I have a lot of nostalgia for the Genesis and the Atari 2600, but the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 has become a huge love of mine.
I'm surprised by the Analogue Duo because I thought it wasn't a bad thing? per say I think it was nice to do something new. It's like a *back in time* machine! :) Great Video Skul!
The hilarious part about the jailbreak is that the only people who could release it are analogue themselves and they’re doing it as this “mysterious” thing so nobody sues them for promoting illegal use of ROMs
Krizz has said that the Turbo Everdrive is not compatible with the Analogue Duo. Try Castlevania Rondo of Blood fan translation & if you like old school JRPG’s can’t go wrong with Y’s series. Side scroll shooters Salamander or R-Type Complete.
Hopefully they get a good firmware update out for it during this year that fixes up everything, I'd personally like to see a new GUI and better save options. As for recommendations that aren't the obvious: Image Fight (Shooter) World Heroes 2 (Fighting) Out Run (Racing) Shinobi (Arcade Beat 'em Up) Bomberman '94 (Arcade Strategy) Power Golf 2 (Sports) Dungeon Master (Dungeon Crawler/R.P.G.) Beyond Shadow Gate (Point & Click Adventure)
No, it is not good. The sound doesn't sound as it should on the Analogue Duo. The volume is low even if you crank it up to make it loud. Also, the saves states are not working with Hucard Roms when using the Turbo Everdrive Pro... Even the analogue Pocket has settings to fix the sound problem on the PCE core. And the Pce mini even sounds better than the Analogue Duo. So those who are thinking of buying the Duo or Turbo Everdrive Pro and using it with Roms. Better buy the PCE mini or use the Analogue Pocket, the Mister or whatever. What is the point of playing PCE on the Analogue Duo with an audio level that sounds low no matter how much you crank it up. One of the great things about PCE games is the music. If they don't fix this with a firmware update. That is the end of analogue for me. I am not gonna buy their products any more...
@@HollowRick Nope, it doesn't look like they plan on fixing the sound issue. I contacted support and they said they fixed it with the last firmware update, but the last firmware didn't fix the low volume issue... I came up with a workaround, plugging in speakers in the microphone jack in the console, that way, it sounds better
@@Maxwell_2023that isnt a microphone jack, it's a headphone jack. mic = input, headphones = output on my stereo, the duo sounds great, if you're running it straight to a TV and using the TV speakers, I could see where the audio might be shitty
@@joesaiditstrue Yes, I expressed myself incorrectly, I meant a headphone jack. Originally, I connected the duo directly, with the HDMI connection, to the TV (no speakers), and the sound was way too low. This means using the tv speakers, without adding external speakers. But as I said when I connected the speakers to the headphone jack the sound was better because my speakers are good. But the point is, connecting the duo directly to the TV, using the TV speakers, should sound better. Users like Metal Jesus have mentioned that the sound is half the one compared to the original hardware. My pce mini sounds even louder than the Duo when connected directly to the TV...
@Maxwell_2023 Hi Sir, I met the same volume problem like you, I also sent email to ask analogue duo support, he only tell me to upgrade the firmware, I'm still not yet upgrade, have you upgrade your firmware? and the problem also solved? what's your current firmware version now? thanks!

I wish the cd drive was better and more like the pc engine duo. Where it open it. They should allow 3do and Sega cd
Huh, I had a similar problem using a TG16 8bitdo controller with my 3DO BT wonder if firmware is also a problem there.

Did you try formatting the flashcarts sd card to FAT32?
Anyone else having issues with Shapeshifter? Load time before you get the Play prompt is like 2 minutes on my duo
They brought the Octo gear 300 bronze scales

Get a retron 5 or a retrofreak instead
It's still not great
