I so appreciate how you connect what's happening in the Book of Mormon with traditional Hebrew practices (10 Oh Lords etc.). God IS the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

That was awesome. I loved how you used your expertise in law to understand what korihor was giving an excuse of his actions. I never noticed that before.

Korihor taught an ancient version of Marxism. His arguments were these: 1) There is no God. 2) Because there is no God everything devolves into power and whoever can get it through their genius or management skills. 3) The Nephite society was built by men who laid down institutions, social structures, and beliefs that were calculated to keep them in power and keep others in oppression and exploitation. 4) Korihor was there to raise the people’s consciousness to the fact that they were not free, but rather they were really in bondage to these men and the institutions that they set up. 5) Coming to a consciousness of their bondage was the first step to their freedom. 6) Korihor was there to Liberate them and call them to a revolution against the societal norms and institutions.
This is a perfect description of Marxism. Interesting that you brought up President Benson. He saw the warning against Marxism and Critical Theory in the Book of Mormon and he spoke out against it. Critical Theory is still one of the biggest threats of our time and it is growing in the Church and Church schools. Some are starting to realize this.

Last week i taught my primary class about the anti-nephilehis! i loved your thoughts about what "anti" means and what Hugh Nibley had to say. Now we are talking about Korihor being anti Christ. how do i explain to my kids that now anti means against????

Any chance the Rameumptom was built in a repurposed temple or something? The text says “13 For they had a place built up in the center of their synagogue.”
Just makes me wonder because the setting for Alma to pray for the day of atonement and the possible prayer circle among the missionaries would be very fitting at the temple.

I can’t help but see more connections to the day of atonement in this chapter. The Rameumptom being a “holy stand” that would only “admit one person” and where they were “separated, “elected,” or “chosen.”
Really sounds like the holy of holies where only one high priest could enter. The holy of holies with the mercy seat holy stand. We know “anointing” is to be separated and chosen. Of course their practices were corrupted, but sounds like echos of the day of atonement.
Perhaps Alma or Mormon were setting up the day of atonement symbolism. That’s why Korihor being a scapegoat, the 10 fold repetition of Gods name, and the prayer circle were also included?

I think about 3 and the Important meaning of numbers for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
    3 is a good number.
    Third Anti Christ
Good to weed out some week one yet bring them back with stronger Testimonies.
Strengthen us today when we ourselves come up against Different types of adversities.
For all ,must be able to gain strength and understanding not of our own ,but relationships with relationships with Scriptures in them are Jesus Christ teaching ❤️ and way home.
Pathway home narrow and few will be on this path.
But whenever I think about the magnitudes of those who have lived ,are living, and will be living, Then the Thousand Years Rein
"FEW" ,means a couple of things...
I think it's always sad whenever someone turns away from Our Church.
Or anything to do with Jesus Christ 🙏 13:49

What is the difference between the anti in anti Christ and the anti in anti nephi lehi's? How do we as readers tell the difference? I know you said that the anti in anti nephi lehi's was a word for joining...

I love your presentations but it gives me pause every time Jack says “I’m Jack Welch”. It makes me think of the Jack Welch of GE fame (who I didn’t think much of).
