Great questions and conversation! :D
Your questions are really thoughful and the effort you've put in shows in the interviews, I'm hitting that sub button.
Zendaya and Timmy are so funny in these interviews
Jason momoa got so excited to see his quote on the back of the movie and it truly shows what a great guy he is.
So excited to see his gorgeousness!
Didn’t realize anyone in the story was Polish.
@@nhmooytis7058 me either never even heard of the book but I’m still excited
@@nhmooytis7058 Polish?
Timmy is more confident now
Probably the best interviewer of all time.
*After Kevin McCarthy and Ali Plumb, naturally ~*
Him and that English guy are amazing
But what of Sean Evans?
@@khanyangabase691 he’s amazing too
Timothée is so well spoken and deliberates his thoughts and feelings so beautifully, It's actually insane
what a great cast like literally everybody is so wonderful and funny? hoping we can see them all return for part 2.
Not Momoa, lol

I've been watching Jake's interviews for years. This guy is a tremendous interviewer and a real people person. Always asking the right questions. Can't wait to see this movie. There will be a part 2!
Total agreement
I totally agree. My goodness this interviewer is incredible. He is just as gifted at his craft as the people he interviews.
Is he the guy who Sam L. Jackson almost got cancelled?
TIMOTHÉE AND ZENDAYA >>>>
yes
Yes Great Friends
Nooooo. Not a couple. Zendaya is now an engaged young lady. Zendaya is more like a Sister/ BFF to Timothee. Timothee is a BFF to Zendaya. Such respect. Such friend-zone love. ❤❤
Only 3 minutes in and already this interview is absolutely fantastic! The questions are so unique and specific, and as a result we get stuck thoughtful answers from the cast!
Jake is a GOAT for shouting out MGS and telling Oscar he should play both Liquid & Solid.
Timothee and Rebecca really awed me with their acting range.
This man doesn't skip a beat. Solid interview.
Stellan and Rebecca out here reppin the Swedes 👏🏻
And don't forget that Rebecca's mother is British 🇬🇧
@@delrey874 And her mother's roommate was born in Canada?
She amazes me. Such a great mind
I´ve loved your interviews for years. Even since before you were dancing with Angelina, and getting a junket-girlfriend.
But your interview with Rebecca Ferguson was one of the best conversation i´ve seen ever. Like you said.. "holy shit what a conversation".
Thank you for what you do Jake, and for the man you are. Please keep up the good work you do.
It is a good conversation and it's one some fanboys are always gonna whine about and get in their feelings over but let the discourse roll.
2:58 - "Polish comes from the cities, wisdom from the desert". Fun fact: Frank Herbert took this dialogue from the 1960 book "The Sabre of Paradise", where it originally said "Polish comes from the city, wisdom from the hills". Frank Herbert borrowed heavily from this particular book!
"Sabres of Paradise" is certainly an often overlooked influence / source when it comes to Dune.
Stellan saying he just has to be fucking evil cracked me up😂
Everyone tells him that he is asking good questions. Great great job
For years now
What a refreshing interview. I’ve watched every Dune interview and this is one of two that asked unique questions. And the interviewer is enthusiastic and genuine. I believe him that he likes the book. Great job.
Finally I see Stellan Skarsgård ( Baron Harkonnen )get interviewed for Dune
Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Irulan. There is no other option.
Either Anya or Thomasin Mckenzie would be my top picks for that roll
She's so crazy beautiful and oddwordly looking.
Saoirse Ronan
I say she'd play Paul's sister Alia better
I like how each actor (and Jake) all dropped at least one F bomb in these interviews.
It was kind of funny.
Zendaya: "it was me."
Tim: *nervously sips expresso thinking of Bella as Zendaya
Please stop writing fan fiction in the yt comments 😀🖐
Omg yes my thoughts exactly.
Friends navigating attraction while trying to avoid potential coupling publicity. It is great when strict boundaries are pierced in some way that was one of those times
19:04 that's a spot on description of the Baron by Skarsgard. Even though the Baron is big and evil and intimidating, for some reason I always imagined his movements to be very smooth and feminine
Can we just appreciate how gret Stellan Skarsgård is in this movie? He does the best eye acting in cinema, and his version of the baron is more subtle and scheming, a quiet evil. Every single one of his scenes were great.
Jake my man, been a fan since I saw your Mission Impossible Fallout cast interviews, and I'll repeat what I said on that video. You're a charismatic guy, but also your questions are so damn good and lead to such interesting discussions with the cast. Most interviewers, charming as they may be, just stick to the more standard questions like "What was your favorite part? Did anyone play pranks on the set?", so to hear actually thought-provoking questions is a breath of fresh air. Great interviews as usual!
Also you telling Oscar about MGS makes me excited to hear you get to sit down with him whenever that movie comes out.
Can't wait for this movie, release it already!!!
oh, whoops i saw it, it's amazing.
AHHH I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Jake, you are such a great interviewer! Love your questions, your sincerity and chemistry with all the cast members!!!
This was an awesome interview for an awesome movie. It was especially awesome to see Stellan Skarsgård get to react to what a fan thought of the book & movie and I’m glad you did get catch Javier Bardem. Awesome interviews! 💯
Dune combines the best aspects of guerilla filmmaking, visual storytelling, literary storytelling, mythology building, visual technology, sound technology to made it work and worked really well
Rebecca Ferguson is always brilliant. Love her!
The chemistry 👌✨
Great interviews! Really awesome questions. I’m so hyped for this movie!
This interviewer is so good - love the questions
I got to meet Rebecca in New Orleans two weeks after Doctor Sleep cane out. She is such a great person, I scared her approaching her, but she still was happy to take a picture with me. I think she was surprised someone recognized her. Also, unbeknownst to her, she was literally my lock screen wallpaper at that exact moment, it was so surreal.
Damn Jake, you are the man for churning through these interviews! You fit so much cool shit in so little time. Congrats, bro!!!
Another great one. Well done on the interviews, Jake!
amazing interviews, i would advice to try not to focus on spoiler talk especially on the fate of some chars. or at least edit in a way to put all those discussions altogether. dune must be enjoyed by everyone not only the book fans
Fantastic questions as always Jake! Everyone was so at ease and happy to talk, what a great series of interviews!
Very very good questions, loved this and thank you!!!
Chapterhouse Dune is pretty much all powerful female characters
Thats what im saying, they guide humanity through collapse and all govt bodies manipulate people realistically
@@sorryforwhat1528 yeah totally- can’t judge it on the first book of the series- the women characters are just as relevant and Jessica is kind of the main instigator of book 1
Who gives a fat crap.
Great interview questions, enjoyed listening to this.
Awesome interviews & great questions, Jake! You crushed it and wow what an insightful 23:45
Found this channel with the Picard Season 3 Interviews, which were really great by the way. Dune is my love though so it's awesome to see a passionate interviewer for such an amazing rendition of Dune on screen. You have awesome questions and an amazing report with guests. Definitely will look for future interviews here. Well done 👍
Thank you for the kind words, Dustin!
I'd had offered The Bene Gesserit's "Missionaria Protectiva" as pushback to Rebecca's assertion that women in the DUNE novels aren't in the room making real powerful decisions.
Is not the situation that she has not actually read the novels, but apparently knows how women in novels are depicted?
Rebecca Ferguson in Empire magazine: "When I eventually started reading the book, I found it so complex and difficult, I didn't finish it."
Sounds quite typical: I do not know what I am talking about, but I still have strong opinions about it like I had a clue.
really great interview 🙌🏽
mate, you are the BEST interviewer in the GAME!!!
Great interview. The actors were very relaxed and it was nice to see them. Thank you Jake.
The questions are amazing, congratulations!
Damn. Jake is very good at what he does. Great questions.
love this cast :’)
People hating on Rebecca didn't even see the movie yet. She was AMAZING!
I am so excited for this movie dude, I'm going to see in the theater and on HBO Max, 😂
you the man Jake!
i love this cast
Brilliant interviewer. Great questions.
Saw the film yesterday loved it amazing experience. Jake is a great interviewer i remember the first time i saw him do interviews for movie stars was Inglourious Basterds.
"Stillness and silence is like honey" my boy Timothee is talking in silk
omg timothée. that's it.
Brilliant questions, Jake. Absolutely excellent interviews!
Great interview, thanks!!
this cast is so iconic
Can't wait to see part 2. Javier will be so much more in it.
amazing interview!
I can't believe how much spoiler material there is out there without warning. I know the story from the books already, but the trailer makes it easy to figure out what happens with a certain betrayal, and they openly talk about a huge plot point in this interview
Your Interviews are incredible. Great questions!!!!
I’d love to watch this twice in a cinema, alas; I’m Australian
hope everyone goes to the theatre or somehow financially contributes to dune's profits. cause we gotta have a sequel! it would kill us something so amazing not continued.
I was hoping for a mention of MGS and you didn't disappoint.
This guy asks very good questions. Great journalism and framing.
New to this channel. I really have to say I love the questions you ask everyone. Like, you really get into the meat and potatoes of it all and cut through all the bullshit that usually makes its rounds in press junkets. Subb'd
best interview ever
Loved Jason interview at the end The guy is a boss
What a top interview with really interesting questions. Wish you had more time with the cast and I'm gonna hit the subscribe button :-)
Missed you in Venice Jason! Get well soon!
Awesome interview! Much respect.
I don't agree with Ferguson's "not good enough" comment on Herbert. Someone should tell her about the all-female army in God-Emperor of Dune, and females being the main and dominant protagonists in later books (and even ruling large chunks of space).
I'm a huge fan of Herbert but there are most certainly sexist aspects to the series. It's way ahead of its time and overall does a great job with female characters, but no, it's not perfect. Nothing is. It's okay to critique even the best things. It's not meant to be insulting.
@@heatherbukowski2102 Feudalistic empire at the start of the first book is definitely sexist, and classist, even cast-like. But Herbert definitely wasn't. We see the breakdown of patriarchy as the series moves along.
@@arnorrian1 I'm not talking about Herbert, just the his book; you can write about things you don't necessarily agree with. I need to read the others to be able to participate in the rest of the discussion! I hope to find time, soon.
@@heatherbukowski2102 You should. Paul's story is just a prelude. He is ultimately a failure and a coward. It was his and Chani's son, the God-Emperor, that had to undo Paul's mess, and then sacrifice himself to secure the future of Humanity. Understanding the facets of the Golden Path is to truly understand Dune series.
@@arnorrian1 the only sexist example i could say is the use of concubine, but if anything it just adds to the characters in my opinion and well feudalism is an interesting setting to create
Jake, no matter who you make an interview with I always enjoy your questions more than the answers. And that says a lot. Keep up the stellar work man! P.S. I can not wait for MGS movie.
You are an Amazing interviewer!!
J found ur page. Idk how u don’t have more subscribers. Loved the video ur great at what u do
so deep questions, amazing!!
hahah jason and the tissue paper, he's a MAESTRO! COOL GUY
all amazing interviews and great questions dude
great questions jake
excellent interview. thanks!
I don’t really understand Rebecca’s issue with the novel’s portrayal of women. By her own admission, she still hasn’t read the book so I don’t really know what she is basing that on, but what I gather from her comments is that she doesn’t appreciate that women “aren’t in the room for the big decisions,” but isn’t this the point? It’s a feudalistic patriarchy run by men, but women adapted to control events in their own way (bene gesserit).
Yeah and Jessica’s actions-her choice to rebel-is the only reason the story happens.
@@justareader____ the whole concept of the bene geresuit is very not sexist, no? They guide humans through societal collapse
@@sorryforwhat1528 never said it was sexist, just mentioning Jessicas actions
Alia gains power in messiah aswell so women are portrayed as rulers in somewhat kind of way
I think she's putting on a woke show like so many modern people do for brownie points. It's unfortunate & makes them look ignorant. I like Rebecca a lot anyways, but I can tell there are things she says that are kinda performative. The way she dresses & the wokeness hint at codependent patterns. Her clothes wear her, which hints at pandering to designers. She seems sweet but a lot of people in Hollywood have no sense of self & go along with the crowd to have friends.
You are always very, very good, Jake, but this was really great!
I'm going to see it at the movie theater just for Rebecca 😲
Exactly my thought
The Desert Fathers emerged from their solitude with wisdom that they passed on, so the quote is quite apt.
Javier Bardem with the blue eyes in Dune looks like Oliver Reed.
You make such good questions
There will be a part 2 if we all see this at least 2 or 3 times. Let’s goooo
Ferguson is my hall pass!
Goat for bringing up the snyder cut🙌❤️
I'm 21 and I should be thirsty about Timmy, but the truth is I'm here for oscar daddy isaac. Spoiler: will he appear in the second part of the movie?
Skarsgard is so none pretentious...he is so real.." I didn't need to know the back story...I just showed up"
Good, but who is playing the sandworms?
Dont Forget to watch the movie you all we need the second part stream it
Stellan Skarsgård was the best character in the movie.
