David Silva had 10 seasons in the prem, in the first team and never had an off-season. Kept himself to himself, never negative press or interviews. Just pure beautiful football. 10 years without ever dropping form for me is top 5. I feel like these lists suffer from looking at the past with rose tinted glasses. Silva was world class.

If messi never won a trophy he would not even be considered as top 10 of all time. Stats are and individual ability are almost irrelevant if there is nothing to show for it.

Not a fan of the way De Bruyne's success is undermined because 'He's playing for man city' as if this is some sort of detrament on his performances. In my opinion KDB is already #1... He's already played 9 seasons. The longevity argument is mute in my opinion. His records speaks for itself.
KDB 249 app 65 goals (0.26) 106 assists (0.43) 4 penalties
Scholes 499 app 107 goals (0.21) 55 assists (0.11) 0 penalties
Gerrard 504 app 120 goals (0.24) 92 assists (0.18) 29 penalties
Lampard 609 app 177 goals (0.29) 102 assists (0.17) 32 penalties
I don't see how KDB is not #1 if you've watched both eras, you'd comfortably say KDB is by far the most talented out of the bunch, and his stats back that up. His goal ratio is better than Lampard's (without the penalties), and his assists ratio completely smashes the others, he's assists ratio is better than anyone in premier league history, and actually puts alot of great to shame.
Scholes in my opinion is clear 2nd, he might not be as good as Lampard and Gerrard in terms of explosiveness and headline grabbing, but he did things with the ball that neither Gerrard or Lampard can do, that makes him so good.
Gerrard is a very close 3rd, out of the 4 he's the only one that can single handedly drag his team to a win. The other 3 needed their team mates. But can Gerrard control a game like Scholes? no. Can he pass the ball like Scholes? no.
Lampard i think is undoubtedly #4 without any debate. He's not as talented as the other 3, his goals statistics were impressive, but like Gerrard so many were penalties. His goal ratio down to 0.23 without penalties, same for Gerrard 0.18 without penalties.
Both Lampard and Gerrard had better statistics than Scholes because they didn't have Giggs and Beckham contributing just as much. You would find Gerrard's and Lampard's team mates won't have anywhere near as good statistics as Scholes' team mates. Beckham 265 app 62 goals (0.23) 80 assists (0.30) which shared alot of the creativity of a team.
Anyways, sometimes statistics clearly don't represent the full story, if you watch the game and understand the game, I don't think you would say Gerrard or Lampard above KDB and even Scholes. Neither were anywhere near as talented.
I'm a city fan and David Silva is the best player I've ever seen in a city shirt. A wonderful little player. Maybe you had to really watch him to appreciate him because he didn't always grab the headlines.
De bruyne is the best player we have ever had? Silva is more of a legacy player and the fact he stuck with us for 10 years and was quality on and off the pitch makes him a legend but KDB is our best of all time without a doubt

Giggs had to be on that list considering he was left mid and his numbers speak for itself even if it were the lower half, he needed to be on there and I'm not even a United fan.
As for the top 2 I have KDB ahead of Gerrard in Vision/Passing, but Gerrard beats him in every other department... Gerrard was a one man midfield defending, controlling, attacking his work rate was also double that of KDB who looks gassed most matches and as mentioned was all done while playing with a bang average squad, he really had to be everywhere in a game and didn't have the luxury of having top players behind him to allow him to focus just on attacking... Gerrard was 3 players in 1.

Kante is awesome but just didn’t have the aura of Fernandinho.. ferna is just also my favourite type of player that can just effortlessly switch between 25 yard screamers, 30 yard switches and then towards the end of a game geniously break up play with clever interceptions tackles and my favourite part, awesome professional fouls. Probably biased as he’s my favourite player of all time but that’s the fun part of footballing opinions haha

Nobody can have an accurate opinion because if you ever pick an older player it’s called nostalgia bias, ever pick a newer player it’s called recency bias, and really there’s loads of club and country biases as well as personal preferences and a healthy amount of trolling for reactions.
Stop making things up. Lampard or Gerrard didn't have De Bruyne's short passing and vision, or De Bruyne's goalscoring, or assists.
The way to look at it is which player at their peak would be first on the team sheet of an ultimate XI. For me it’s De Bruyne followed by Vieira/Gerrard/Scholes about equal.
The way you should run this is by picking a play, both sides say where they have them, and then you make a decision where to put them

Nah, Gerrard did everything defend ,control ,attack and was like having 3 players on the pitch especially with how average his squads were, KDB has him beat in vision/passing no doubt but that's where it ends, he is also lucky to have such an amazing squad that he can coast when he needs to as he more often than not gassed when he has to exert himself too much.

As a chelsea fan, ive witnessed Gerrard era. He was unbelievable in every play style. He can attack, assist and defend. I think theres one time again Ac Milan where Gerrard had to play as a defender. This is all debatable and matter of opinion, I dont see the point in some people in the comments arguing about it, they were all great at the end of the day. Just depends on who you prefer. Given that neither of the people deciding the list in the video are Liverpool fans and put Gerrard at number one speaks volumes for Gerrard though.

Kante is easily top 5 midfielders in the prem. Look at how every manager has spoken of him. Literally 2 players in one.
You can't be the greatest midfielder of all time without winning the premier league. Don't bring he played for a weaker team. Ngolo Kante won the premier league with Leicester and he had only Mahrez and Vardy with him. Whereas Steven Gerrard had prime Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso and still failed to win it.

This once again shows why Michael Carrick is my pick for the most underrated Premier league footballer of all time. Did not even get a mention.
He played in the Prem longer than Makelele, Xabi Alonso, Essien, Gundogan etc but those players were better. Doesn't mean Carrick wasn't an amazing player but he definitely doesn't crack the top 10 considering those players didn't make it. Probably just makes it in the top 15.

I’ve skipped to the end and happy to see people actually putting some real respect on scholes, guy was a great of the premier league by far a better player than many on this list. That’s a great pack of players if I had to rank that 10 I’d swap Gerrard to 2 and have KDB as no.1, & besides that I’d think of putting Rodri in for kante in another year or so
This question is flawed. How can you possibly compare Ngolo Kante to De Bruyne? And say one is better than the other? They play completely different positions! It’s like asking who is the best defender in PL history and comparing Ashley Cole to Rio Ferdinand! You can’t compare a CM to a CAM to a CDM.

Cesc Fabregas is criminally underrated. He is better than Silva, Scholes and Yaya. The guy gave his prime to Barca and yet have more assist than all of them above him in the list. He has also had 6 seasons with 10+ assists, showing how consistent he really were.
