These are so called basket-weave coils ("Korbspule" or "Korbbodenspule" in German) and are wound on a special template which is later removed. You can find some info (in German, but with many pictures) here: www.jogis-roehrenbude.de/Spulenwickeln.htm
You need a high-impedance antenna-input (e.g. 1 Megohm) or a buffer-amp with a high-impedance input to connect a tuned LC tank-circuit with a receiver.
Thank you very much. I really enjoyed this series.
This was very interesting. Thank you.
Where can I find instructions on making a winding like the one at 18:07? I've done lots of googling, and found example pictures but no instructions.

@@KainkaLabs thanks. I am starting your magnetic antennas playlist now. You have good content!
Hello, I'm interested to antenna for LW, is possible to connect it to a RSP1A by SDRplay?

@@KainkaLabs , thank you.
Hmm - Didn't expect paper to be so bad.. Nice tutorial! Could you please translate the other low-loss materials at 16:00 ?
..Also - how would glass/epoxy (FR4 material) stack up against the polystyrene and quartz?
