Dziękuję, Paternal grandparents are from Małopolskie & maternal grandparents are from Podkarpackie. Favorite coat of arms is Podkarpackie with Podlaskie a close second.
Fascinating info and thanks for the slow pronunciation. I’m English and been living near Poznan, Greater Poland for the past 8 years. My favorite part of Poland where I spend a lot of time is Cieszyn in the Silesian voivodeship.
My grandparents came here in 1907 from Poland. I never asked questions or learned much about where they came from. That generation may have been more reluctant to talk about it since in many placed life was so hard, especially in the Russian zone. It was thru Ancestry I discovered they were from Lomza so that would currently be Podlaskie. I found it on their marriage license from Massachusetts on Ancestry. I read that the districts/voivodeships have changed a couple of times since 1907. Its been a couple of years since I looked into this. I forgot more than I remember. It seems I remember Lomza being the name of the Voivodeship at that time, 1907.
My mom is from Podlaskie and my dad from Małopolskie so by default I like those :) But I really like the Pomorskie coat of arms, and I always wanted to visit the northern coast.
Thank you for the discretion of these provinces. I like them all but I would say I'm leaning toward Mazowieckie as it resembles the Eagle on the flag I fly both at home and on the ensign on my boat. A couple Facebook pages I am on folks argue weather it is an eagle or falcon. I've always know to be an eagle.
Very educational! Thanx! Provinces.....where Gdansk is....the home of Lech Walesa. Also Our Lady of Czecstakowia....also Krakow..the home of Pope John Paul II. 😊
Mum came from Kulno. After three years of Polish language studies at UBC (university of British Columbia) my Polish professor wouldn't allow me to do the fourth year because I had an Anglo-Saxion tongue and couldn't pronounce the soft Polish words; which is true; German is easier because it is the root of English.
Excellent! Pronunciation still throws me. Dads side is from Malopolski, Moms from Podkarpackie. Thanks for these. RS

My grandfather is from Lublin. Love the coat of arms for Lubelskie
Great job...appreciate the way you speak slowly and distinctly pronounce each word by syllables.
Dzięki!!!

Dolnośląskie błąd, nie Lublin tylko Lubin. A tak to łapka w górę za dobrą robotę 👍
Nice Channel!
