    Wow. That was fantastic. You totally get it. Thank you so much, Black Cat. You rock! This makes me wanna give out and have a beer with and discuss spiritual philosophy.
    Gonna share this on social media for sure.

      OMG, I got a reply from Anders! Dude, you just made my year. I'm a huge Draconian fan and can't wait for the new album. My next reaction, which has been delayed for quite some time, will be for A Pale Tortured Blue. Tons of interpretations can be made of it, but I have a path of thinking on it that I can't wait to share. Rock on, Anders!

      @@blackcatreacts3800 Let me start by correcting myself:
      * makes me wanna go out and have a beer with you
      Pleasure is all mine, Cat. Really glad you enjoyed it and it was such a reward watching a reaction video by someone who actually discuss the lyrical content on a level of understanding. It is very rare. I have a feeling you share some of the sentiment.
      Sophia's story is indeed a Luciferian story, yet, her fall was not because rebelling against God, but she fell because she wanted to know God to the point the passion took over, not yet fully understanding the requisite of creation. And, the major god of the Gnostics is not the judgmental, sadistic god of the 3 major religions. This lesser "God" was the offspring of Sophia as she fell from the highest realm. The unintentional first manifestation of the Ego. The Demiurge... Humanity is asleep bending its knees to the adversary.
      Anyways. Lyrics of SOVRAN is a bit tricky for the most part. A few of them was written in a somewhat anxiety trance state. Like the one you mentioned, for example. Very curios about what you can come up with. Also, I am curious what you have to say about some songs of the new album.
      We are sharing your reaction video to Lustrous Heart today on our official Facebook page, as well as Twitter. Maybe even Instagram. Find me on Facebook and keep in touch.
      Peace, and thank you again.
      Anders,

    I'm surprised by the number of asks I've received for more Draconian reactions/interpretations, so with that, I'm going to devote my next couple of vids to more of Draconian's accessible songs, coming from Turning Season Within, Sovran, and perhaps A Rose for the Apocalypse. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

    Draconian has been a favorite for many years. It's nice to see someone else that appreciates them just as much. Also agree that Anders has some of the best harsh vocals.

      Many thanks for dropping by the channel and commenting! Much love, big home. The doom metal scene falls into the spectrum of what I consider a bit of the more extreme kind of metal; however, Draconian has several more recent songs that elevate the genre. Stick around the channel and subscribe. I'm going to react to more of their accessible offerings soon.

      Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark -- some of the best metal comes from these places. Glad you're enjoying the reactions/interpretations. Draconian is a standard bearer. I would recommend starting with their album, "Turning Season Within", as it is perhaps their most accessible album to date. You'll get to hear the previous female clean singer, Lisa, who was amazing in her own way. "Bloodflower" on that album is beautiful.

    This draconian song is one of those that I could persuade my wife (who is a non-metalhead) to listen to and she actually enjoyed it :))
    I appreciate this video because I really liked this song but could not quite understand what the lyrics were pointing at. Most of all because I didn't have the knowledge about those gnostic references and let's face it, most of us who know a little English don't really perceive much of the English literature. Now it makes much more sence and it seems even more beautiful and subtle...
    I Prefer Heike's vocals over Lisa's because IMO hers are much more emotional and delicate. So now Draconian's vocal duet fits better in the concept of "Beauty and the Beast". I had no idea that she was South African... Have you checked out her "ISON" Project?
    Another interesting draconian song for me is "Stellar Tombs" which I believe also contains gnostic and cosmic themes. I wish that someday you find the time to make an analysis over it... Best of luck :)

    • @blackcatreacts3800
      @blackcatreacts3800  4 роки тому +2

      I am familiar with ISON, good stuff. Heike and Lisa bring different flavors, but I too prefer Heike. It's amazing as Heike had no formal training; she taught herself. She's an artist, through and through. Have you seen her artwork? Mind blowing.
      I can do an interpretation of Stellar Tombs. I appreciate the suggestion. Much of the Sovran album deals with cosmic transcendence. I've never taken a critical ear to the song, as it's not one of my favorites from the album, but I'm sure there's a ton to unpack with regard to meaning. I'll try to give you and the Black Cat fam my interpretation next week.
      Last bit of randomness about Heike... I discovered her when she was featured on vocals in 2012 with the South African band Warthane. They only made one mainstream album, but it is great. It's like death metal and thrash had a baby and created a beautiful monster. Listen to their track, Autumn's Woe, if you missed out on Warthane. I'm definitely going to react/interpret that one.

    • @mohsenhaghparast141
      @mohsenhaghparast141 4 роки тому

      @@blackcatreacts3800 Yes I have seen Heike's artwork and they are brilliant. I appreciate your effort on the interpretation, it will be really nice.
      I didn't know about Warthane, thanks for mentioning. I will surely give it a try.
      another interesting fact about Heike that I read among the comments section in Lustrous Hearts video, is that she probably got influenced by Aleah's vocals after her collaboration with "Halatar". I personally think it kind of seems true after I compared her before and after Halatar vocals. Now her singing sounds more whispery and angelic which could be a tribute to Aleah in a way.

    I've had debates with Anders on Facebook, enough so that I ended up blocking him on that social media platform. Though, I will always be a fan of Draconian, I don't necessarily agree with much of their more "spiritual" lyrics.
    I do indeed believe a human is meant to be free, enough so that they can discover their inner selves, comprehend who or what they are. Our rebellious nature, however, often becomes a lifestyle of its own, taking shape in the form of deception. We are never honest with each other, in that sense, more-so consumed by a desire to discover who we are, rather than focusing on connecting ourselves to others.
    If Christianity speaks of their deity as the "God of love", then that's the only religion that can claim a deity to represent love. Why is that? It is because love is the emotion that requires a oneness, not a division. Were there to be two deities to represent love, we'd have division, not oneness. We'd have more competition, over union. So... for 2 humans to say that they love, in whatever "subjective manner" as Democracy likes to describe, they will be more likely to say that their brand of love is different, over another's. Then, they will turn to lust, because lust is based around personal gain, earnings, and respect, more than a unity between people.
    What love is different from another person who loves? We speak so heavily on division, and yet, we cannot comprehend where it originates. Reason. That is where it originates. We reason ourselves our of responsibility, all too often. Responsibility is for what we create, be that of a family or friends. We know we have contributed to their making, by supporting them. In the love for them, and in that lacking freedom, we never say to ourselves that we have a choice? We never say that we have a choice to care for them. If we are always yearning to be void of that responsibility to keep a family together, then it is no wonder that the family unit has been ruined, in recent decades.
    Reason is a human's ability to escape responsibility. When we reason, we question. When we reason, we believe we have both freedom and a choice. This has its limits, and those limitations are not being enforced. In the sense that a person is responsible for taking care of their children, is the exact reason why we are meant to be limited by our choices, by our freedoms.
    For what this song states... freedom being ultimate. If freedom is ultimate, or absolute, or unlimited, then it is inevitably going to sink into that area where we always say to ourselves, "I have no choice but to do this." And then, we'll be reasoning, or escaping, or questioning ourselves when it comes to our responsibilities.
