Great content bro. I’m always a Mcgaughys fan myself but in this comparison i can see FTS is definitely bringing it ! I’m glad to see the front cross member design looks great on 3/4-1 tons FTS compared to the other FTS kits I’ve seen on the 1500’s I’ve not been a fan of and then with the added chrome accents it really makes it a great looking lift . Cv axles angles clean 🧼 too. Yalls trucks are sweet . !! !! Love it.
@@JWMontoyamy 10 speed shifts rough and it’s delayed a bit seems like on 4-5 positions 1-3 positions it shifts good I even did a new tcm and tuned and it still shifts delayed it’s not constant butter 🧈 shifts ????
If i had to choose. Id take JWs truck. Tbh. Highlighter and blacked out so sexy. Im not a sema truck guy so all that gay chrome and constantly washing the pavement princesses aint my thing either. JWs truck is PERFECT.
on a 7-9" McGaughys lift kit on a 2012 chevy silverado 1500 4wd on Nitto Ridge grapplers 37*13.50r17 will i have to run spacers on the 7 inch part of the kit and if so what size?
Do you know how much front cutting he had to do to fit the 42’s? I got a 12” cognito going on a 2024 gmc 2500 at4 diesel n they look like there not going to fit. 28x14 on 42’s
I got a question...you're control arm is very thing...is that size ok for the size of the truck ? I guess my thing is wouldn't you need a bigger or beefier control arm ?? Just wondering
@@JWMontoya an 05+ super duty 60 will work on gms. Depending on your area u can find them at a junkyard and pay the price in weight of steel. The hardest part is cutting out all the ifs . A shop can do it for around 3k if u source the axle urself. And no comparison between 1ton axle and any ifs with tires that big
Notification Squad Where you at!
This video was perfect. Doing a 10-12 inch FTS and 38s on my 2024 Duramax
12 inch lift is where it’s at. 7-9 is like running a leveling kit now days…
Shut up
Can you do a full walkaround/overview of your truck. Like what wheels, lift, rims are on your truck? Thank you! 😃
Great comparison vlog JW! Very informative!

JW your truck is literally right there with it…slight difference! 👍🏽
Nice video I needed to see this for my truck
Black n chrome looks sick
I like JW trucks more I cant stand huge wheels
You would love having a 10-12 at 10 inches on 38's, no trimming and have a better ride.
Could I run 38x15.5 with 26x16 inch wheel for the McGAUGHYS
You’ve got 38s and a 10 speed? How do you feel about the constant shifts vs the more classic 5 and 6 speed Allison’s you’re used to? Fan of it or no?
I love it. Definitely smoother than 6 speed but not everyone seems to like the 10 speed

Shout out to Showoff Motorsports. They’re around the corner from me here in Cali 👍
I really want the 12” but here in Utah you can’t even drive it without constantly getting pulled over by cops.
Both nice but that big monster is where it’s at! Great content thanks.
As always great content JW, why can’t we upload pics on comments? Anyone?
Thank you. I don’t think you can
Love all these mall crawlers. A more functional kit is the BDS kit. That's big boy pants status.
How is the ride on the 7-9” lift? I did the same lift with 26x14 on 37 and have a wobble when i hit 75-80miles per hour.
It's always better to actually be there by the truck to decide which size is best for u
How does axle spacers affect the track width??

Way bigger. FTS for the win
even with your being a smaller lift your CV axels are more angled than his.
I do ppf if you ever need it again bro.in Gwinnett ga and we only use the best.we do a lot of dealerships cars like Audi and higher end companies.
Are cognito upper control arms better than mcgoughys? Anyone have a preference?
So is a 7-9 but you need leveling kit to setup at 9 ? So is 7 all around originally?
What about the diff ratio Is it stuck !!?
Cute, I have a 30 inch total lift on 44’s

Any time you lift your truck and running stock offset wheels, you need wheel spacers.
@@JWMontoya even the 17*9 fuel wheels with a -12mm offset

Personally I would go with 40s for better fitment on 12” lift
@@JWMontoya did the guy have to cut much on the 10-12” lift ? Thanks
Does that mean that your front driver side wheel sticks out more than all other wheels ?
I got a question...you're control arm is very thing...is that size ok for the size of the truck ? I guess my thing is wouldn't you need a bigger or beefier control arm ?? Just wondering
But does it tow anything?
Blk /chrome killing it
How much was your lift $$?
Did the Denali need any fender / bumper cutting
Would you say spacers are bad ? If your trying to run a 24x12 on a 2020 and I tow?
How heavy?
@@JWMontoya probably like 18 thousand pounds.
I love my 12 inch fts on 40s
The rear end of truck is always 2 inches narrower lmao. It's for better turn radius lol
Black and chrome is the shit
I like GMC... What a very STRONG ARRIVE .....
Unfair comparison bigger wheels taller lift.
Why would you waste your money on the ifs kit. It would have cost less to solid axle swap it and would be hell a lot more reliable
How would it cost less and be more reliable? I’m interested to know.

How in the hell do yall afford all this?
Whats the fuel mileage on these trucks????!!!!
Who gives a fuck?
Fts is way beyond Mcg.
Chrome
It’s the tire lol
Put them 40's on there
That FTS lift is mega ugly
Nice 👍
Walk around next time!!
