i cried like a baby when klaus went to visit Elijah while he was playing the piano and gave him money and when Elijah looked at him he didn't know who he was
You know what i like about this scene. Charles Michael Davis's acting. Its almost as if he can see all the memories and pain Elijah has gone through and towards the end he saying "Let it go". Like he's finally truly understanding what all these years of brutality and violence have taken from Elijah based on this pathological dependence on this vow and he's trying to help him. I think that was the most healing moment he and Elijah have had since that night on the bridge.
I don't think Marcel is ready to forgive. Right now he's like Vincent, only there to do what's best for the city which is get rid of the Hollow. Marcel understands better than anyone, outside the Mikaelsons, what the vow means to them and what it's cost. He's known for almost two centuries. I didn't see healing but maybe some sympathy for Elijah giving up the thing that makes him who he is. The healing moment was his scene with Klaus.
Those flashbacks though.. I wonder if Marcel will ever know that he was significant to Elijah, too. I wish he had a talk with Marcel like Klaus did. Admitting his sins and explaining actions and all that.
Haejin An I am not sure if Marcel is capable of understanding why any of the Mikaelsons did what they did. This whole Season he had his head too far up his a** to even care for their reasoning. Most people didn't notice that Vincent opened Elijah's mind with his powers in order to let Marcellus compell him. And this marvelous scene was truly devastating. No matter what we all can agree that the vow of 'Always and Forever' only cherished because of Elijah. For the thousand years, he was the one to kept this family tied up in one thread. Without him, all the pearls of this necklace would have scattered. And not to mention that he endured immense pain to honor his vow and be with his family. There is one deep root that the creators enhanced in Elijah and Niklaus from the relationship of Stefan and Damon that they have a longer time span to create stories and thus allowing creative space to fill in. And now after all of these, it was hard for both Elijah and Niklaus to stay away from each other. However, it is hardest for Elijah since all everything he did for last thousand years were the attempts to redeem his family. And this... well, at least it relieved his pain. And then he goes to Manosque. He promised Hayley that he'd take her there. And finally, Niklaus sees him, living his life wherever and however he wanted to live. Perhaps, this could be the best portrayal of love among family.

I am SO GLAD they included Finns death to the flashbacks showing how even though he wasn’t always there or mainly part of his promise… He still loved him as a brother…. And he wasn’t forgetten by Elijah……
The soundtrack that is played during those flashbacks is amazing, makes the scene so much more epic, and the fact that it's also played when he gets his memory back, such a powerful and moving moment and the song is about 80% of that impact! I actually shed tears watching the scene where he gets his memory back!
@@lyssettelopez8133 It's unfortunately not a song but just a soundtrack made for the show so it's impossible to find :/ I wanted it so bad but scores made for TV and movies aren't always accessible.

I hate the fact that Vincent looks like he's enjoying this hmmm but damm so angry he's gunna forget all struggle he went thru for what to forget all in the end stewww
Candacy Braiitwaite true but you gotta see things from his perspective. The originals did alot more damage to the community and the witches and let's not forget Finn had taken over a couple months of his life and made enemies out of people he didn't even know. He didn't ask to be a part of all this vampire crap but ended up being in the middle of it all. He will always dislike the mikealsons and will probably never forgive them for everything.
The sadness in and shock on Klaus's face when Elijah removed Marcel's heart. Elijah was breathing heavily as well. You can tell how difficult it was for both of them.
this I thought was the saddest scene of the season not because he will loose all the pain but because he won't remember the good times & the love they had.
It was heartbreaking for me to see Elijah like as he was always the one who tried everything in order to never break that vow even when his only turned against each other He always made sure of keeping his together "Always and forever"😭😭😭😭
@@lovelylune3basically, in order to protect Hope, Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol each took a part of the Hollow, this ultra powerful, malevolent spirit/witch, into themselves and can now never be near each other. Because of Elijah’s singular focus on Klaus’ redemption, and his devotion to his vow to stand by his brothers side, he thinks the only way to stay away from Klaus and keep Hope safe is to have Marcel wipe his memories of “Always and forever” so he’s not tempted to help Klaus, thus help the Hollow regain access to Hope.
@@deadpooldan9862 I know but I just want to know what exactly happened at the end of this clip, like did it just end like that or did Elijah do/say something else?
I survived a lot of sad scenes in TVD maybe shed a tear for one or two scenes but this scene killed me. I cried so fucking much. It felt like Marcel is taking Elijahs core, his moral and familly, everything he stood for. It felt like he is literally deleting him and all he was. So so sad. I cried like a little baby.
Sobbing uncontrollably. Especially at that Always and Forever in the end. When we had first seen that scene in TVD, I had started looking the originals in a different light than how they were painted by crybaby-damsel-in-distress-Elena. Now watching the Originals, makes me realise how pathetic almost everyone in TVD was.
Black Cat Tbh I love Elijah just the way he is. That's why he is so special. His devotion, his inner struggles, the way he tries to hide the darkest parts of himself behind that mask of a perfect, noble man, even his suits serve that same purpose. That's a fun role right there. But it sure will be interesting to see him free from that burden just not for too long.
Originals cannot be compelled because they have one of the strongest minds in the world. The only way Marcel was able to compel Elijah because Vincent opened up his Mind, thus allowing Marcel to compel him.
I usually don't cry when i'm watching tv but I cried like a little baby when this happened. They literally deleted everything he is in this scene. Loyalty, unique love and bond towards family. It felt like they are breaking Elijah by doing that. They deleted everything he was for over a thousand years. One of the saddest parts of TVD/TO world, I can't wait to see the last season.
Klaus had it right, this "killed him". The very core of Elijah is compelled away, gone, along with all his memories. The new "Elijah" isn't Elijah. Imagine if one of your siblings who you love woke up and didn't remember you, your family and had a different personality now (when Klaus went to bring Elijah home and Elijah said "...thats not me..."). Essentially your sibling would be "dead".
This scene hits deep Aside from the weddings and last family dinner in the show all that we seen in his life these 1:58 to 2:27 were his best most cherished memories of him being happy or feeling close to his family (being there for his brother. Seeing his love life and his niece happy. Being there for both his sisters . Taking a family photo for the first time In decades ...hugging and showing his closest brother the scenery looking happy, another family photo taken decades ago , getting joy from teaching young marcellus ) what a live he lived
Only thing I don't like is they made Marcel more powerful than the Originals. I've never liked the idea that someone become more powerful than the protagonist(s), except for the villain but Marcel isn't one. Was really hoping he'd lose his powers, still hoping but I don't think it'll happen any time soon. A good ending for the seasons despite, opens major possibilities for season 5.
at this point Marcel won't be losing his powers I'm assuming that when Vincent said Marcel have not begin to tap into to his powers that means there's more to his new powers so we are going to see more of that in season 5 and also more of hope powers as well
See stupid shit like compelling an original happens when Julie Plec is about to take over. I guess Klaroline won't be too far off and Klaus will really become soft and nurtured
Klaroline won't happen I have faith! I was so happy to see Klaus visiting Cami so sad but emotional. I miss their dynamics! I hope next season him and Elijah get great love stories. This thing with Hayley needs to end! I just want they to have strong female leads and a perfect fit for both. This show needs to get hotter, better and more powerful. There are no epic love stories. At least we got Kol and Devina and Marcel and Rebecca. Now we need girls for Klaus and Elijah. I want to see Hayley cry that she let him go when she sees that he got rid of the monster inside of him! But I don't want him to ever fall in love with her again!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with Klaroline except Plec is baiting the audience. She is greedy and wants a spin off. Then she will keep baiting people to watch both because of Klaroline. She is obsessed with Hayley and Caroline, and soon all the originals will be sacrificing themselves 24/7 to be with both of them. Look it's okay I love Klaroline but Plec cannot write love stories and plots simultaneously , she jus can't do it.
In addition with this season where Klaus was soft and nurtured and barely part of the plot you mean? The last time I checked Klaus remained the villain in his whole TVD run. Klaroline or no he was still formidable. That got erased throughout TO and he became really soft and sensitive. I do not care about Klaroline. I only hope that they will manage to bring some balance to Klaus again between darkness and light because all this softness (that was created without Klaroline in the picture) does not suit him at all. At least in my opinion.
This was painful to watch, poor poor Elijah 😭. Come on writers, what's going on? It's scary to me this was the proposed ending for the series. Barely any insight into what Klaus was upto? All this servicing to Hayley, why are they forgetting this show is about the originals too?! Who is this show about now? Bring back the magic that was season 3 next year please.
I know I'm late but I don't think I've ever cried like how I just did over a show. Not even for TVD. This was just heartbreaking and now I'm just filled with sadness :(
I do like when lore changes for progression, but lore is always changing in TVD/TO for convenience. Nothing was more powerful than Original or can compel an Original. But, look at now. If a spell could have done the trick why not use it earlier. Bonnie was a far stronger witch than Vincent, but she had to fake her death with the help of the power of bthe spirits to do so. Upgraded Vampire serum? Need of a big bad villain. The prophecy to be centered on Marcel was so forced. Davina wasnt suppose to come back but, hey, since the hollow is old and got a lot of mojo, she can just snap her fingers.
+zee nyte vincent has also got his powers from the ancestors as well or from the hollow also so far we have learned that the most powerful witch lines are bennetts, treme, and mikaelsons but bennett are much older dating all the way back to quetsiyah bennett and creator of immortality spell and the otherside
Zee Nyte It's not even a matter of if Bonnie was more powerful than Vincent, which she probably was due to her family bloodline. You can have an uber powerful witch and they can still be defeated if they don't know what they are doing. Take Hope and the Hollow for example. Hope is much stronger than the Hollow, that's why it wanted her in the first place and even it's followers said so, but because the Hollow knew much more about magic and how to use it, it was able to take Hope over anyway. So it has more to do with the witches training and skill than the power level. Strategy and cunning rather than brute force.
THIS BROKE MY HEART BUT WHAT RIPPED IT OUT OF MY CHEST IS WHEN HE LOOKED AT KLAUS LIKE HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HIM because forgetting the pain, the love, the cherish of family and forgetting the vow is all of his memories of them
So we all understand that at some point for some reason in season 5 Marcel will die right? There is no way they are going to have Elijah ride out the show with no memory ? We all know what it takes to end a compulsion right?
The only way for a vampire to get his memories back after compulsion is to have the vampire who compelled him dead. Not 100% sure though, I seem to recall one of the Salvatore brothers managed to overcome compulsion on his own at some point in The Vampire Diaries
Yes the Vampire who creates the compulsion has to die even if its briefly. Season 2 of VPD Elijah compelled Katherine to stay in that tomb. Elijah was staked with the dagger and died briefly but it was enough for Katherine to be freed. Alaric compelled Elena but she was freed of the compulsion when he died. Lucid Dreamer - I think you're referring to Season 3 when Klaus compelled Stefan. I think Klaus ended the compulsion but Klaus did briefly die in Season 3 hence why Rebekah killed Elena because she was tethered to Alaric who had killed Klaus. Mind you I haven't watched Season 3 in a while so I might be mistaken.
mousz That was back when nobody was more powerful than the Originals. Now we have Marcel who can easily kick their butts. And Vincent the most powerful witch in New Orleans.
Jenisha G People in these comments arent really fans of the show. They're like super annoying critics that have a fan fic in their heads they want the show to reflect. Truly glad the writers dont listen to them.
Ya'll annoying this proves ya'll dont pay attention. No a reg vamp cant compel an Original. BUT With the help of Marcels upgraded power, Vincents magic, and Elijah opening his mind to him Marcel pulled it off. Thats It. Ya'll making it so deep 😂😂
ReeseRetro #1 Plug I know right I feel like the people in this comment section haven't watched season 3 or 4 because they'd know Marcel is more powerful than an orignals and he has ancestral magic now. Then when you couple that with Vincent's magic and Elijah actually just opening up his mind to them it's very plausible that he can be compelled
Miguel Diaz There wasnt nothing stronger than an Original back in the days. A vampire couldnt give birth, but loophole states hybrid can (I guess). TVD/TO is always about exploiting the loophole.
emy ; -sekki is my command- Yeah. A hybrid that has been dead for 1000 years somehow has viable sperm to reproduce. This show is all about creating stupid loopholes whenever it serve the writers

The soundtrack that is played during those flashbacks is amazing, makes the scene so much more epic, and the fact that it's also played when he gets his memory back, such a powerful and moving moment and the song is about 80% of that impact! I actually shed tears watching the scene where he gets his memory back!
What’s the song called? Like the one played at the end when it’s the 3 of them?
@@lyssettelopez8133 It's unfortunately not a song but just a soundtrack made for the show so it's impossible to find :/ I wanted it so bad but scores made for TV and movies aren't always accessible.
He sacrificed his happiness and love for the sake of his family.
No... he just destroyed his family
@@The_Memorial yes
The Originals are supposed to be the strongest and unkillable yada, yada, yada but every fckn season something comes thru that can kill them. I'm ready for Marcel to get kncked back dwn some kind of way and Vincent to stop lookn dwn his nose at the Originals.
well I hate to break it to but Marcel is stuck the way he is so get over it will you
Ree TheLion I agree
Zach Kabia true. Wish they had more mythical creatures but it would be hard to balance their strength
"All the love.... forget it" OMG
this I thought was the saddest scene of the season not because he will loose all the pain but because he won't remember the good times & the love they had.
Moss Men
I love the way marcel just broke down how much Elijah loves his family
Please can someone tell me exactly what happened and was said at the end of the clip? I can’t find it anywhere!
It was heartbreaking for me to see Elijah like as he was always the one who tried everything in order to never break that vow even when his only turned against each other He always made sure of keeping his together "Always and forever"😭😭😭😭
Please can someone tell me exactly what happened and was said at the end of the clip? I can’t find it anywhere!
Same background song they used when Finn Died.. beautiful . Anyone know the name?
hey. did u ever find out the name?
Did u find the song?

omg I'm crying like a baby😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭nooooo
Please can someone tell me exactly what happened and was said at the end of the clip? I can’t find it anywhere!
Hope : Dad ?
Klaus : Hope, I love you
Hope : Dad ? Dad !
Who is excited to see a whole new version of Elijah next season???? Daniel is probably so excited to play a more fun role now!
Black Cat NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Black Cat Tbh I love Elijah just the way he is. That's why he is so special. His devotion, his inner struggles, the way he tries to hide the darkest parts of himself behind that mask of a perfect, noble man, even his suits serve that same purpose. That's a fun role right there.
But it sure will be interesting to see him free from that burden just not for too long.
"All the love..." *flashback to Finn dying* Brb, crying my eyes out 😭😭😭
Ikr
@@ahmedobaid4987 That one really hurt 😭
😭😭
I felt the worst for Finn. He spent 900 years alone in that box because he didn't want to be a monster.
Everytime when Marcel said "forget it", I felt a stake in my heart
Originals can be compelled now. Crazy!!! The flashbacks though
Originals cannot be compelled because they have one of the strongest minds in the world. The only way Marcel was able to compel Elijah because Vincent opened up his Mind, thus allowing Marcel to compel him.
this made me cry they better find there back together I wont give up on Hayley and elijah
It's so sad to see this comment after knowing what happened 😭😭😭
@@angelsrageunleashed5441 💔💔
They used the same song when he got his memory back OMG I’m crying 😭
It's so sad 😭😭😭
Does anyone know the name of this song?
so powerful !! they still will be always and forever the unbreakable bond siblings share I don't have words for it !!!
Taking a family photo for the first time In decades ...hugging and showing his closest brother the scenery looking happy, another family photo taken decades ago , getting joy from teaching young marcellus ) what a live he lived
they weakened the strength of the Originals, when they made it possible for their sire line to be broken.. and now this?!?!😑😑
This episode just broke me...I am shattered, crying in the dark
i cried so much watching this scene and all the flashbacks weren’t helping 😭
i don't cry for a movie , but my eyes can't stop. it's hurt to see them go
This was the saddest moment of originals besides hayley’s death
The flashbacks with marcel telling him to forget everything literally felt like the hollow ripped my heart out and stomped all over it💔
Only thing I don't like is they made Marcel more powerful than the Originals.
I guess Klaroline won't be too far off and Klaus will really become soft and nurtured
dj love Klaroline was never sappy. And, it was something Kevin liked. Julie on the hand...lol...
What's wrong with Klaroline though?
They didn't just compel Elijah, they took his soul
This was so freaking beautiful. WRECKED me!!!
my heart is broken 😭😭😭💔💔💔
The memory I cried the most at is when the said always and forever holding hands
This was the part that destroyed me 😭😭😭
No joke I was streaming tears when this was over
Just saw this scene. Fuuuuuckkkkkk the feels. The music is so well done too.
OMG I was crying my eyes out!!!😥😖😖😖😨 ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!!
I have a question what is the music?
You can tell Marcel wasn’t that happy in doing it cuz deep inside he knows the love Elijah had for him as a child💔
They have broken my man!
THIS MAKING ME CRY IN 2020. i haven't watched this since the first time i actually experienced this but this second time and my heart just shattered
My heart is broken💔💔💔💔💔 Why Elijah why you want to forget everyone
Aww my sweet Elijah... So much pain n sacrifice.
I didn't cry. I mean. Maybe. A little. Okay a lot 😭😢
Davina wasnt suppose to come back but, hey, since the hollow is old and got a lot of mojo, she can just snap her fingers.
exactly you are right but mikaelsons fans don't like change on this show
+zee nyte vincent has also got his powers from the ancestors as well or from the hollow
also so far we have learned that the most powerful witch lines are bennetts, treme, and mikaelsons but bennett are much older dating all the way back to quetsiyah bennett and creator of immortality spell and the otherside
Sorry
Stephanie Fahey Why Marcel should die? What a reason to make such conclusions?
Stephanie Fahey if an Original can be compelled and his sireline broken, I am sure as hell that there's a loophole in the Julie Plec world.
@@TheMidnightWalkers or for the vampire to compell them back memories
This actually made me cry
2:51 whats the name of the song?
The originals theme
this one ua-cam.com/video/f1WybZtETKo/v-deo.html
One of the most emotional scenes ever
This is the biggest fucking plothole. Originals can't be compelled. It was established in TVD early on.
Fuckin' Plec smh.
marcel has the power to compel them and with the help of vince its was easy
Power has nothing to do with compulsion. This is such a dick move by the writers.
mousz That was back when nobody was more powerful than the Originals. Now we have Marcel who can easily kick their butts. And Vincent the most powerful witch in New Orleans.
MARCEL CANT COMPELL ORIGINALS it is made pretty clear. His channeling can with potential and help of a witch but he himself cannot
"Forget It" That Broke my heart
Why is everyone so mad? There is a loophole for EVERYTHING. Shut up. It had to be done.
Jenisha G People in these comments arent really fans of the show. They're like super annoying critics that have a fan fic in their heads they want the show to reflect. Truly glad the writers dont listen to them.
No this cannot be the end of always and forever. This made me cry so much.
OMG THE MUSIC AND THE SCENE FROM TVD SEASON 3 GOT ME 😭😭😭
This such bullshit.. originals can't be compelled even if marcel has all the power wtf is this show turning into smh...
Miguel Diaz julie plec idea bitch is taking over
Miguel Diaz I feel you
Daneille Cotterell strength has nothing to do with compulsion, originals can't be compelled
This is....without a doubt....EASILY one of the top three saddest scenes in ALL of the Originals....right up there with Klaus saying goodbye to his daughter....twice and when I thought the whole lot of them were going to die. Elijah has been the rock that has held the Original Family together from the beginning....especially for Klaus. His mantra from the beginning has been ALWAYS AND FOREVER and he held his siblings to that promise....and when Marcel compelled him to forget it all, it completely broke my heart. Especially when he looked RIGHT AT his brother and there wasn't even a HINT of recognition or love. I get WHY he did, but damn it was heartwrenching.
Why not just compel him to never c his family, use didnt have to drain the whole water reservoir 😩
the LAST SCENE WHERE KLAUS, REBEKAH, AND ELIJAH HELD HANDS AND SAID ALWAYS AND FOREVER
There should be no way in Hell an original get compelled unless by another original not by this Shit. fuck this seasons ending!!!
